Neal is more all-around ready than Chatman is... Chatman can play tackle or guard, but Neal can play all three.

Awesome, sounds good. I'll let you get back to practice.

---

Ms. Watson can you get me DT Marvin Swanson

--

Mr. Swanson, I call you in here in the hopes that we can come to an agreement that works for both parties. As of right now I know you have barely touched the field. Coming out my scouts told me you potential was sky high and it helped that you were one of the strongest rookies to be drafted. I would like to give you the opportunity to start in our minor league system. We did the same for Ezell and Mundy and that's how they got to where the are by starting in the minors last season. It gave them the reps, experiences and knowledge of the game. It also allowed them to really dig in and find that spark that ignited their potential. I come to you because your salary doesn't allow me to move you according to league rules,You have to be willing. RB Darin Cabral knew he wanted to start and accepted this as a challenge to work on his game and get back. I really think starting and having coach Kidwell mentor you will be fantastic for your growth.

I think you should reconsider, your aren't getting any reps at the moment which means you aren't getting gaining experience. The minor leagues will allow you to showcase your talents. If coach Kidwell thinks differently you will be back up here in no time. I'm really trying to get you some playing time.

Ms. Watson can you get me the GM of U.S.A

---

Good evening, I would like to offer you a deal you see as win win, we have some solid and young players here who might not see the field because of the superstars in their way. I am looking to move some of this high potential players for mere cash relief. Here is the offers

DL Everette Conti, Rookie LB Jason Foster and Rookie CB Peter O'niel

Mere cash relief, some Bonus Money in return would be all that is needed.

Unfortunately sir, we did not receive a formal offer for the players in question.  The only thing Team USA was interested in was taking Peter Haney or Tim Collier from us.

understood, thank you Ms. Watson, at this time we can not part with either as i look to keep building with those two players in mind. Can you call Mr. Esparza in here please.

---

Mr. Esparza, I call you in here out of pure respect. I wish it was under better circumstances. I want to thank you for being a leader on this team. I want to thank you for coming back to an unknown situation and mentoring the young guys. At this time, midway through the season I am getting word that we have a wealth of talent in the minors and the way our roller-coaster season seems to be going I must see what we have going forward. I can't and wouldn't ask you to go to the minors out of respect for your game and leadership. I have to do what is in the best interest of the future of this team. We have no money at the moment and I have to make a few moves. I would like to thank you for coming back and mentoring our young guys but we have to release you. Thank you for your contribution to this team.

Wait, don't go, I can't do it. I apologize, what am I doing....I'm an idiot. I can't let you go. Your game and leadership is to important to this team. Hell when you are ready to retire I had planned on offering you a job on the coaching staff. I'll find another way. I am sorry I put you through this. I wasted your time. Mr. Esparza, please forgive me for even considering this. I'll let you get to practice and I won't bother you anymore.

I made a mistake, I was wrong. I apologize, I brought you back for what you could do. We all have spoken out of turn, jump the gun, we all have stumbled from time to time and I hope this could be one of those times where my admission to being an asshole and an apology could be enough. I always put my players first. I care about my players. Hell I voted to expand rosters to brings guys up and maybe hire some guys out of work right now. I voted for expansion. Again, I apologize and want you to stay but if the damage has been done Iíll grant you your wish hesitantly.

(Lucas looks at his cell phone)

Hold on Albert, before you go, I just got a text from GM Bone over in KC asking if I have any O-lineman available for trade. They're already on their way to the stadium and sent in their roster sheets to the league office so we can't make any moves official until we go into next week. I'll leave it up to you to what you want to do. I can deactivate you for the next game and trade you next week or, you can play this last game for us and right at the start of next week you will be on the move.

What was your biggest takeaway from your game this week?
I think the biggest take away is that we have to play to our strengths which is looking more and more like what coach Munoz has put forward in our game plan.

