1. Talk about the last series. What was the highlight of the weekend for you?
Another series defeat which was tough to take after what was easily a Highlight of everyone's weekend where we won a thrilling game two.

2. Talk about the incoming draft class, do you feel it's too early for players to have to choose this soon into the season on college or the pros?
I think it's a little early to discuss the future of talent at such an early juncture of the season as well as it being too early for youngsters to bet on their careers at this early stage.

3. How do you feel about the potential changes the league is looking into?
It will be interesting to see what's on the horizon. I hope it is for the betterment of baseball.

4. Talk about any other news that sticks out to you?
Another injury for the veteran after one pitch for two games running... That's unfortunate.

I believe any solution to the PED issue that has plagued the sport for years is a good thing for all.

5. Talk about your opponent this week. What will be the key to victory?
It's a prime time match with New Orleans and we are hoping to have a successful weekend.

Well the good thing about the team is we have very few spots opening up at the end of the season one I tie Jarvis to a new deal.

How is Teddy getting on? Is father time creeping up on him?

I think the guys deserve to hear it. Two games we've fallen behind early and 2 games we've battled back to win. Hopefully the boys can reflect and realise that the Alabama's, Rapid City's and Michigan's won't afford us the luxuries of a comeback.

How do you think it went? Any major concerns going forwards?

S11 WEEK 6

Greetings everyone! What an amazing event we are at!

1. Talk about last weeks game.
Last week was a tremendous example of the heart the team shows each and every week to come from behind once again to beat a very passionate St Paul team. It was nice to see Anderson but we weren't going to show any leniency.

2. What are your thoughts on Hilton Keegan and others skipping this Rookie Showcase and committing to either the XFL or AAF?
Good for them! Both companies need high profile stars and if they want to set the bar lower for themselves and give themselves a chance to develop before coming up to the big league then all the best to them.

3. What are you hoping to gain from this weeks Showcase?
I hope to look at some tremendous talent and give myself an idea ahead of the draft.

4. What did you schedule for your players during the bye week? Training or a week off?
A little of both. First and few days are going to be about resting up and recuperating. A few guys are coming back from nasty knocks so I'll beaking sure they're in top condition ahead of the next challenges ahead of us.

5. Talk about anything else on your mind in reference to the league/sport
I've heard many snide remarks about my friendship with some of my roster. I'd like to address that now. I like to be a manager who views his roster like family. Of you are comfortable at your team and content, then the performances come rushing in. If I spend time with my team to ensure their well-being, it's because I care. That's not a crime to do and if they view me in a positive light because of that then so be it. It works both ways in this industry and for me, respect goes a long way towards breeding great performances

Ok... I'm going to break it down for you.

You are in your second year as a pro and you're on your what... Third team? What does that say about you...

As much of a talent that you are, you are not the first choice QB here in Lincoln. I have said time and again that if you push the envelope on the field, that you will get a chance. That reflects not just on your ability, but what you say to the media though and disrespecting the franchise and your teammates will not be seeing you get a chance any quicker.

I wanted you here in Lincoln because you are a talent, and one that could be a real presence. Part of me right now wants to give you a chance against St Paul but what I want from you is a little humility and a sign that you want to work with Carl and the rest of the offence to be an integral part of us here in Lincoln.

I don't want you to be a talent that people say "what if?"

WEEK ONE

1. Talk about opening week. What did you take away from it?
It was a defeat but only a narrow one. We have a lot of learning points to take from it and develop on and we are feeling positive.

2. Any news stories stick out to you this week?
Brandon Wolfe is an absolute discovery and his performance this week showed what vision the coaches have here in Omaha so all credit to them.

3. Do you think there is PEDs in the game right now?
It's baseball. I think that's a given but if I were to discover it in my franchise, there would be directed consequences

4. Talk about your opponent this week. What will you have to improve to take the series?
We take on a very tough Thunder Bay outfit. If we keep the momentum going from last week I am sure we can make it a tougher fixture than they had last week

Aaron... Take a seat...

Look, I know you're hungry, it's why I requested you in the trade with Tulsa. But one thing we pride ourselves on here in Lincoln is a little humility. The coaches are impressed with your work in training but if you want a shot at being the QB, you shouldn't be going to the press... You should come to me. Now, what is it you have to say?

Are the new guys starting to settle?

32
General Manager's Office / Re: TEAM : LINCOLN PRIDE
« on: February 06, 2019, 10:29:07 AM »
I'm glad the performance went down well.

As for Kitchen, how is he performing at training?

The way I see it, I can take it 2 directions...

Either utilise a slightly struggling team such as St Paul this week to give him game time and shut him up...

Or I have a word with him, tell him to wind his neck in and try and find a trade option for him

S11 WEEK 5

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
Well first of all it's nice to be in my own clothes for this interview. Credit to GM Oldfield for being a man of his word. It was a lot tighter than I was expecting this week but the heart shown by the boys to get 2 late touchdowns really showed how far we've come I. 2 years. The jersey retirement seemed to also go down a treat as did the musical performance afterwards.

2. Talk about the news that caught your attention this week...
Banana peels, 102 yard field goals and butthurt owners. The HIFL, where else would you want to work?

3. Now that you have completed your first round of divisional games, how do you rank the teams in your division and who do you believe will be the biggest threat to your goals?
Theres no question that we are in the tightest, toughest division with us being the 1 in 4 and 1 for Kansas City. We are 3 and 2 which for a team that has had a couple of changes during the season, I would say is fair. We are aiming for a sweep hopefully when the second lot of games comes around.

4. Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the key to victory as you step out of division for the first time this year?
St Paul have struggled so far and Rebelicious is trying to get out of the shadow left behind by GM Gooch and a win against us would go a long way to help that. The trouble is, we don't feel very helpful and are looking to maintain momentum to keep up with the pack.

POST SPRING TRAINING

1. Talk about how you feel spring training went. Who impressed you the most? Who did you feel under-performed?
I felt that it went really well. Splitting the difference was a positive sign and as a team on the rise, it's nice to see young talent performing well.

2. Are you going to make any roster changes before the first series of the season?
No. Not at all.

3. As the season gets underway, where do you project this team to finish in the standings?
Pre season is a lucky dip for many teams so it's hard to work out who will perform thanks to using some reserve talent. I'd like to see us just put out decent performances week in week out.

4. Talk about your first opponent and the key to beating them in the three-game series
We start with Mexico City who had a mixed start much like us. It makes for an interesting game. I look forward to the challenge

S11 WEEK 4

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
A disappointing defeat against a tough divisional rival. We'd have liked to have kept the momentum going but we can quickly get it restarted.

2. Talk about the news that caught your attention this week...
To be honest, seeing a talent like Mr Sullivan let go for such a weak reason makes me question how that franchise is being managed. A Lot of teams could benefit from his input and before you ask... We aren't one of them.

3. One Quarter of the way through your season, What have you learned about your team so far, and where do you see your season going?
We have shored up a lot of gaps from last season but there is still room for improvement.

4. Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the key to victory?
My old friend Mr Oldfield is coming to Lincoln and while he has done admirably in his first few games, we won't be making it easy for him.

It's a veritable battle of Britain and I wonder if Mr Oldfield would be tempted into a little wager. Say... The loser has to Don a Union Jack suit for their next press conference...
