"Alright, thanks guys. That's all I needed was to confirm that with you. Go ahead and head back down to the practice field and lets get ready to pick up our first victory of the season against St. Paul this week."

----

"Ivanka, would you please forward this information on to the necessary people at Ford for me. I'll be notifying the league of our expenditure shortly."

1.25MM “Built Ford Tough” PR Campaign for Ford Motor Company featuring the Cleveland Mustangs Starting Offensive Lineman

500K - Regional television advertising campaign featuring the Cleveland Mustangs starting offensive line with highlights interspersed throughout the commercial of some of their biggest hits and grittiest moments doing the dirty work that so often goes unnoticed. In between those highlights will be footage of the 2019 Ford F-150 driving off road, sloshing through mud puddles and running smoothly over rugged terrain. Narration for the video to be done by each of the linemen, who will talk about how they know what it takes to operate in the most difficult of places on the football field, and the Ford F-150 knows what it takes to operate in the most difficult of terrain. And just like the Cleveland Mustangs offensive line, the Ford F-150 is Built Ford Tough.

500K - Establishment of the Ford Motor Company Tailgate Lot outside of Profits-Ford stadium. The offensive line will choose a local restaurant or chef for each regular season home game to come and cook “tailgate” style food for the fans who choose to tailgate at this lot. Fans who register themselves as the designated driver for their group will be entered into a drawing that can win them prizes like a game used football autographed by the offensive linemen, a team store gift card or, for one lucky fan at some point in the season, a brand new Ford F-150.

250K - Stadium theming featuring banners, signage, etc of the five starting offensive linemen who are “Built Ford Tough”

Now that pre season is over with and people have a better feel for what they have on their rosters I figured I would drop this reminder that Doug Cato (3* DT on a 1 year, 4MM contract) is on the block. Looking for a mid round draft pick, or package of picks, in exchange if anyone is interested. PM me or message me on Discord if you would like to make an offer.

"Gentlemen, as I'm sure you're aware, the Mustangs organization is partnered with Ford Motor Company. As part of our arrangement we have agreed to have some of our players represent both the Mustangs, and Ford, in an advertising campaign.

Now, personally, I don't believe our offensive linemen get enough credit for the tough, hard work that you all put in week in and week out. So, my plan is to put together a campaign that would feature you all as a collective unit. But, before I went ahead and set that plan into motion I wanted to give each of you the opportunity to say no to it. If you don't want to be a part of this there will be no repercussions or anything of the sort. Now is the time to speak up, though, if this isn't something you want to do."

"I agree. So we'll make sure to get them the extra work they need on their hands. Just to confirm we're documenting this properly, the training that I note during our weekly lock in is on top of their regular work that you and your staff delegates, correct? I want this work to be above and beyond what you already have scheduled for them throughout the week."

"Hello everyone, good to see you all again after the conclusion of the preseason. Lets get right to your questions shall we?"

What did you gather from your preseason games?

"Well, above all else we've got room to grow on both sides of the football. I really felt like the game against Lincoln hinged on a few key plays and if those had gone in our favor, the final score could have been flipped. All in all I felt comfortable with how we performed on offense, outside of the dropped passes. And on the defensive side of the ball I think there is a lot of potential, but again, a lot of room to grow. We're not where we want to be by any means yet, and there's a lot of work we still have to do. But we've got new coordinators on both sides of the football and it is going to take us a little while to adjust and really be firing on all cylinders.

In the second game of the pre season, I felt like we got some young guys much needed experience. Cody's stat line doesn't reflect the game he actually played, as again we dealt with some unfortunate drops in key situations. But he managed the game well and didn't turn the ball over. Against a top notch, Impact Bowl contender who was playing their starters on both sides of the ball for the majority of the game, I think he held up well. And we saw flashes of what could be out of some of our young guys as well. Again, a lot of room to grow. And clearly the 30-0 scoreline indicates that we were soundly beaten. But the preseason is about getting the kinks worked out and getting ready for the games that do count, and it's about getting young guys experience. On both fronts I think we made progress even if it doesn't show up in the box score."

How much stock do you put into your teams preseason performance?

"Our performance gave us an idea of areas where we need to improve, especially in the game against Lincoln where we played our one's the whole game. But I think we've showed we've got an offense that can score and move the ball quickly. But, again, there's room for improvement and we need to improve and get better from where we were at if we want to go where we believe this team can go this season."

What is your primary and secondary goal this season, personally?

