See you at camp."

"A promise is a promise, Elsa. I'm done for the season. Thanks for all your work and everything you do to make my life easier. Best secretary around. Maybe someone should see to it that there's an award given out for that.

Anyway. Take care, Elsa. See you again when the off season really kicks off."

Yo, welcome back boss-man.

Anyways, we have 23 open roster spots with mandatory fills needed at Wide Receiver.  We don't HAVE to have kickers, but if you want them remember we dont have a kicker or a punter, bruh.

We have a full coaching staff and our misc expenses are 5MM in salary for last seasons cap penalty and in the bonus we're paying 3.25MM to Richard McKenzie, or something like that.

We have 20.35MM available in salary and 3.25MM available in Bonus.

If you have any questions we can work on things and make sure we're on the same page.    If you have a google sheet I will gladly copy my information to a new tab so you can compare on your own.

"Thanks Elsa. A little bit of time away was exactly what I needed. Love the sunglasses. Are those new?

Anyway, I know the restricted free agency period is coming to a close and I've made a couple of offers to our own guys already but those didn't go anywhere. I guess what I really want to know is if anyone has been poking around either of our coordinators. I'd be stunned if after a 15-1 season filled with quarterback injuries that someone wasn't looking at Coach Tomlin for a head coaching position."

I've had to send a few people the numbers for our coordinators, I know a lot of PFL expansion teams have talked to me about Coach Svech.. I tried to lie and say he drank a lot of cheap vodka on the job, but I dont think they believed me.

Hello GM Eli, Kate at the league office here to inform you that your trade with Dallas had an issue.

Dallas did not own the 4th round draft pick for Season 16 from the DC Cobras, therefor they have been fined and you are owed some form of compensation.  Please work with GM Strike to settle this matter in a timely fashion.

I hope you are enjoying the regime change in the leagues administration."

“I'm glad to hear it, Kate. Please excuse me. I just got notice that one of my coaches has taken a head coaching job so it appears I've got work to do. Have a lovely day"

-----

"Elsa, pass along my well wishes to Coach Svech would you please. And then lets get Jonathan McFadden on the phone."

-----

"Jonathan, it's Eli with the St. Paul Lynx. I'm a bit unexpectedly in need of a new defensive coordinator and, having done my research, you seem to have the tools that I'm looking for in a Coach that is going to pick up where Rod Svechnikov left off.

Could you go into a little more detail about your own personal play calling and defense. I feel Jerry Worthington has the potential to put up TWII type numbers but it really hasn't been asked of him yet. Would your defense lean on the defensive line heavily or are you more reliant on the backfield?"

Honestly GM Eli, I am flexible enough to stylize my playcalling to fit the players on the roster vs. shoehorning a team into a playbook, if you know what I mean.

I've grown up watching film of the greats, learning from my family as they build championship teams, so I know that when you have a team with a talent like Jerry Worthington, you have to design plays that get him to the football, and I believe I could do that.

“I'll tell you what, Scott. I know he was drafted here back in Season 6 and I'm a big fan of seeing guys come back home where they got their break into the league. So even though it's a bit more than I had wanted to spend at this point in free agency, I'll take that deal.

And while I've got you on the line, would you accept a UDFA minimum contract of 1 year, 350K for WR Mark Watson?

PR CAMPAIGNS  (OPTIONAL)

Max Ramos - “Groundbreaker” - 1MM
One season ago PUMA was looking for the right man to be their ambassador as the company sought to make inways into the world of professional football and, more specifically, the High Impact Football League. This season, with that ambassador in place and in partnership with him, PUMA and Max Ramos look to mimic his groundbreaking, record breaking season with a new line of sports wear in gear dubbed exactly that. Groundbreaker.

For the more serious athlete, a Lynx themed line of cleats with the letters “M2K” emblazoned on the side with numbers 2032 underneath, representative of the number of yards receiving Max attained one year earlier.

For the collector, the first five hundred pairs of these cleats sold will be autographed by Max himself.

