I'm familiar with it, but lately since their injuries started to pile up, Vegas has been running a 4-2-5 nickle and 4-3, so 3-3-5 shouldnt be a concern.

It was a noble debut, one with excitement, exhilaration, and of course triumph. Now we set out to vanquish another foe, one of legendary stature in this organization.  Luckily for us, I wield the thunder and can make the lightening quick throws needed to triumph once more.

Frustration comes from having his best season as an individual, but it not translating to victories.

Not if we send him to the minors.  The league isn't going to let us ceremonially demote him and then keep him at the team facility.  That would be a simple manipulation of the salary cap beyond the scope of the league's purpose of having our minor league affiliate.

The minor league players stay at the minor league training center and overall organizational complex. They have no ties to the Main Roster outside of affiliation.

I think the only problem I really see is that while we have talented players all over the field, none of them are elite talents.  At corner Dockery, Dorman, Gonzales, and Pugh are all good... but they are all at best a CB2, and at worst a CB3.

At linebacker We have a bunch of LB2-LB4 types, but no clear cut stud.

On the defensive line, we do have a stud in Harlow, but the rest, while talent aren't game changers.

I'm not saying we have to have a team full of super stars, but right now our team lacks hardly any defensive superstars, and as a result I feel like we're just a "solid" defense, not a great one.

As long as their performance would be family-friendly we would be happy to feature them during the half-time show as an opening act to the main guest.  Alternatively, if it would be more adult-geared, we could perhaps feature them in a less "official" capacity, maybe as a pre-show act that performed during commercial breaks for the early arriving audience?

Either way, we could most definitely give them a slot to perform.

Since trading away Barclay early this year they have been soft against the run, so I hope that Tank has a big day, but they also have a solid group of corners, so Urban will be tested when he does throw.

Bacon and McKenzie have a future on the squad, or Cox if you take one of the others out of the equation.  They are solid #2 and #3 receiving options I think, but unless Bacon becomes a #1, we need to find one. Whatever type of receiver he is, he needs to be good enough to be the primary receiver.  Outside of that, the rest are projects and backups.

Their run game is their bread and butter. So we need to focus on that first and foremost.  We've got the horses to win this division and to win the title. We just have to get back on the same page.

S11 - WEEK 11

LEAKE ACCEPTS MEGA-BUYOUT TO LEAVE LYNX, FREEING UP FUTURE CAP SPACE FOR NEXT GM!!

St. Paul --- The exodus continues in St. Paul as the Lynx franchise that has made trips to the Eastern Conference Championship game three straight seasons under the GM Gooch administration now finds itself struggling with morale and personnel issues as team owner Barbara Snow announced just moments ago that the team has triggered a mutual option to terminate the contract of Linebacker Stephen Leake!

Leake agreed to the buy out that will not only pay him the remainder of his salary this season, but another $20MM in salary on top of that this season in exchange for a forfeiture on any future financial obligations from the Lynx Organization.

This deal puts Leake on the market immediately, shaking up the entire league as all eyes turn to the 26 year old former 11th overall draft pick.

Leake has collected 729 tackles, 36 TFL, 41 Sacks, and 67 PD's during his 101 career games split between 5 years in Long Beach, a pit-stop in Atlanta and then the last portion of last season and the first half of this season in St. Paul.

I don't think that at all, we're just not finishing games the way we should.  Ups and Downs, thats football. We just need to heat back up and get back into the conversation as the top team in the West.

ADRIAN McCAFFREY LEAVES ST. PAUL AFTER OWNER INSISTS ON PAY CUT!

St. Paul --- The HIFL may have lost yet another star to the restructured XFL this week after news broke that Superstar running back Adrian "RUN AMC" McCaffrey left the St. Paul Lynx Organization out of frustration and is believed to be "done" with the Lynx as a whole after a heated exchange with team owner Barbara Snow.

Snow was said to have asked McCaffrey to help entice the next General Manager to take the job by reducing his annual salary by over $8MM per season. AMC, who has managed 4.5 yards per carry for 892 yards and 5 Rushing TDs in what has amounted to a lost season for Lynx Football, has compiled 40 total rushing TDs and 5,658 yards rushing in his 58 game career (3+ seasons) in St. Paul, but that appears to have come to a swift and conclusive end with the 21 year old back seeming content with continuing his football career outside of the High Impact Football League.

That makes sense to me bro, but with their new QB under center I wouldn't want to go stacked exclusively.  The kid showed some deep ball skill last week so I'd say early downs and short yardage we give them a lot of stacked looks, but we don't completely take out our nickle sets.

I think a part of it is that we're getting stacked boxes on defense. With our guys dropping so many passes its not a big threat for guys to "have" to play it safe.

That's at least my theory.

General Manager's Office / Re: TEAM : DC COBRAS

It is every coaches dream to one day deserve the job as head coach, but to be honest with you I am just not that comfortable with defensive football to be ready for that job right now.  I think on the interim I'm okay, especially with Coach Doors being a knowledgeable defensive mind, but I don't think I'd be putting myself or the team in position for success if I took the job permanently.

That being said, if you wanted to let me stay on as the interim HC for the rest of the season, we could see if I changed my stance with a strong finish to the year.