"Everyone's goal should be the Impact Bowl, regardless of what the preseason pundits say about each teams actual chances. With that said, our primary goal outside of that is to assert ourselves as a force in the division. There has been a lot of turnover in our division over this past offseason and I believe there is an opportunity for us to capitalize on that. Secondly, however, our goal is to get these guys comfortable in the system that they're in, and get them to function in it to the best of their ability on both sides of the ball."

Who impressed you the most on your own team in the pre-season?

"I'm going to give you a player from each unit. On offense we are thoroughly pleased with the play of Eugene McReynolds who, really, dominated the early offensive downs against Lincoln. And on the defensive side of the football I'm going to throw a surprise at you guys and drop William Fulcher's name out there. Two picks against a top tier quarterback like Daley is exactly what we want to see out of him."

With the start of the season finally here, what do you expect from your players in week one?

"From the veterans, leadership. I expect them to begin to really show the young guys what consistency is all about. I expect us to continue to get comfortable in the new system on offense, and with a new coordinator on defense as well. Above all else, though, I expect us to bounce back.

Any other questions?"

"Forgive me, I meant the reserve roster not the minor leagues. My apologies on that. Anyhow, if you're comfortable with Woz then so am I. Our scouts identified a solid defensive catcher, who doesn't have a great bat, as a potential catcher for us. But, again, if you're comfortable with Woz then we'll keep him.

When it comes to Hankins I think we'll just have to find some at bats and some playing time for him throughout the season when we can. Looking forward to this first season with you all. Is there anything you feel needs addressed right away? Otherwise I'm just going to do my due diligence in regards to scouting before we move on to free agency."

"Oh. Forgive me Coach Blitzer, I thought you had stepped out but since you're still here, thanks for that report on those three guys. Mind giving me a run down of what our two rookie LB's do best, and what areas they need to focus on as well. And, with Carl McConnell, I know when we brought him up last season and had him starting across from Embiid he was still pretty raw. And given that he's still a young guy I imagine that's the case. But, at his best, what do we project him as? Is he someone we think can eventually be an elite defensive end? Above average? Serviceable? Basically the question becomes is it worth it to continue investing additional training hours in season with him, or is what we see what we've got?"

"Coach Stanley, it is a pleasure to finally get to meet you. Now, this has been a successful organization long before I ever was offered the position of General Manager and a lot of that is thanks to yours, and your staffs, leadership and instruction. With that said there are a few things I would like to ask of your. The first would be an honest evaluation of your staff, and if you are content with who you are working with currently. And the second would be what you feel is the best policy moving forward in regards to our catcher, David Wozniak, and our young second basemen in Troy Hankins. I have my eye on a free agent or two that we could make room for in regards to the position of catcher. As for Troy, is it merely a matter of needing more playing time? Or would he be better suited working with the minor league affiliate to get some seasoning on him?"

"Coach Lee, thanks for stopping up. I don't want to take up too much of your time as I know you're working hard to install your new system. But I'd like to get a feel for some of the young guys we brought in through the draft this year, in particular Cody Northstar, Jeffrey Perryman and Richard Shelby. In your opinion, what are their areas of strength, and their biggest areas where improvement is needed? We invested a lot of extra training hours in some of the rookies on the roster last season and it proved beneficial. I would like to do that this season as well."

So, I suppose the first matter of business to get to is how you want to handle the preseason. With the new coaches and, especially on offense, the new scheme do you want to focus on playing our starters more? Or would you rather give guys like Cody Northstar and our rookie running backs the opportunity to get some game experience?"

"No no. Matthew Graham is our starting free safety. I was simply observing that this season he's got a guy behind him whose natural position is at Free Safety as well. Last season we converted Charles Southern to back him up in order to keep a veteran like him on the roster and also give a young guy like Ronnie Paige an opportunity for some playing time at the nickel. My observation was merely that, having another player that plays the position to work with, and off of, should do nothing but help Matthew push himself to greater heights. And the same goes for Devon, a young man who has all of the talent in the world but hasn't yet quite been able to put all of the pieces together. Being around each other, and competing against each other, day in and day out, week in and week out, should help both of them to take the next step, and the one after that, in their development."

"Well, it's good to be back in front of you all again after a hectic off season. It seems to have gone by a lot more quickly than I expected it to but regardless, here we are, looking forward to another season here in Cleveland. I don't have too much else to add to that so lets get to your questions, shall we?"

Use three words to classify how your off-season went, and explain.

