Good.

Let's keep doing what we are doing and pick up a hard fought victory.

I'm glad you are our coach, I'm proud of this team, and I'm excited to see what we do.

Elsa, please call in Coach Swope.
-----------------
Hey Coach, looks like we drew Miami. They have a good defense, but they don't have a defense as good as ours. It'll be a battle, but it's a battle that we can win.

I'm ready to grind them into the ground with...what was it you called it?...an infinite resolve.

We are #1 in points allowed and #1 in rushing defense. We are ranked there having played the hardest schedule in the HIFL. I see they are #3 points in game and #2 in rushing. I believe we are going to shut that down.  A team's passing game is an aspect of our defense that some forget is that we have guys that can get in the backfield and mess things up. Hagan had 30 TFLs, Wilson 16, Fetu only played 9 games and had 3.  My records indicate we had 62 TFLs and 76 sacks as a team. That's incredible.

When we shut their run down, how do they do in the air?

This is my first experience with the bye week in the playoffs. should we just practice like normal? I don't know how we do film work during a regular week as compared to a week that we don't know who we're going to play I wouldn't know how that would work.

It's air I like to breath for sure, Coach. I can feel it. Almost taste it. I want to reach out and grab for it. This is our year, Coach.

What do you think would be the best for our men this week? I was thinking about putting some money into an event this week that could really encourage the players. I was thinking catering meal out on the football field. Nice tables, beautiful setup. Invite families. Have highlights play on the big screen. Just a great way to Hype the work that's going to come. Do you think that this would be an effective gesture or a distraction?

Thank you all for coming.

This week was a tough game against a tough opponent. Mike Powers is a great GM who has put together a solid team in a short period of time. It's never easy when we play each other. I'm proud of our team's efforts as we closed out the regular season.

I want to thank ADIDAS and Best Buy as well. Our fans have the best merchandise. Our fans have the best home game experience because of the technology at our stadium. Our players are taken care of. Our fans are taken care of. ADIDAS and Best Buy both want us to win. We have great sponsors who are cheering on our city to victory in this playoff run.

First question?

With the playoffs starting, what is your number one priority as the GM?

Keeping momentum going and staying sharp. We have been playing at a very high level and continuing to play better each week is imperative in the playoffs.

Who was your regular season MVP for the league, and also on your own team?

League wide MVP, in my opinion, goes to Waylon Hagan. His numbers were phenomenal. He was a beast. Over 100 tackles. League record for Tackles for Loss. League record for Sacks. He disrupted every team we played. To look at MVP of our team team, I'd look at Hagan and AMC. AMC had a great year and is a great leader. He not only did his best, but encouraged those around him to play great football. He wasn't afraid of contact and knocked some guys on their rears registering pancake blocks. You gotta love that.

Who do you expect to face next week when you host your first playoff game?

I expect to play a team that is hungry for victory, like we are. I imagine Curt Robles wants to meet back up with the St. Paul defense. Miami has a great defense and I think a game between us would be a flat out war. There are no easy victories in the East. Whoever comes to St. Paul will be coming with Impact Bowl dreams in their head. We will not lay down for anyone and we will protect our house regardless of who comes in. It's going to be an exciting playoff race!

What do you plan to do this week, will your players get some time off?

We need to stay sharp and that happens with being active. We will be gearing up for a huge home game after the bye week. I want our fans to be excited and ready to make a lot of noise for whoever comes to our house.

Alright. I'll head to the practice field with you.

---------------

Gentlemen, I want to take this time to let you know how proud I am of you. We went from a team that was being ridiculed in the first few weeks of the season to winning the best division in the world. That is a statement about your resolve in the face of adversity and your desire to be the best. We've created a culture for Success here in St. Paul and I'm proud of each of every one of you.

This week, the final week of the season, we are still going to give our best and continue to sharpen our skill. Iron sharpens iron. Michigan is a talented football team that is going to play their best this week. Let's show them St Paul Lynx football. Let's continue to gain momentum and go into the playoffs playing our absolute best football and ready to do achieve something special this playoff season.

I believe in you. I believe in the staff. I believe in the St. Paul Lynx.

Sorry, Coach. Popped a crown off and it's effecting my speech. Blitz ratio. Definitely don't want to break the law. I want us to win fair and square. Now that I say that out loud, that is a foolish thing to think. Making an adjustment right now could prove harmful (like taking in bleach). Let's do what got us here.

Do you think it would be a benefit to talk to the team?

Then let's play! I'm excited, Coach.

If the medical staff thinks that someone should sit then I want to listen to the medical staff. But if a player gets the green light let's utilize them to the best way you see fit.

I feel that we can match up well against Michigan. It will be important to disrupt Gio. Do you think our current bleach ratio is an effective area facing a team that rely so heavily on the past?

Well I would like to make sure that John Carr is completely healthy I do have concern that too much time off and we could end up getting a repeat from the first few weeks of the season. If him playing this week we'll get him in top shape and then in a few weeks we can be ready to win I would be okay with him playing but if you think rest will do good for him and that he will be firing on all cylinders for the playoffs that can work.

