Well, with Eugene nursing his bathroom injury, do you want to just pass the punting duties over to Skipper, or are you thinking of signing a replacement?

Can Skipper handle both duties? if he can, don't see a need to add another player if it just going to be a few weeks that Eugene on the sideline. SO I am feeling we pass it off to Skipper until Eugene heals.  your thoughts Coach, can he handle it?

I'm not sure, I don't think its a drastic addition to his work load, but I can't say for certain.  Not many punters have been injured in HIFL history.

true, this is an unusual thing that happening. I say let hand the punting duties to Skipper, and see if he can handle the workload.  If it becomes a problem for him. we can look to add a player next week.

Ok, our o-line ,  how did it hold up, should we make a change to move castle into the center and kick Watts over to guard or stick with the line up we got at the moment.

I think considering we didn't give up a ton of sacks, and we ran for about 5 yards per carry, we can sustain with what we have right now.  If that starts to slide the other way, then we make a move, but for now they are getting the job done as it is.

Sounds good to me, we will keep an eye on the situation, but we keep the line intact for now.  Well, that looks like everything that we need to discuss today.  I think we are good to go with all the questions this week let lock in and get our first win against Oakland

Rotation - Mostly Starters

Tempo- Slow

Coaches Set Offensive Depth Chart
(have Skipper handle punting duties for this week game )

Run/Pass Ratio= 60/40

Coaches Set Defensive Depth Chart

Blitz - 70%

Lock In

1. Talk us through this week's game. What did you like, what do you want to see improved?

I like the improvement of the offense, you can see them getting better and better, it going to take some time, but the improvement is there, it going to take some time, but I like the upswing. I would like to improve on our 3 down conversion, we need to stay on the field longer and give the defense some rest. also outstanding play by the defense. Jason Mason with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery. Also a shout out to Brent Skipper, who did an awesome job filling in for our injured punter Eugene Harris. who we all wish for a speedy recovery. Skipper step in and we did not miss a beat.

2. Through two games this season, who's surprising you for the better, and for the worst?

That hard to say. I really don't see a bad performance by anyone on the team in the first two games, the rookies are playing great and veterans are looking good. Just two hard-fought games that we were in close to win, just a few lucky breaks that if they have gone our way. We would have  won those games

3. Which one-part of your team do you believe is only going to get better going forward?

Our passing game, We got a great wide receivers corps and Wright going to get a chance to show off his skills. I already see the improvement after two games.

4. Talk about your news story this week.

Hodge is a passionate player and he wants to win. So he offers what feels that we need to win and that Wright stepping up and getting better. I understand why he said it. I would have liked him to have handled it better... But the underline factor is he wants Wright to get better and I feel that Wright is going to.

5. Talk about at least two other news stories this week.

I feel bad for Nutt ,  I understand wanting to live up your youth, you got money, you got fame, but it not going to last long is you get injured going out to the club. Parting is fine, but he needs to cut it back before something really bad happens.

Nothing much that can be said, Portland with the upset of the year. It was a great game. My hats off to them. there a young team that put the league on notice.

5. Talk to us about your matchup this week, how do you build on last weeks success or rebound from defeat

We got Tombstone, who is coming off a tough loss to Tulsa, There a passing team, We are going to get in there and attack the QB and disturb that passing game. I see ourselves bouncing back and getting the win, with a ground and pound offense. We get in there and run it down there throats for the win.

It was good to see Skip can handle punting if needed, and overall I thought we played a better game, especially considering our in-state rivals have such a strong defensive line.

Very true , Overall much improvement. Know we got Tombstone, We got ran over by Tulsa. We stick to our strength on this one run the ball at them. If Tulsa can run on them , we should not have a problem running wild on them.  Also we keep Eugene sideline for one more game , With Skipper showing he got the skills we can afford to let Harris come back at full strength

Also how is Hodge comments playing in the room , Is there some brewing tension between the two?

I'm not sure, but I don't think Hodge was wrong.. He didn't say he was trash, he didn't say he needed to be benched. Just that he needed to be better.

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?

Great game. Great win.  I love the great way our passing and running game came together.  it was a hard fought game, but we can together as a team and won. The defense pitch a shutout in the 4th quarter. There were several drops in the game, but that nothing that can't work out during practice

2. How do you feel about the emergence of the Alliance of American Football and the XFL?

The more the merrier, I already see what going to happen, they're going to do well, there best players will come over to us eventually looking for a bigger payday. it happens before and it going to happen again

3. Talk about something going on around the league this season that has interested you in one way or another.

the poor play of RC has me interested, I know it early in the season, but its something to keep an eye on. How can the defending champions start so slow

4. Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the key to victory?

