Right...

Everyone please.

The first half of the season has been decent. Inconsistent but decent and we are in a good place right now.

I know some of you were close to Tommy and Mike but our two new recruits are here to make sure that the second half of the season is even better and goes even further than last year.

Carl has told me he is fit to play but he knows to step back if he's not 100%.

Large Cox were a great part of building our franchise, what I believe all of you standing before me can do is, is forge a legacy. ..

You boys have always had faith in me. Keep it going now as we go into battle once more...

Good to have you here man. You are gonna get a lot of scrutiny given that you and Michael have been brought here in exchange for 2 cult favourites in the eyes of the fans.

You just do what you do best and you'll be golden. You ok?

I'll let you get together with Carl and get acquainted ahead of next week.

Tristan Lopez please.

Tristan. Welcome to Lincoln man. How are you feeling

I know you've been pushed from pillar to post with trades but I want to let you know that I hope that you have found a home here in Lincoln with a top level QB in Carl Bloom.

I have high hopes on you mate.

I just want to make sure you are going to be ok. Doc had you down as doubtful on the listing and it looked to be a hefty bump you took.

I know you have the heart of a lion but I want you to look after yourself. I don't want an act of bravado setting you back long term. I won't tell you to not play but if we get a little breathing space, take a rest ok?

Before I do though, can I just thank you and your team for the first half of the season. It's had it's ups and downs but without you, we wouldn't be a contender so thank you

I think it is a long term positive move for us. Hodge needs a top level qb... we have that.

Rough win this week. Ground out the first half. Free scoring Miami next. Do you think we can contain them?

It's a risk I've balanced up. I put the like of the fans against the talent of Michael Hodge and while he's struggled with mediocre Quarter backs, we have one of the best in the game. Large Cox forged a cult following, Michael Hodge can forge a legacy here

S10 WEEK 9

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
We came up against a plucky Tulsa team that took the game to us and we managed to overcome adversity and get the win. What disappointed me was when they came up against it, Tulsa decided to try and crock our players. Justice prevailed though. It's good to get a win at home though.

2. Give us an evaluation of the first half of the season for your team, who has stood out both good and bad?
The good has been we've kept up the success we had last season with the talented roster we have. The bad has to be that we are still struggling to find consistency. If we can get that sharpened up, the second half of the season will be a lot better for us all.

3. With where you sit in the standings, how do you feel about your chances of meeting your owners expectations and how do you grade your performance as GM, what about your job security?
I see myself grading at a B right now. Everything is coming together and we are bang in line for the playoffs again but there is still room for improvement. We could improve out home rescord but we have scored more points than nearly anybody else in the league. We've beaten KC but lost ro Rapid City; something I aim to rectify. I'm under contract so security for me is fine right now. It doesn't allow me to rest on my laurels though as I am like the owners; I strive for something more.

4. Who is your league-wide Mid-season MVP?  Who has been the most surprising under performer?
For me, I may be biased but you can't look further than Thomas Large. The guy has delivered for us this season and is developing well with Carl Bloom. Under performing is for the dirt sheet writers to snipe about. I don't get drawn into that.

5. Which of your division rivals has surprised you the most? How and Why?
Rapid City haven't had the best of starts to this season. It may mean I avoid them in the playoffs!

6. With the Trade Deadline coming up this week, Do you see yourself as a buyer, a Seller, or do you plan to hold fast with what you have?
I have my eye on proceedings but if they happen, when they are announced will be when I announce them AFTER the deals have been agreed.

7. What is your opinion on the league's newly announced luxury tax rule, do you believe it is fair, and do you believe it will benefit the league?
I love it. Exploiting teams and funding championships should be clamped down on going forward and I support this.

8. Talk about your game this upcoming week, what do you need to focus on most?
A trip to Miami... They love to score big, we love to score bigger. There's a reason that it will be the featured game.

S10 WEEK 8

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
What went right was the first half. The second half was what went wrong. Our consistency continues to prove to be our downfall this season but at least we are still putting up points.