I always have a concern about not letting players play and end up losing something in the process. Do you think my concern is unfounded?

Talk about this weeks performance from your team.

We went into an absolute slugfest with a very talented football team. Our guys played with heart and walkef away with the victory. I'm proud to see Hagan get DPOTW honors again. Matthew Johnson came up huge this week. Big 44 yard field goal with a minute left. We played as a team. We won by team effort. I love that.

Always thankful to our sponsors Adidas and Best Buy. We have active sponsors who care about our players and fans. I believe that is something very important

With the playoffs coming up, what do you hope to achieve in this final week?

We need to keep building our momentum to a fever pitch. I want us playing our absolute best football and ready for the playoffs. I believe we have momentum on our side and having that wave of momentum to crest as we hit the playoffs is imperative.

Who scares you most in the current pool of playoff contenders, who do you hope misses out on the playoffs?

we playing the toughest conference in football. There are many teams on the bubble who are dangerous teams. Truth be told, I would prefer Alabama to miss the playoffs. GM Pancho has the innate ability to rev a team up into a frenzy and get the best out of his players. If they make the playoffs, Robles might have 400 yards against whoever they play in the wild card.

What do you need to do to win this next game?

We need to keep playing our brand of football. We need to use this game to be during at a fever pitch of momentum heading into the playoffs. Michigan may be out of the playoffs, but they aren't out if this week and you can guarantee GM Powers isn't going to phone it in and is going by to try to make a final statement. If we play like we have been, this tough game will be a victory to lead us into the playoffs.

I think we are in good shape to pick up another win. We have a lot of momentum, we have hungry players, and a great coaching staff.

Torres has declined this year, but was still a solid hand. If King causes you and Seaton pause, we may need to look at free agency to pick up a guard. How do you feel about King's ability to help our team at guard? Is free agency a better bet?

Talk about this weeks performance from your team.

We came up big this week. Great on offense and great on defense. We are really coming into our own with each game. I'm concerned about the injuries, but I'm proud of how the team kept their resolve and fought hard. There was no sucker punch about this game (or any game for that matter). We went to a tough place to play and squared up. I'm proud of this team for this victory.

Speaking of fighting hard. Did you see how many pancakes we had this week? 36...36 pancake blocks. That is heart right there. Faamoana with 8, Love and Wertz with 6 a piece, 4 from Torres, King came in and got two. Check this out though...Martin Back, AMC, Kidwell all had two, Peyton and Quick got in on it with 1 a piece. I love it. That's tough, smash mouth football. If you play St. Paul, there's a good chance that even our backs and receivers can put you on the ground. Gino Mathias jumped in and slung for almost 200 yards. I'm very proud of him. Carr threw 3 TDs. I love being able to trust the booth of Johnson, 4/4 on XP and 2/2 in FGs. I love it. Silva landed two inside the 20 and booted one for 63 yards. 5 sacks from our defense and 5 PDs with every level of our defense producing good football. I love a team that is hungry and are willing to play tough football. That's who we are in St. Paul.

We play tough and we look good. ADIDAS takes good care of us. Our guys are well taken care of and our merchandise looks great. Best Buy makes the experience at our home games top notch for fans, and our players get the best technology to prepare for games each week. I know people may get tired of hearing it, but our sponsors deserve recognition.

Talk about your team's news this week

Martin Back getting some love for his 3 TD game was nice to see. He had a great week and the terminology "dominates helpless Dragons secondary", I'm sure has GM Kirk ready to breath fire. Back had a great day catching the ball and I'm proud of him.

I saw it made the news that Coach Swope was talking to Coach Stark after the game. I know someone is going to ask if I'm worried about that. I'm not. I believe Coach Swope is the best coach in the league and it doesn't surprise me a bit that other franchises would be interested in him. Coach Swope and I will talk after the season. Coach Stark is a legend in the HIFL and they coached together for many years. They could've been talking about the future, but they also could've been asking about each other's families.

Storm-Force are a great tandem for New Jersey. They disrupt defenses. They make other team scramble. For us to hold them to 68 yards is big. No, it's huge. I have nothing but respect for both of those men and for us to stop guys of that caliber is big time.

Talk about at least two other news stories of interest.

Cleveland and DC playing to a tie makes things interesting. There's a good chance that a team winning 10 games could end up at home this year. The East is very strong.

I'm interested to see where Tombstone will be moving. I'm surprised to see them relocate. Tombstone has a rich history and I know the community will miss them.

I'm also very proud of Clifford Barbour with what he is doing with GM Justin's Oakland Silverbacks. Oakland came calling and he has risen to the occasion. I want to give praise where praise is due. He said he was going to do something and he did it. My hat is off to a young man with a good attitude and a good work ethic.

I need to show love to a future Hall of Famer in Curt Robles. He's been on an absolute tear since we played him. 300 yards in a game. That's legend level.

