You can move him, I don't care... It's just funny that this is what started all this bullshit for you and now you're going back to him being a wide receiver... we prefer playing WR anyways, it's just a riot!

You're right, to much trouble started over this, my smooth off season went to hell when I messed this up with you. So, I'll keep him where he is unless I have no more options.

Darlene, can you get me Gregory Neal, thank you

---

Neal, glad to see you. You have been a gamer since day 1, So I don't want any confusion about playing time. I want you and Rose on the field at the same time. So I am offering, if you are willing to move to CB, you'll be on the field with Alfred, Theodore and Sam. Imagine what you all can do. What do you say?

Darlene can you get me CB Chris Robinson, thanks

------

Chris, as you know we are loaded at CB and I know playing time will become an issue. This benefits you and the team to get you as much playing time as possible so I'm suggesting a move to FS. This takes you from 5th in the CB depth chart to 2nd in the free safety depth chart. This will help the team and this will also let you build on your resume that you can use when you become a free agent.

HA, that means about as much to me and the boys as those emails telling me a dead guy in Zaire left me 35MM and if I send him my social security number, DOB, and $5,000.00 I can claim it.

Later.

Hows everyone doing tonight? Let me ask a question, is anyone here happier than this guy to get the off-season over with? (Eddie smirks and takes a deep breath). Look, I hear a lot of rumblings once again about how bad things are. You guys have a knee jerk reaction to things. I have already seen the news, people saying our moral is low and our defense is worst than last year. Let me clear some things up. If moral is low its because of a few timing blunders on my part. There is a thin line between great and gruesome. I seem to live on that line.  There are a few in the locker room who feel a little unsafe, are worried about their future and the future of the organization as a whole. I understand, but everyone in that locker room should know I am committed to each one of them. A few players have departed in which I did not intend to depart with but things happen. In a perfect world I never send a fax 5 minutes late, Im not fined and then have to make moves. But that only happens because I am always trying to do the very best that I can for ownership, the fans and most importantly the coaches. I am dedicated to team and at times my passion for success sometimes gets in the way of taking things slow, but in this league if you are slow to move you get left behind. Look, I absolutely guarantee no one else will be moved. So everyone can take a breath.

Now lets clear the air, I hear some say we are a worst defense than last year.  Im hard pressed to see when you add Schumacher, Glass, Maggard and Wright, how did we get worst. Another knee jerk reaction to what I think was a pretty awesome off season. Our line backing core which was one of the best young cores in the league stood together. I truly believe in the talent of our strong safeties. Our offense got better when we acquired Montes and Williams to strengthen our running game. I signed Caron who already has a history with coach Bryce and looked amazing in the preseason and traded for Stern. Our Wide receiving core got better. Through the draft we got better by adding Greene and Gallegos. So, when I hear words like whirl wind off season, demoralizing, catastrophic I wonder why is everyone panicking. Despite the naysayers, and there will always be naysayers I believe we are still one of the most talented teams in this league. We still have an unbelievable coaching staff that I know will get these guys ready to play. If we get a few wins early, all the low moral will change. Winning cures all. All we have to do is go out there and win. Im sure I believe in my coaches right now more that they believe in me and I created that, Ill own it. But everything I do is so that Orlando Stampede can be the best.

Any questions?

Gregory Neal says you flat out lied to him.  Says you offered him a starting job with Glass and Schumacher if he changed positions, and then traded him out of town before he could even leave the room...

Do you worry about players not trusting you?

I won't go to much into depth but my intentions were never to trade him.  I did tell him he would be out there with those men because again, I never intended on trading him, he was a victim of a cap situation I created. Was my timing bad? YES. Was there a lack of communication on my part? YES, and I regret how that entire situation played out. I have always been straight up with everyone, this Neal situation is the one blemish on my record of honesty with my players.

As far as "DO I worry about players not trusting me" Absolutely, last year those guys came together and and showed this league what a team looks like. Those guys in the back, on this team, if you are wearing a green and yellow Jersey, you are my family. Sometimes in a family things happen and it takes time to heal. I regret how the ending of the off season went, I truly do. The guys back there are one hell of a team and it makes me regretful of some things I did that created this mistrust. I hope in time we can get passed it and I hope they know I have their backs and the teams best interest at hand at all times. To the fans of Orlando, Mr. Adores and the coaches on this staff, I deeply apologize for what has transpired.

A piece of advice for all the GM's out there, "If you got a good thing going, shut off your phones, turn off your computers and go to bed!

Any more questions?

We definitely will coach Sanders, so when it comes to our offense, what positives did you take away from preseason and what should we be concerned about?

The biggest concern is that the entire team is ready to lynch you in the damned street sonny.  Other than that though?  I thought Montes struggled early in our system, but we have great players on offense for Aquino to get the ball to.