"The first word I would use is change. Obviously you all are aware that we terminated the contract of Coach Marshal Roy. We're grateful for the time and the effort the put into this franchise but felt it was best to move in a different direction. To replace him as our offensive coordinator we hired Nico Lee to head up the offense and I expect his influence, and play calling, to make an impact immediately. On the defensive side of the football we brought in Ronnie Dawn, formerly the head coach of THE Ohio State Buckeyes who we are thrilled to have with us as well. On top of that we added another defensive minded coach in Richard McKenzie. In my honest opinion I believe this to be a staff that has the potential to be the best in the league. Coach Blitzer is an elite coach himself, and the men we now have here to aid him are going to do good things.

The second word I would choose is youth. If you look at our roster, we've made a point of getting younger over course of the last half of last season, and this offseason. Now we have a good mixture of veteran talent and leadership combined with the youth movement we brought in through trades, through free agency, and via the draft. I said it from the moment that I walked through those doors I want this to be an organization that continues its pattern of sustained winning. Some tough choices needed to be made but I believe that in both the short term and the long term we are much better off now than we were.

Finally, the third word I would choose is potential. Because right now everything we have is just potential. From here on out it's about execution and these men getting better on the field day by day, and week by week, to make sure that this season doesn't end with the same bitter taste that the last one did."

Coming out of training camp, where do you rank your team in the division, in the conference, and in the league?

"Listen, when you look at this roster top to bottom there aren't any holes. We've yet to put it all together and get to the point where we want to be at, but I believe in these guys and I wouldn't take any other team in this division, in this conference, or in this league over the guys that we've got here in Cleveland. Now, that isn't to say that there aren't a lot of other talented squads in the East. Obviously the defending Impact Bowl champions, Alabama, are a nightmare to deal with. Robles is an absolute beast and their defense is filled with playmakers. But there isn't a team in this league that we can't contend with, and for that I believe in this team, with this coaching staff, being the best the league has to offer. Especially once everyone gets comfortable with each other."

Do you have any position battles planned for the preseason?  Which jobs are up for grabs and what do you hope to gain from the preseason games?

"I think we're pretty set across the board when it comes to our roster right now. Though I am interested to see a bit of competition play out between Doug Cato and Glenn Totten. And I'm curious to see if being pushed a bit by a guy like Devon Kruse might be exactly what Matthew Graham needs to fully ignite the fire underneath him and see him reach the heights at Free Safety that I believe he can and will do. Or, maybe, Kruse will be the one to finally have things click and take his game to the next level. But coming out of training camp, and heading into the pre season games, the biggest thing I want to see for this team is us getting more comfortable, especially on the offensive side of the football. The scheme we've run the past few years compared to what we're going to be doing this year is a big change. I believe it will be for the best and, because of the leaders we have on both sides of the football, I believe it will happen quicker than others may expect."

Ed, I think you did a good job being that this was the first game you ran. There were some hiccups, sure but the game progressed smoothly and people got more active as it went on.

I'm still learning a lot about mafia myself but I would agree with a lot of what Kirk said, a QT or at least informing the scum team at the start who their teammates were would have been immensely helpful for them. I was confused as to why there were never really any night kills, and the fact that scum operated with town-type abilities at times also threw me off a bit because of the way things went in conjunction with the write up (i.e. Gooch seeing the Joker without facepaint). I never would have voted for Gooch as scum without checking his role (which I didn't use on him when I had it because I was convinced he was town after the way it was written up) and finding out myself. Thankfully, Talon was able to come in late, catch up and convince people to vote with him.

All in all, though, like I said. With this being your first game. I had fun. I was into it. And you did a nice job making the write ups and story interesting. If you were to decide to mod again at some point in the future, I would definitely sign up.

Investigation proof roles are common, gooch clearing you doesn't do much for me.

On its own I could accept that but given the write up points toward what Gooch said being truthful I find it interesting you’re openly criticizing it like this. You better kill me in night phase, T. That’s all I’ll say.

Interesting that you are accusing me of being scum after being cleared by Gooch as town. I'll look forward to seeing your explanation of this in the next day phase, Talon, if I don't get killed in the night phase.

Yikes and if Jon is town (which my master of deduction powers are guessing that he is now given his reaction lmao) and Kirk is town, that's game yes? 6 left and 3 are scum with a night phase coming?

Sonofabee.

