2014 (S5) HIFL ROOKIE DRAFT
« on: October 31, 2014, 02:52:58 PM »

2014 SEASON 5 ROOKIE DRAFT

HIFL DRAFT RULES:
1. All GM's MUST submit a proxy list of no fewer than 15 players, the board must be refilled after the team makes their draft pick so that the draft does not stall. (7 rounds is going to be a long draft without stalling, so lets get it rolling!)
2. Rounds 1, 2, & 3 will have a 36 Hour Time Limit, Rounds 4, 5, 6, & 7 will have a 24 hour time limit.  If you do not have your proxy list AND do not draft before time expires you will be penalized by losing your draft pick for that round, and will not get it back, there are no "make up" picks.
3. Do not send proxy lists to ANY other GM, only to me.  Proxy picks by other GM's will not be counted and you will forfeit your draft pick immediately, as will the proxy picking GM who makes the post.
4. Drafting out of turn will result in a league fine AND forfeiture of the draft pick in question.
5. Typos in the draft will be in character, be careful.
6. If a drafted player refuses to sign, they become a "free agent" BUT the team who originally drafts the player has the right to match any agreed upon contract (within a 24 hour window of the contract being submitted to the league office). A player refusing to join the team after being retained via "right of first refusal" will be forced to sit out of the league for a full season before re-entering the draft.

The Draft will officially begin at 8PM Monday November 3rd (18 hours +/-) from now.

Please submit your film study and/or your private workouts (only available on combine scouted players) ASAP.

You MUST submit a proxy list in the event you miss your epically long 36 hour window to make your pick. If you do not have that list submitted (15 player minimum) you forfeit your pick!

If you do not get your reports before your pick comes up, don't worry, the clock doesnt run on you because its a mod problem.

SCOUTING IS NOT ALLOWED DURING THE DRAFT! (as a mod I will have enough to do as is, I cant be writing reports as well).

FINAL NOTE:
If a team runs out of time to make their pick and you have the next pick, DO NOT MAKE YOUR PICK UNTIL I POST IT IS YOUR TURN! If you break this rule you will be punished!

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the 2014 (season 5) High Impact Football League College/Amateur Draft!

On behalf of everyone here at the HIFL, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the all the incoming rookies and their families who have chose to join us here in Miami for the draft.

To you young men preparing to make the step from college star to professional I have one thing to say...

You are at the start of the greatest journey of your life, enjoy the ride and remember that this opportunity is not afforded to many, you are the select few who are skilled and athletic enough to earn the right to play in this league, and you should be proud of yourselves for that...

I ask that all of you, as well as our GM's who are here representing each of the 12 franchises in the league, are respectful and courteous during this draft process.  Remember, your reputation is as important as your playing skills, and as you saw at the Scouting Combine, what may look like an innocent joke could come back to haunt you at a later time.

...Be professional, be polite, and welcome to the High Impact Football League.

OPENING CEREMONIES BEGIN FOR THE DRAFT... AS FANS AND GM'S ALIKE WAIT FOR THE OFFICIAL START OF THE DRAFT.