2. Talk about this weeks league news, what stood out most to you? (cover at least two topics)
GM Lucas continues to baffle and has caused an innocent man to lose his job now. Yet when he reaches Twitter, he enjoys playing the victim and lashing out at others on Twitter. Somebody needs to have a serious word with him.
Trade season brings chaos and a lot of eagerness for insanity. It's always interesting to see what goes down and what is up for offer.

3. How did you feel about the first annual HIFL/NCAA Showcase?  Do you feel like it was a beneficial addition to the league?
It was incredible to see it unfurl. It's been very insightful to see what is going to be making an impact on our league next season and the stars of the future.

4. What was your take on the amount of GM errors that occurred during the bye-week?
It happens. We all make them at different times and it's how we handle the errors going forwards.

5. Do you plan on making any call ups this week before locking in?
I shall be making that discussion with the coaches.

6. Talk about your game this upcoming week.
Tulsa are having a torrid season and GM Franchise has been given the dreaded vote of confidence from the board. They will be looking to turn a corner while we are determined to regain our momentum going forwards. All in all, it should be an exciting week.

GM Wrong looks at Lucas and nods to him nonchalently and shakes his head sadly. He looks up at his captains.

"And you thought WE had it rough..."

They laugh as though it were a sitcom and await a freeze frame. They realise that this is real life and look around awkwardly..

Just remember you're representing the entire franchise. Go head back to training boys.

Can I gather the captains please? Carl Bloom and James Hill.

Captains, I have discussed the rap video with the boys. They are going to be mindful going forwards. Do you have any pressing concerns?

34
General Manager's Office / Re: TEAM : LINCOLN PRIDE

It's certainly... creative. I never knew you boys had that kind of hidden... depths.

A few people aren't happy about it though and while I applaud the creative nature of your extra curricular activities, I'll simply advise you that some critics will come out and not be so understanding.

You two are high profile players in an up and coming franchise and as such, there's scrutiny on everything you do. Just be mindful that all this is a reflection on your teammates and your franchise.

If you guys want to genuinely look into this as a serious post playing career option, let me know and so long as your performances on the pitch continue to be...  as you might say... hot fire... then maybe I can dip into the funds we have to hook you up with high level producers.

How does that sound?

S10 WEEK 6

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
Quality win against quality opposition. We kept the defence tight and the offence showed their mettle once again

2. Talk about this weeks league news, what stood out most to you?
I will be talking to my guys about certain videos and their content in due course. Other than that, may I suggest a sat nav for GM Franchise.

3. What do you make of the news of the newest GM's to join the league? What advice would you give them?
It's always good to see fresh blood come in. I know how tough it is to come into this limelight and feel the pressure straight away but the league has a great support network and they should use it to its fullest potential

4. With the draft class being announced later this week, do you plan to target personalities, skill sets, or position groups at the college showcase?
We always keep an open mind to try and make sure our future is set.

5. What do you hope to gain most this week during the bye week, for yourself but also for your team?
Rest, recuperation and the hope we can keep a hold of the momentum that we were developing going into the break

Good work kid! Keep it up going into the LB game and we will be great!

Ok everybody gather around.

Boys, we are at a stage where we can really take control of this league. We have all the talent at our disposal and last game against KC we showed that we are coming of age. We go up against Long Beach now and the pressure will stay on us to maintain that momentum.

I believe that each of you can take it to the next level.

You do yourselves proud, do me proud and do the name of this team proud.

Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
A quality win against a quality opponent. We had it all to prove and we did it with aplomb and now our season is starting to take shape.

Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the toughest thing to prepare for this week?
Long Beach up next and I have a lot of respect for Black Death. He's a top GM and a top guy. We have to make sure that we remain consistent going forwards.

Gather everyone...

Boys, it's make or break time now. We have been inconsistent so far this season and managed to top the division by fortune alone. We are going up against a team who will be a massive hurdle for us but should we manage to get the win, we will be established as THE team to beat in this division.

Will it be tough? No doubt. Have we been hurt by injuries and injustices? No question about it. Do we deserve to be where we are? Most definitely.

The coaches believe in each and every one of you, the fans have the faith and I have every expectation in you being the best set of players that this league has seen. What I want from you is for YOU to believe in yourselves.

On too many occasions so far has the expectation gotten to you and the defence has proven to be porous. That ends now. Do each and every one of yourselves proud.

Pride on 3...
