Digger, let's be real here. The only thing people are begging you to do is to stop the bad self-marketing.

"Hello mr adores. I hope I am not too late but I wish to apply for this job as well. I understand that your an awfully busy man, I'd gladly schedule tee time so we can discuss this in a more quiet place if you desire.

Just a quick breakdown on what I'll strive for. Drama free, family friendly enviorment. I want to build an exciting team that consistantly wins. Image is important to me.

An aggressive, fast paced pressure play style with a lean slightly to rushing on offensive over passing.

Mr. Adores,

I'd love to debate all day long, but I've had enough...

I applied in Oakland due to nostalgia with the Oakland team in another league. I was beaten out in a close decision. It happens.

I tried Tombstone, my hometown. I jumped into the race too late and couldn't overtake their other applicant. It happens.

I tried New Jersey, but one of my comments about one person somehow turned into a generalization of foreigners. I have to admit this one pissed me off...

Now I'm here. I would have come earlier, but I thought TJ was taking the job. But at this time I'm drained. This process is over for me...

However, if you want to talk football (not top 10 lists but real questions about strategy and roster building) I am ready to talk, but I'm removing myself from this circus unless you want to talk shop.

If you are looking for a motivated General Manager, look no further. Each job that passed me by added a level of motivation that has made me hungrier to get a HIFL job than any other job I've had or tried to get. I'm ready to not only defeat every team that passed me but every other team as well. If you want a worker who will build your team into a winner, then we should have a serious discussion about football and this franchise.

I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you, away from the madness this has descended into...

GM Gravedigger.

Okay this is becoming a circus. Do you want to make money and win a title or do you want this madness to continue? If you want to talk football let's talk football. This team needs an offensive line and the defense need an identity. This team can beat Alabama. Like I said Bama slammed the for in my face and I want to make them pay. Here is my best chance of doing that. So let's talk turkey and get this team ready to destroy Gomer Pyle and the Nighthawks this season. Digger is motivated but so am I. I'm motivated to prove everyone wrong and win a title. I think I can do that here and make you a lot of money in the process.

GM Gravedigger, your attitude about making the teams who turned you down pay showed me a spark, a fire that I was hoping to see.  You may have already rubbed me wrong from the start, but I think you give this team the best chance at success and stability.  I am intent on making money, so if you think you can make that happen, the job is yours...

Ah well you know, I was a championship winning coach in my hay-day.  Got pretty famous for it too!  Lots of endorsements, which by the way... if you ever get athletes foot... tough actin' Tinactin knocks it out, BOOM!

But anyways, I inspire players to be their best, offense or defense.  I like to sit back and play good coverage and let the d-line do their work, but I also have a great ability to scout talent.

Hi! You've reached the voicemail of Harry Bryce, Offensive Coordinator of the Long Beach Mermen, sorry I can't take your call right now, but if you leave your name, number, and a brief message I'll be happy to return your call, unless this is about a coaching job, in which case you are the 9th or 10th person to ask since I took the job in Long Beach...

Thanks, bye.

22 years as a pro QB, some say I'm one of the best of all time... I retired a few years ago, but went back, just couldn't stay away. I'm a passer man, I believe in slingin' the ball around, I like a 30/70 run-pass split myself.

I've actually agreed in principal to a deal with Tombstone, but they haven't finalized the paperwork yet.
They offered me 3 for 3...

My first 8 years in football were in Canada, but I was good there... I came to HIFL in Season 1 and was drafted in the 6th round of expansion by DC. 16 game starter in that year, I had 69 tackles 3 sacks 4 INTs 11 pass break ups and 1 Touchdown.  After that season, I just didn't feel like I had the speed to play anymore, so I retired and moved back to Utah to coach at Southern Utah, been there ever since..

I've actually worked in 3-4 and 4-3 schemes in the past, I believe my style works in any set..

Sir, the only remaining free agent defensive coaches are Styles, Peace, Thought, Swope, and Holyfield...

Back in Season 1 I was drafted in the 18th round of expansion.  I was the starting SS for Orlando for Season 1. I played all 16 games, made 50 tackles and had 1 sack and 1 INT for a TD... The next season I was cut, signed by Lincoln and cut again before the season started... never played again.  Been coaching as a coordinator for Siena ever since. I run a 4-3 that plays conservative coverage instead of blitzing.

I think you're a good fit with Coach McFadden, but I have a few more calls to make. You're at the top of the list right now, coach.

Well, I coached defense for 15 years for 8 different teams in college and the pros. I've had my ups and downs, but I coach a 4-3 system that blitz's less than 50% of the time. I am a big believer in Linebackers who can intercept the QB during zone coverage.

I have a good feeling about you, Coach Thought. I'd like to offer you the job.

How's a 3 year, 3 million deal sound?

You got a deal.

GM Gravedigger, Mr. Adores has asked me to inform you that we have a $10MM budget for scouting this off-season, this is all covered by him and will not affect our budget for the rest of the season.  Please remember this scouting money is for both the college draft and free agents, plan wisely.  If you need a refresher on how much scouting costs, it is on page 9 of your GM handbook... http://espnsportssims.net/index.php?topic=1155.msg28962#msg28962

Please be advised, scouting trips are unavailable due to the college season being over.

We are required to attend the combine before we can do any interviews or workouts after the combine, if you have any questions please feel free to ask, I'll be at my desk.

YOUR COACHING STAFF STANDS BY IN ANTICIPATION OF THE DRAFT.  THEY FEEL WORRIED WHEN THEY SEE YOUR DRAFT BOARD IS COMPLETELY EMPTY