What do you have to do to win the game this week?

We are going to have to do what we've been doing. We have to take care of home and we have to play stifling defense and get our offense cracking. If we do what we've been doing, I think we will win this ball game.

General Manager's Office / Re: TEAM : ST. PAUL LYNX

Who was your star player this week? Who disappointed?

Andrew Roderick was Defensive Player of the Week. He had a great game! 7 tackles, PD, pick 6. Love it.

It's hard to say if anyone disappointed. We had 12 defensive players record stats. 10 PDs, 6 sacks, our offensive line didn't give up any sacks. Our run game and pass game were strong. AMC ran for over 140 yards. That's pretty awesome. I love it when we have both offensive and defensive players of the game.

How would you evaluate your team over the last few weeks?

We've scored 85 points in our last three games and have only allowed 33. Our offense is firing and people have to be honest against us. I'm proud of our offense and our defense. Our defense has only given up 2 touchdowns in three weeks. Robert Ponder's 21 yard TD from Stephen Shelley in Week 13 and James Booth's 16 yard pass from Peter Bain this week.

We are playing better football each week. We are gelling together. I'm proud of our efforts and look forward to each game and seeing us play with great fervor and ferocity.

With three games remaining, what is the plan to end the season on a high note?

Stay honest to our game plan. We play St. Paul Lynx football. The plan for us to continue to play at a high level. Stay true to ourselves, play hard, and play as a team. We have an extremely talented team and a team that is hungry for victory. Right now our we have put up 328 points and given up 208, for us to continue on the tear, we need to keep making the distance in those numbers further apart. Right now we are +128. I'm proud of this team!

What do you have to do to win the game this week?

We have to play our brand of football. We are playing a completely different football team this week than we played at the first of the season. Force and Woods have really come into their own and Ibrahimovic is giving them the pass threat they needed. It has breathed new life into their franchise. So trust me, St. Paul isn't going to go to New Jersey and think, "We've already beat them this year, time to coast." That's not how we play football. We will be prepared for them and will bring our best football to pick up another victory.

Would Norwood make a good 6th man? I wasn't sure if we wanted to pull in Dumas as the 6th.

Starters I have right now are Duckery/Brown/Sheppard/Smith/Johnson. Does that look right to you?

Do we have any guys who are going to get bent out of shape if I put them in a bad spot? I'm blind to most of the team and I don't want to end up shipping someone out that thought they were 7th and end up 10th.

Coach Ford, I'm working on finishing things up for the offseason, but I have a few questions.

How many minutes were our starters playing last season? I want to make sure I have the balance that you want going into the season. I signed quite a few rookies, as well, so I don't now how you feel would get them the best development.

At PF, I didn't know if we should slot in Thomas Smith or start with experience with Mario Norwood.

I love hearing that, Coach. I want us to win it and I want us to win it bad. Those 17 PDs from week 3 still ring in my ears. I'm pleased with the improvement of John Carr over recent weeks and do not feel like we will see a relapse, but I want to look at this from every angle. How has their team fared against the run this year? I'm wondering if AMC could have a huge game this week if they start swatting everything out of the sky like week 3.

Talk us through your Week 12 Game, What did you like, what didn't you like?

Big victory today against a perennial powerhouse in front of our great home fans. We fought hard today against a great franchise and came out the victors. We played effective and efficient football. Moved the ball on offense and kept them out of end zone. I couldn't be more proud of our team effort this week.

My hat is off to David Wilson, Mr. Devastation World himself, who had a huge game and was recognized as DPOTW. Very well deserved.

I'd like to give a big thank you to our sponsors Best Buy and ADIDAS. We have the best technology at our fingertips and the best equipment to suit up in. They have been very good to us and I'm grateful for that.

Talk about anything interesting you around the league...

My personal opinion is that the North East Division in the Eastern Conference is the toughest division in pro football anywhere. We have 5 teams that are all playoff caliber teams. Each win for the rest of the season is huge. There are some battles in the other conferences, don't get me wrong, but the North East is big time. If Cleveland goes on a skid, they could end up either on the outside of the playoffs or as a 4 seed in the wild card. Michigan going on a tear could land them either atop the division or in a high seed. It's exciting football for sure.

Talk about your game this upcoming week, what do you need to do to win?

We have Milwaukee coming to town this week. Our season went off the tracks around the time we played them. They had a very hyped franchise debut and their players came out to play. They are officially out of the hunt for a playoff spot...and that makes them a very dangerous team. Now they get to hang their hat on each and every game in hopes of ruining someone else's playoff aspirations. We will be giving them 100% St. Paul Lynx football.

I believe if we keep playing how we've been playing, as a team, then we can walk away with a victory. This past week we sacked Rizzo 7 times. We had 5 tackles for loss. Playing play disruptive and chaos inducing football on defense is a key for victory. On the offensive side we have so many guys who are contributing and contributing big. I love the team atmosphere we have. If we continue to play hard and make few mistakes I believe we will have a win.

Are there any more questions?
