Well right now we're at 2 FS, 2 SS... if we just want to not sign anyone else, we keep him at FS, he is just going to be starting at SS.

If we move him, we would need to sign a FS to take his roster spot.

Ah perfect. I'll have a quick chat with Albert to check his health after this.

Is there anything else before I have a quick chat with the others?

(If nothing - call for Albert Eaton)

The pain is temporary, but missing games is what hurts. I've started 101 straight games for this team, 108 if you count the playoffs.  I was just really expecting to help us have an amazing season.

You will still be a part of it my friend. Your commitment to the team is second to none and you will be missed. Where you can I want you to help nurture the other green safeties. We have a 1 year and a rookie there and any support you can provide will be essential to our success. Can you do that?

Ok man good to hear. Before you go I want to talk to everyone so join me as I address everyone

Boys. The season starts now... the preseason games were your chance to get the bad put of your system. Now the real test begins and we start with a top team in Seattle. Gm Jon will be a challenge as he's experienced but from the front to the back we are stacked with pure talent here. From the established to the rookies we have a stacked deck. Let's make it count boys. Do me proud and do the people of Lincoln proud and do the people of Nebraska proud.

Tempo: Very Fast
Coaches to sort all other tactics

S10 WEEK 1

1. Talk us through this week's game. What did you like, what do you want to see improved?
I saw a team leaking points against an unfancied Seattle team. I'm obviously concerned but the season is young and I will ring the changes and find the faults.

2. What did you make of your teams performance, despite the final outcome of the game?
High scoring. We put 30+ points away so that is something to take away from it.

3. Are there any major changes you see yourself making this week?
That will be discussed between me and the coaches in time.

4. Talk about at least two news stories from this week.
It's never nice to see a young man's career cut short in his prime so we will be sending our thoughts to Matthew Ackerman.
Alabama are having a power struggle already and that's not nice to see. Hopefully that will be nipped in the bud early

5. Talk to us about your match up this week.  Where do you see your opponent having an advantage? What is the key to victory
St Louis scored big last week so they will relish a trip to Lincoln. We just have to score bigger.

I think Seattle have improved immensely on last season. I have a lot of respect for Jon and he knows how to build a team. I know we were vying for similar players during the off season at times so I feel they will be a force all season.

Five drops really haunted us, and then late in the game they had a punt that pinned us at the 2... they blitzed hard, Rose sacked and forced Bloom to fumble, they ended up getting it back at the 1 instead of getting a safety, and it basically sank us in the final 2 minutes...

I have a couple of ideas of adding and subtracting from the playbook to help against the blitz, I expected a better performance running the ball to be quite honest, but again it is hard to hit the panic button after one week of real football.

He did great two-fold. He got us the interception and played well overall, but also provides the same veteran leadership we lost from Eaton's injury. I couldn't be happier with him.

I thought they did really well.  The drops came from Large (2), Cox (2), and Sauls (1).. so Garrett performed well, Jones was a great compliment to Jarvis, Savage didn't allow a sack, Olson and Falcon both had a missed tackle, but both performed well other than that.. no complaints from the young guys.

He started off strong, then after a drive died from a drop, he struggled with the first INT and a few passes into tight coverage that got broken up, but he wasn't playing bad, but late n the game we where forced to throw to try to move quickly down field and his stats got beat up because of it.

S10 WEEK 2

1. Talk us through this week's game. What did you like, what do you want to see improved?
We got the win we needed and we scored a hatful of points in doing so. I'd obviously have wanted a greater margin but this was a team who scored 30 the week before so I'm happy.

2. Through two games this season, who's surprising you for the better, and for the worst?
My rookies have really pleased me thus far. Melvin Savage has done his job to a high standard for a rookie as has everybody across the board.

3. Which one-part of your team do you believe is only going to get better going forward?
I think offensively we have a developing team who are growing into their positions. They are only going to improve.

4. Talk about your news story this week.
This is where I want to be frank. This industry prides itself on promoting and enhancing young talent and ensuring they maximise their potential. The biggest threat to a young player's potential stems from media outlets who want to jump on the first opportunity to crush a player's confidence. Carl Bloom is two games into this season and there is talk of second season slumps...

Are you kidding me? Are you actually kidding me? What do you think that does for a player's confidence? What do you think that does when a player has to read that they are being written off when the buzz of the new season hasn't died down yet. The media outlets fire malarkey out like this left, right and centre with no regards for the consequences or the work we must put in to make sure that my guys haven't got those seeds of negativity planted to stop him from moving onwards and upwards.