I was looking at these preseason games. RB Williams seems to have some legs, do you think he should be our 3rd down back and have Brandt the goal line or should Brandt be our goal line and Montes and Williams be our thunder and lightning?

We can't set a 3rd down back, unless we run an exclusive formation on 3rd down only... but anyway, I don't care much for the run game, it's a passing world and RB's just get in the way of it..

Coach, I know our defense has been changed since your last report, so, when you see Rose, Glass and Schu on that field who do you see as the next best talent with them, preferably at that SS position; Flemming, Maggard or Daniels. we can play either one at that position to see how they do before even attempting to convert any of them.

Hmm, not really sure. We've never tried any of the corners as safeties so it's hard to say, I don't think they can tackle well enough to play safety, so I'd say Daniels is the best bet.

I'll get all my things together at my end and lock in within the next 24 hours if nothing else comes up, do I have any messages, does anyone want to talk to me before the season gets on it's way?

OK, were do I start, look. I'm a little surprised at this outcome. What I thought we were the best at got exposed this week. Our high powered offense got shut down for ten points and we gave up 30 points which included three TD's by air and a 185 yards on the ground.

(looks around and takes a deep breath)

Truth is, you all know the stats, you saw one team get dominated by the next I saw a team who was uneasy and I blame myself. We had an amazing preseason. Our coaches were in the drivers seat ready to roll and I made 1 to many moves and fractured the chemistry of this team early on. Imagine going out there in two-a-days near a man you are now calling your brother and you look and the man you thought was your captain is now shipped out right before the season. Not easy, I see 185 yards on the ground from a hole I created. You know when the team wins they get the credit and when we lose I'll be more than happy to take the blame. And this loss is on me. I just hope we can move past this this week. I will name a new defensive captain and defensive front seven captain. I wanted to see who would step up in the permanent absence of Barclay. Don't get me wrong, I saw some good things, our special teams looked fantastic. Wright, Frank and Rose looked great. Glass got his first pick of the season. Cochran started where he left off with a sack. There was some good and hopefully we can build off that. Once again our coaches did an amazing job. Coach Bryce did what he could, it's not easy to motivate 39 men at one shot and he does a great job really settling them down. I hope we can come together, for our fans and our coaches.

Any Questions?

Rumors continue to intensify as word leaks out that the wedge between the team and Coach Harry Bryce is getting deeper and deeper, are you concerned, or are these rumors untrue?

I can't speak for Coach Bryce but I can tell you he is as passionate about this team and this game than I have ever seen even if he is peeved at me. I would be peeved at me also if my GM let me go through the preseason and then took away my best pass rusher. I know some of the players aren't happy with me after this past preseason. It's something we are going to have to get over or we will go under. Last season we came together under some strenuous circumstances. Though these circumstances are different they are still a hurdle we can clear together. As far as rumors circulating about Coach Bryce and the players, why would any of the players be angry at him?. There is no reason for them to be upset at him or him at them. Let them all focus on being pissed at me at least they are pissed at me together. I can take that and I'll accept it as long as they come to an agreement that I'm the reason everyone is angry. Now we need to go put these last three weeks to rest and start playing the type of football I know we can play. Like I said, this week I will name two new captains. Now, we are all men and we have to move forward if we want to make this a successful season.

Any more questions?

Any truth to the rumor that you are considering resigning your position due to the schism in the locker room?

I am absolutely, not resigning!. Where you getting those rumors? I haven't heard them. Let me tell you guys something, those guys out there who played with this team last year know I only want the best for this team. Everything I do is to better this team. So now it's time to channel that determination, fortitude, fearlessness and tenacity they had last year and start playing at the level I know these men can play. It's time to start looking ahead to doing what we do best, and that's shutting up the critics. Winning cures the sick, stops the rumors and strokes the ego, all we have to do is win.

Coach, let me know what you saw, what is the main problem the guys are having. I mean, they're playing the sport they love, they're getting paid, seriously...ok I made a few mistakes but they still have more than a hand full of pro bowlers and most of those guys got what they wanted in the off season, what is everyone in a fuss about? WHat is the problem?

I'm not your shrink son, I'm an offensive coordinator.  The team clearly has a problem and Coach Bryce is just going through the motions.  Something has got to give. His bad attitude is only making the players less focused.  The Head Coach is the motivator, if he's not motivating, the team is uninspired.

Thanks coach, That was actually very helpful. I'll get to work

-----

Darlene can you can me coach McKenzie

-----

Coach, I am going to name a defensive captain and front seven captain. From what you have seen, who can best serve the team as captain. I was thinking Glass as Defensive Captain and Frank as Front Seven Captain. Is there someone different who the team can benefit from their leadership.

Frank is a great leader, he'd be a great choice... and as good as Glass is as a player, he's not really a guy who wants to be the captain.   Sam Rose has the best leadership abilities on our entire defense believe it or not.  So if we don't mind naming a young captain, he'd be a great choice..
