Peper and Archie were the ones that stood out the most.  I think we need to make Peper the 6th man over Nichols.

Yeah we can give that a shot and see how it goes.

Nothing on my end at the moment.  As you said, will wait to see how the team does in our first piece of action.

Alright, I will leave that up to you and the staff to decide how much to dial it back.  I want to reverse course real quick, how do you feel about Carr's play thus far?

I think we are equipped to beat both teams.  Fort Worth is young and inexperienced so we SHOULD be able to beat them.  Jacksonville is a little tricky.  They struggled the first two weeks, but they have a very good team.  It's still early in the season so we just play our game and we should be fine.

Not too bad of a start.  Once Diggs gets going we will definitely be even better.

We can definitely do that.  Is this a game where we increase the blitz to apply pressure, or dial it back to try and keep everything in front of us?

Alright Coach Hall, I'm done with the Showcase.  I think we have some useful information to help us prepare for the draft.

With that being said, let's turn our focus to Bama.  Do we stack the box and make Ortega try and beat us with his arm?

Good way to start the season.  Once Long gets going we are going to be tough to beat.

Yeah he is off to a better start than most of the rookies.  The media is trying to stir up stuff....but I say we keep him coming off the bench for now to provide that spark.

Need a few more games to really pinpoint a major issue, though I think we should look at this in a glass half full lens.  We averaged over 100 points a game even with the bad shooting.  We shot a bunch of threes and even if we shoot 5% better that's a potential big enough swing to tilt the games in our favor.   I think we should also look at getting Phillip Robinson some more burn.  He was effective shooting the ball and could be even better with more minutes.

Tough start, but we played the top two teams in the league so it's not as bad as it looks.

I don't think we make the switch just yet, Thomas is just a rookie so naturally it will take some time for him to adjust to the pro game.  I will say that we can definitely increase Justin's minutes and his production warrants it.  If Thomas continues to struggle then we make the switch after a few more games.  I'd say give him at least 10-12 games to fully adjust and get his feet wet.  Justin isn't a big complainer, I think this is just an isolated incident

He's only slotted 4 minutes, which basically means there is always a good chance he won't play based on the other rotations and how the game is going.  This is the pros, so I'm not playing someone just to play them.  With that being said, I think the bigger issue might be the fact that a rookie is starting over him and he's a veteran used to playing.  And to make matters worse, Smith hasn't really played all that great which gives Justin some ammo.

Mr. Glass, wanted to be the first to welcome you back to Oakland!  It is my hope that bringing you in will take our already great defense to an even higher level.