Carl Bloom is a talent. A supreme talent with the potential to be a future Hall of Famer. A shoe-in to be an icon of Lincoln Pride and he will do just that with the right support, guidance and training.

5. Talk about at least two other news stories this week.
Mr Jackson is standing up for his son and I get that, but his behaviour will have no benefit to his son. It will cost his son the respect of his teammates, it will cost his son the respect of the fans and it will drive down the value of a superb talent.

Portland causing a massive upset over Rapid City plays into our hands perfectly as long as maintain our upward momentum, it blows the division wide open.

I had an eye on David Nutt during the draft and hope that his GM looks after him going forwards.

5. Talk to us about your match up this week, how do you build on last weeks success or rebound from defeat (depending on your game's result)

Portland. A team that have just caused a massive upset over one of the Impact Bowl favourites. We will have our work cut out but we will be optimistic.

I'm not loving how I've played personally, but it's not just about me, it's a team effort.  If we are winning games, I'm happy, and it's a long season. Ever single pass is a chance for me to change the entire season's outlook. That's the way I see it.

And that's the way it should be mate. The only person who should be your biggest critic... should be you. You know your potential and you know what you are capable of. So what I want you to do for me is to make sure you know that whether you have a good or a bad game, so long as you feel like you gave it everything you have. I have a feeling that Portland are going to meet the Carl Bloom that everybody in the HIFL reveres and respects as an elite level QB. Do me proud man!

S10 WEEK 3

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
This week we showed the constitution and the will to win that we had all last season. We've won 2 on the bounce and we have the spring in our step. What is working for us is that while the other team can score a hatful of points, we will score 1 more than them...

2. How do you feel about the emergence of the Alliance of American Football and the XFL?
It gives more young players the chance to play a great sport and broadens their horizons. It gives fans more sport to watch, they won't stop watching the greatest company in pro football.

3. Talk about something going on around the league this season that has interested you in one way or another.
One thing I'm hearing is radio silence on Carl Bloom swallowing the tripe the media spewed out last week and he shit out gold for the Pride this week against a tough adversary. What I want to hear is credit where it's due...

4. Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the key to victory?
We have the media story picked up by the outlets which is the slump of Rapid City. Another sack of nothing if you ask me. Rapid City was the biggest challenge we had last season and they made us hurt on 3 separate occasions. Would we like the media story to be true so we can take advantage of a wounded giant? Maybe.

But it's not, and that's not how Lincoln plays. We are welcoming a Rapid City and just like Carl last week, they have a point to prove and they would love nothing more than for it to be against us. Our boys know how much last season hurt especially in that final match... we want to make amends for that hurt...

It's not right. Carl got bad press this week and thankfully he didn't let it affect him negatively.
That was a bit of a heartstopper wasn't it?

I felt overall it was a decent performance. Having Lanny out of position is hurting us though

S10 WEEK 4

1. Talk us through this weeks game. What went wrong?  What went right?
They are our bogey team aren't they? Just when we think we may have unlocked them, they find a way to step it up a gear so huge credit GM Gates and his team.

2. Which of your division rivals has surprised you the most so far this season?
We are in such a close division it's difficult to say. Rapid City are surprising a few by not walking the division as they have done in recent seasons but overall I'd say the division being as close as it is has surprised me most.

3. With where you sit in the standings, do you feel it is a true reflection of your team? Where do you feel you should stand, and who on your team is most responsible for your current standing?
It's tough to say. We are top by a hair. The way our defence has been regarded as porous in some areas of the media and for us to still be topping the division because of our high scoring gung ho style of play is a fair reflection if you ask me.

4. What has been the biggest challenge for your team so far this season, and who would you say was your teams' most improved?
It's trying to stifle the opposition's offence. We are doing a sterling job going forward but like a dog walker with no arms, we are struggling to hold onto a lead.

5. Talk to us about your upcoming game this week.  What will be the toughest thing to prepare for this week?
It's a big one. Kansas City. My old 'friend' GM Bone is hungry to get one over on me but when you have an overtime defeat like that it can either dent your confidence or galvanize you. I intend for it to do the latter

Damn, we played them close, but just could never put them away.

Yes, Ayala is out for the rest of the regular season, but luckily he's not a starter we have to rely on.
