Excellent.  I shall send the finalized agreement to the league office as soon as possible.  If there is nothing further Coach, I thank you for your time.

Blue, I am pleased to report that not only have we signed our offensive and defensive coordinators in Steve Brigham and Bill Crowder, respectively, but we have also signed Coach Action to a contract extension as well.  With all that taken care of is there anything else that needs to be done at this time?

I thoroughly enjoy shrimp, especially shrimp alfredo.  It happens to be one of my favorites.  If you would like to share other ways in which to cook shrimp, you are more than welcome to do so.

There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich...

Interesting.  I was unaware there were so many ways to cook shrimp.  I will attempt to try some of those suggestions in the future.  Thank you.

Hello Miss Reya, Mongo has asked me to inform you that we have a $8MM budget for scouting this off-season, this is all covered by him and will not affect our budget for the rest of the season.  Please remember this scouting money is for both the college draft and free agents, plan wisely.  If you need a refresher on how much scouting costs, it is on page 9 of your GM handbook... http://espnsportssims.net/index.php?topic=1155.msg28962#msg28962

Please be advised, scouting trips are unavailable due to the college season being over.

We are required to attend the combine before we can do any interviews or workouts after the combine, if you have any questions please feel free to ask, I'll be in the kitchen cookin' up some shrimps

GM Reya, along with her assistant and friend Paxar return from the combine.

I can't believe what happened at the combine!  You'd think that in the year 2014 that powerful men would be evolved enough not to hire 'Magic' Mike Delight, male stripper extraordinaire, to sexually harass the only female GM in the HIFL but I guess not.  No respect, man.  No respect...we'll show them though.  They'll see.

Paxar shakes her fist furiously as Reya simply sighs and shakes her head in dismay.

What transpired was disheartening, but not all that surprising.  That is why I fortunately inquired into procuring a private suite to view the combine in case such events happened to arise.  However, those were simply the actions of a few and not of the whole.  There are several General Managers in this league that are honorable men.  In any case, I feel that all in all the combine was productive and I am prepared for the upcoming draft.  I wonder what with so many different ways to cook shrimp if Blue is still in the kitchen...

A NOTE ARRIVES

Quote
Dear GM Reya Serra Janason,

I feel compelled to write this letter because I know what it's like to break into the boys club that is known as general managing a professional organization.  I've seen my fair share of ridicule thrown my way for the color of my skin.  It hurts.  It hurts a lot.  And when you think you've done enough in a league to earn their respect it never quite seems enough.  I've even dealt with agents that found it a point to use my heritage as a laughing point as if we had some sort of friendship established that this was okay.

I understand your friend Paxar wanting to protect you.  Having a friend like that will be more important than you may even know.  Let her know that I did not take it personal.  Had my sister been in the same situation I fear she would have done much worse.

Understand that in me you have a friend.  A confidant but also a competitor.  I wish you look ... but not too much luck.

There is no need to be worried.  As we do not have our first pick in this draft until the tail end of the second round I was, with the permission of the commissioner, going to wait until the end of the first to see what happens and put together a draft board.  However, as I was presented with a simpler option in regards to the draft board itself, I have since submitted one to the league office and will be keeping it updated throughout the draft as much as possible.

Reya sees that a note has been delivered and reads it to herself.

It would appear that I am not the only General Manager that has received mistreatment as a result of being different from the others.  Blue, if possible, could you please send word to GM Pancho that I received his message, that I thank him for his kind words, and that I wish him well this upcoming season?

Well, as you said before we have MVPs at both the running back and quarterback positions and we have quality starters at almost all of the positions but I would like to discuss our offensive and defensive lines.  Which of them played on the right and which on the left last season?

Sowell and Brewster where on our left side of the offensive line.

Our defense played all over the place.

So neither of our defensive ends had a preference for either the right or the left side?

Nope, Gonzo has 15 sacks in the past two years, Hagan has 13... both can get to the QB from either side.

Peterson and Ledoux are best as ILB's in my opinion but they are happy anywhere... We don't have dominant pass rushers at LB, but we have consistent hard workers..

Let's close this round out in fashion baby, 4 years 3.5MM, no PR needed.

Now before you start, let me introduce myself.  I'm Eli Harris.  I don't play games, I don't do bidding wars, I simply give our asking price and I will hear one counter offer. I have a lot of work to do around the league today, so let's get this done.

We are looking for 2 years 2MM.

I think we need to look to Free Agency for the position we have ranked at #1, their isn't a good Nighthawk at that position in this draft anymore.
