S10/S11 OFFSEASON

MEXICAN NATIONAL TEAM EXPECTED TO POST SUPERSTAR LB DEMIAN MANTALBAN SHORTLY AFTER UFA BEGINS!

MEXICO CITY -- After 8 seasons with the Mexican National Team, most of them as the defensive captain, Linebacker Demian Mantalban has informed his superiors that he is ready to move on from the World Cup circuit and test his abilities against the players of the HIFL.  Mantalban compiled 153 tackles during the 16 game "regular season."  Despite missing a game, Mantalban's 153 tackles lead the entire field of defensive players, while the 30 year old added 2 interceptions, 7 Tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 14 PDs, and 2 forced fumbles to his stat sheet before entering tournament play where he logged another 27 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 INT, 2 PDs, and 1 safety during Mexico's two-game run in the world cup tournament.

In 8 seasons, Mantalban stacked up 1287 Tackles, 61 TFL, 11 FF, 7 FR, 33 Sacks, 14 INT, 61 PD, and 1 DTD while missing only 2 games over the 144 game stretch.

It is unknown if there is a strong interest in a tackling machine entering his age-30 season, but it is clearly a gamble Mantalban is willing to make on himself.

S10/S11 OFFSEASON

HONDO GAMBA, ZIMBABWEAN WIDE RECEIVER SET TO TEST HIFL WATERS!

HARARE -- 25 year old Hondo Gamba, the flashy 6'3" wide receiver who has compiled 2,873 yards on 184 catches and 10 TDs over his first three seasons has "had enough" with the struggling Zimbabwe National team and has been granted the right to be posted to the HIFL.  Three straight 9-loss seasons (7-9, 6-9-1, 6-9-1) and a failure to qualify for the World Championship/Cup Tournament rounds in his first three years on the circuit has lead to the African deep threat to seek a future outside of the World stage.

"I am looking to expand my horizons, and discover what it is to be free." Gamba said during his farewell press conference.

The 25 year old Receiver is expected to land on a roster easily as Zimbabwe is not asking for a minimum bid, where as teams like Mexico (with LB Demian Mantalban) are expected to place a "reserve" in place before truly parting ways with their star player.
