The Charlotte Crows use the amnesty clause on (SS) Robert Dotson and place a 5th round tender ($3.5MM) on (SS) Michael Thurston.

Actually, while I'm pissing off agents, let Eli Harris know that I'm going to amnesty Robert Dotson. I tried to trade him but nobody wants a $16million SS, no matter how good he is, and I simply can't afford that contract without a cap raise. I'm sure he'll get paid in UFA.

I would commit money to any rescue attempt, but I would like hear where the money is going. I wouldn’t just want to throw it at someone and hope he finds him, I’d like to hear that we have a plan of action and that the company or person we end up paying has an idea of how to find him

So, as a lot of you have probably read, the commissioner and his friends and family (whoever was onboard the yacht) are missing. Coast guard is looking but only until conditions are deemed too dangerous.

The idea was kicked around by a few to help out their search efforts so that we can better locate everyone and make sure survivors are brought home safely.

Basically, we would be looking to bring in extra search and rescue to aid the USCG, probably reach out to Coach McAvoy to see if he has any contacts

Some of the ideas that would be looked into:
Bringing in extra search and rescue (maybe the TTTS) to aid the USCG (and in the event the USCG calls off their search, ours can keep going, possibly with guidance from the USCG), reaching out to Coach Redd McAvoy to see if he has any contacts that could help us, bring in supplies to keep search crews fed. We won't be going rogue, we will be working in conjunction with the USCG.

Just like last time, a dollar amount for our involvement has not been mentioned.

We currently have the $3 million in the GM Emergency Fund to use towards this. Additional donations are welcome but of course not required.

All of the money that is donated will go to the EMERGENCY GM FUND and used for this endeavor. If, after everything occurs, there is money left over, it can either be redistributed to those that donated again, or left in the emergency fund for future occurrences.

Is this something we should be involved in?
Maybe not. But if we don't do something and should have, could be bad news. If we do something and it's not needed, we waste some bonus money. If we do and it helps, great.

NOTE: We don't need this thread to become a tear down of this idea. This is basically letting you know my intent to help in this situation. If you have opinions on it, bring them to me privately via PM or DM on discord. If the idea works and makes sense, I will bring it here to everyone.

I will likely set a deadline for donations to help.

Harley, just wanted to let you know I've not been in the pub all this time. I've just not had any interest in signing our RFA players and I've been waiting to poach the right players on franchise tags or qualifying offers. Nothing doing there either but I've managed to do some trades.

Anyway, while things are quiet why don't you tell me a little about yourself. Are you enjoying working in the HIFL?

We could really use Poe to sign to shore up the OLine. Jordan signed his tender so that's a plus. Good thing we're have room in the budget. It's a little thin but having those draft picks, will definitely help us more than others.

I saw the news earlier.. Has there been any new word on what's going on in the Valerie and the Commissioner's Yacht situation?