Vote: Jon

I was confused by Powers and Eli voting for Jon after Talon seemed to have information that nabbed scum (why didn't either of you address that?) but if Jon is voting for Jon there must be something to it.

Talon offered nothing that would indicate he actually had information on Boba being scum other than him stating it, which is no more substantial than you or anyone else saying *insert character here* is scum.

If he knew that you are scum, he would have presented that information. Didn't seem like it was something that needed addressed, more like a shot in the dark from a guy who two posts earlier had said he hadn't been able to keep up with what was going on in this game.

I guess we'll find out.

I've been leaning that way myself after this last write up, Powers, so I'm going to do the same and...

Vote Jon

apologies, I've had a horrible time following this game and don't know whats going on.

Alright so here's a quick breakdown

Powers had a 1x vig kill, used it on Justin who turned out to be town (corroborated by John McClain killing Jack Sparrow in the night 2 write up, who are Powers and Justins characters respectively)

Gooch had a 1x ability to look into someones role and used it on me because he thought I was playing scummy. Revealed me to be town. (Corroborated by the write up saying that Rocky Balboa saw The Joker without his facepaint on, and those are his character and mine respectively)

The only three people who were not physically seen in the write up were Jon (Negan), Gates (Tyler Durden) and Franchise (Mr. Miyagi).

Gates is silenced for this days worth of communication so he cannot currently respond.

Leaving Jon and Franchise as the only two who were not seen or heard from during the write up. Currently we're waiting for them both to give an explanation as to why that is. No votes have been cast yet today.

Also, Pancho was mod killed for inactivity (I assume).

That should catch you up.

That....was a wild ride.

Anyway, I got a 1x vig kill after I drew 3 votes to myself.  That's why I posted the way I did, because I wanted them so that I could get that ability.  I chose Justin because he seemed the scummiest to me.....it did not go well.

*awaits the incoming votes*

This explanation is reasonable enough for me. Though, this could also be something scum would say to distract from the fact that they were actually the one making the kill (which would then point to there actually BEING a scum kill on night two). But if that's the case I don't know why Eddie would blatantly reveal your identity. So I'll lean towards believing you.

I was told that I would not have a first night ability but I would have a second night ability. I used my night ability to check on Eli because I don't like how he is playing. He came back as town. I know that there is nothing to corroborate my townness, but I want you to throw it out there. I received a message back saying I would not have any more actions. So this is my card and I wanted to lay it down.

Initially I was tempted to call BS on this, just because again I think this is something that could easily be tossed out there by scum to ease suspicion, but the write up lines up with Rocky (Gooch) catching The Joker (me) without facepaint on. So, I buy it.

With that said, knowing what we know now, that leaves us with 5 other people. Three of whom apparently are cursed (scum). That would be Talon, Jon, Gates, Franchise and Kirk. Only three weren't actually seen during the most recent write up, that would be Jon (Negan), Gates (Tyler Durden) and Franchise (Mr. Miyagi).

Using that information, I think that at least gives us a starting place to start narrowing down who to vote for today.

Yes, Gates, he did.

~ I don't know what Gooch is saying/doing.  You need to talk to him about that.

~ I thanked Kirk for voting me.  That should clue you in to the fact that I wanted to be voted.  For reasons that I cannot divulge.  Until tomorrow.

~ You've been fishing for the reason that I can't tell you today.

Could be the truth or it could be a convenient excuse to keep yourself alive one more day after playing your cards poorly. Given everything else going on I don't buy it. So unless you can explain further, or someone else provides a more compelling argument, my vote will stay on you.

46
????

I was trying what I thought was Talon's info with Power's info. There was no diversion. I'm trying to play smarter.

So you went with Talons initial info and what Powers said and then skipped the other 10-15 posts that have happened since then?!

Don't buy it.

47
No your voting has been all over the place. Day one you voted for yourself why? I'm sure now you'll say it was it was just supposed to be haha funny but if it was late game i'm sure you'd be saying "guys I voted for myself on day one, why would I do that if I was scum?"

Today you tag on a vote with Talon, and even Jon noted that you know better than to vote that poorly unless it was intentional.

Now Gooch comes up with a random excuse in an attempt to clear you? Come on now, even you know that screams scum. Nobody is fishing for anything.

48
Yeah I'm feeling the Powers vote myself. Personally what Gooch came out with feels like something meant to draw attention away from Powers or provide an excuse for him.. Scummy vibes from both Gooch and Powers but I'll go with my gut here.

Vote Powers

Kirk is listed as being Boba on the characters list.