For the casual fan a line of jersey’s that can be worn to games, and other athletic wear like training tee’s, jogging pants, and hoodies all with the same “M2K, 2032” groundbreaker labeling on them.

As part of this campaign Max will graciously focus as the central advertising figure as together, he and PUMA break ground on building their brands in the pro football world.

MUSICAL LICENSES (GM MUST COMPLETE THIS TASK)

1. “INDUSTRY BABY” by Lil Nas X ft. Jack Harlow - https://youtu.be/17MJ-HLOTgs
Played during team introductions as the team comes onto the field.

2. “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor - https://youtu.be/btPJPFnesV4
Played at the start of the 4th quarter to get the energy and volume of the crowd amped up once again, and to give the Lynx players that one last burst of adrenaline they need to put their opponents away.

"Welcome to Season 15 everyone. A lot has happened since we last spoke so lets get right to your questions and skip the small talk."

Welcome back, lets talk off-season.  What was your off-season like, what was your biggest addition to your team, and who is someone you wish you didn't lose?

"First of all, thank you. It is good to be back. The off season always feels stressful when you're in my shoes, you know? From discussions about the salary cap, to trying to make sure you're making the right personnel moves. From an additions stand point I think that the combination of Al Beard and Isaiah Simmons, from a rival no less, is a big deal for us. We had to give up a lot to get them here but we're thrilled with what they bring to the table. As for losses, well the loss of a guy like Coach Svech is going to be felt, there's no question about it. Someone as experienced and intelligent as he is.. the fact that he wasn't already a head coach in the league is a shame. But I'm thrilled that we were able to replace him with one of the brightest young minds in the league. We've got faith in Jonathan to have this defensive unit pick up where it left off last season."

Take us back to Draft Day, what lead to you taking the player you took with your first pick?

"We saw Thomas Pak as a player that has the potential to be  not just be a game changing defensive end, but a game breaking defensive end the way that guys like Waylon Hagan and Timothy Cobbs have been. It's not often you come across players of that caliber and with that potential outside of the top ten. For us? It was a no brainer and he's got the opportunity to watch and learn behind some really talented ends like David Lee and Isaiah Simmons, and have a veteran like Duane Gore there to hopefully help teach him some of the nuances of his position as well."

Coming out of Training Camp who is the player you wish you would have seen on your "most improved list" that you didn't see?

"You guys are going right for the hard hitting questions, huh? You know there's probably a couple of guys that we would have loved to have seen take that next step. I think a guy like Trey Dean has all the tools in the world to be the best strong safety in the league and we've given him some extra minicamp reps the last couple of off-seasons to try and get him there. It hasn't quite clicked yet but I still have faith that, with time and patience, everything is going to fall into place and he's going to take that leap from being a really good player, to a potentially hall of fame caliber player."

If you were to improve one position on your team with a trade before the season starts, what position do you target, and are you looking to trade picks or players to get a deal done?

"That's tough, you know? Because really we're bringing back most of the guys that made up a 15-1 squad a season ago so you don't necessarily want to tinker too much. I think another high caliber player in our DB room, specifically at cornerback, would go a long way to ease any concerns there might be about depth and experience. Plus, competition breeds success and I think a little extra push would be beneficial for our guys."

How many wins should your fan base expect this year, realistically what should fans expect to see?

"15-1 is a hard task to replicate. Are we capable of it? Sure, but how many times in this league have you seen even the best teams post a record like that? It's not an every year occurrence. But I do think fans can, and should, realistically expect somewhere in the ten to twelve wins range and another division championship. This is a playoff contender, and an impact bowl contender, and that's the standard that we're going to carry every single day. We've taken all the steps in the right direction since I've been here. Coming off of a 1-15 season the year before I came here, we improved our record in Season 12 and brought home three wins. We narrowly missed the playoffs in Season 13. Last year we posted the best regular season record in football and brought playoff football back to the city of St. Paul. This year? It's about the next step. It's about winning playoff games and ultimately, winning the Impact Bowl. So that's where we've got our sights set."