We got Tulsa next, there a solid team, their strength in there passing game, but I think we need to control the ball on offense and disturb the passing game, getting sacks and harassing the QB and this going to get us the win

Not to sound too cynical, but Tulsa is dead last in passing yards, their strength is the run, where Christopher Allen has them ranked 5th in the league at 171 yards per game.
..The bright is that we rank #1 in run defense, only allowing 87 yards per game.

..Meanwhile, we are 16th in rushing, 19th in passing and Tulsa is 2nd against the run at 90 yards per game, and 20th vs the pass (we are 23rd vs the pass).

so your suggesting we focus on the stopping their run game against Tulsa and force them to beat us with passing and work a passing game more on offense because there weakness to the passing game.  sounds like we need to modify the game plan this game

Not sounding cynical to me coach, you sound like a coach trying to fill in his dumb ass gm about the stats that are out there.

sounds good to me, we go to a pass-oriented attack this game, take advantage of their weakness. On defense we stack the line, stop Allen and force their young QB to win it. No problem with putting that game plan in.

ok, Coach, it would same like the players would like me to talk to them more. I got no problem with that. It was great talking to you let me meet with a few players before we lock in for the week. I might talk to you before also. but it was great talking to you. thank you for your time

Can I please speak to Jonathan Wright, please

Jonathan Wright, that was a great game you had against Tombstone, You show a great determination to lead us back to the lead after we were down at halftime. How are you feeling after such a great performance last week?

Good to hear, Going to let you know the game plan this week is going to be unleashing our passing attack on Tulsa. We're going to be throwing the ball a lot to capitalize on the weakness of the Tulsa defense in stopping the pass. I wanted to give you heads up. on that. You think you can handle that defense?

Coach, great job with the defense, we step up and shut them down in the 4th quarter to secure that comeback win. We got Tulsa next, their strength is in the run game and that is where we excel in stopping the run. So we are going to focus on stopping the run and force Tulsa young QB to try to beat us with his arm. What are your thoughts on this gameplan?

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?

Well, we won the game, that went right, We unleash the passing game on Tulsa and it came through in a big way. The Defense set up again in the Fourth Quarter and shut down Tulsa offense. I don't have any complaints from the team this week on the game performance

2. Which of your division rivals has surprised you the most so far this season?

San Antonio Knights ... did not think they would be 4-0 at this point

3. With where you sit in the standings, do you feel it is a true reflection of your team? Where do you feel you should stand, and who on your team is most responsible for your current standing?

I do not think is a true reflection of this team talent, I feel we are a better team than our record states and I take full responsibly as GM for where we are now. It is my job to get the best out of the team.  I drop the ball the first two weeks.

4. What has been the biggest challenge for your team so far this season, and who would you say was your teams' most improved?

The biggest challenge is learning to work together, this is a talented team on both offense and defense and chemistry does not just come together overnight, it takes time and hard work and this team had done the work and you can see it starting to come together as the season moves on. As for the most improved, that hard to say, This team same to be improving every week in every facet of the game. It hard to single out just one player, because every player on this team work hard and does their job and you can see the team get better every week because of it

5. Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the toughest thing to prepare for this week?

San Antonio Knights are the game this week.  The got a top-notch aerial attack and damn good o-line, So we got our work cut out for ourselves getting into the backfield and getting some hits on their QB. But I have faith in out front 7 and I feel they can do it. I am not concern about our secondary, I feel they are best in this league and they will be able to match the wide receivers of the Knights

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?

It was a hard fought game, we match SA blow for blow, like a heavyweight boxing match. SA was able to pull it out in the 4th quarter. Not mad at the team they play hard and a couple of breaks going our way we could have won the game. Great Job by the offense Wright and Hodge are starting to become a great Duo in this league I love the work they have done and they are getting better and better every week

3. How do you evaluate your coaching staff, so far this year?

Grade A, They have done a great job so far, I have no problem with them and the work they have done with the team so far. I feel they are the best collection of coaches in the league.

4. What do you expect the Commissioner to talk about this week when he makes his highly anticipated announcement?

The wealth of new blood coming into the league, also a something that will change the league moving forward. Our Commissioner is working hard to make this the best sports league in the business. So I just excited to hear what he has to say

5. Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the key to victory?

Lincoln this week.  Gm Wong team, as you know I work with Gm wong for little here and he put together a decent team over there at Lincoln. We are going to work on defense to shut down there passing attach and grind this game to halt. I feel my defense is stronger and we will be able to match them on offense. This another game that going to be hard fought, but we are going to pull it out in the end