With your record at mid-season, how would you grade the first half of Season 11 for your franchise based on your pre-season expectations?
I hate to say this but hot and cold. If I go by what I truly feel we should be then disappointing. We lost some games that we definitely should have not lost. If I look at this from the lens of growing, maturing and learning our playbook then we are on target. Either way you look at it, we are at .500 which is a big step moving forward because we haven't been in this position at this point in the season for a long time now.

At mid-season, which of your players would you consider an underrated performer who deserves more recognition?
Well on the offense side of the ball I think our O-line has been doing a good job opening holes for our running game and protecting our QB. On the defense side of the ball I think Newly acquired Gerald Roberts have been stepping up in Fellows absence.

Three weeks before the All-Star game, who do you believe is a lock from your team to be selected for the game?
It's hard but I can't ignore the job Shrader has been doing. D.C is putting up some real solid YPC numbers. Our pair of second year DT's Mundy and Ezell have really upped their game. Let's not forget when Pitts is healthy he is a lethal weapon. I'm sure I could find a reason for everyone to be selected but those are the definite standouts.

With the trade deadline upon us, do you see your team as a buyer, a seller, or neutral?  ...and what is it you are looking for on the trade market?
at 4 and 4 staying put would mean we are perfect where we are which we aren't. Being sellers would tell those men it's time to start packing it up, so we definitely not selling. That leaves one selection left and all Ic an say is stay tuned.

GM Lucas, We spoke about next season earlier this year, and I told you that if you were at .500 or better I would go ahead and extend your contract another year, and I am a woman of my word.  Consider yourself signed to return next year.  Now that being said, remember your season goals. I'm offering 500K in bonus money per goal met, and failing goals will count against your overall job evaluation.

We are one win away from passing last season's record which would go ahead and achieve our number one goal.

You have already failed our 2nd objective of avoiding league fines, and in doing so it has countered the boost your reputation has received from the improved record and strong passing defense, but that can still be improved going forward.

...All in all, being the one team to defeat Alabama has been a highlight, dropping games to Charlotte and TUcson in one sided fashion have been the low-lights.  Lets aim to pick up at least one more inter-divisional win and then 2-3 more in Divisional play, if we can do that we're on track for a .500 season, and that would make me very happy.

Well coach, GM Metro and I have already agreed on a deal which will land us John Pitts. That should significantly improve our passing game and add to even more success to our offense. I am not done, I have other things in the works but that is one that has already been sent in to the league office.

I think this combination with a WR like Zambrano in the slot will make us dangerous. Now we can let Mazza out his cage. I believe Pitts should be arriving shortly if he isn't here but I wanted to Surprise Erik. It hasn't hit the ESPN ticker just yet. I'll let you get back to the practice field. hopefully we can get both on the playing field this week. We are going to need them.

Ms. Watson can you get me coach Fletcher

---

Coach, as you know we are in a pivotal time. Teams are calling for some of our guys but we are not sellers, we are buyers this time. I wanted to pick your brain. A few questions

First, How do you see our defense. Is there anywhere that needs significant upgrade through free agency or do you think we have enough on the roster and Minor league to make it happen.

Second, besides our CB's are any of our players you see on D untouchable.

I don't feel comfortable making personnel decisions, thats for you to decide boss, but as for our defense, we such against the run, I'd say we need to find a way to beef up the run D and improve our safety play.

(Lucas just heard how that came out)

You know what. that came our wrong, forget about the advise. I just want to know how we can better use Swanson so I want to know is he more of a pass rusher or run stopper.?

..I'd say he's more of a run stuffer by technique, but his body type would lend itself to be better suited for pass rushing, but he's just way to slow to rush the passer.

Good to know, we got to start getting him on those running downs. How do you think we match up against Michigan.

They like to throw it, and we like to knock the passes down.. I think we're going to suffocate them and frustrate Gio Hill.

Well right now we're 23rd in scoring, 20th in passing, 17th in rushing..

They are 19th in points against, 8th vs the pass, and 19th vs the run.

Interesting, though we don't rank to high as far as the run goes we have to bulls picking up big yards. They seem to be strong in the one place I just upgraded. Interesting decisions to make. Coach, obviously with the Pitts brothers you think it's a good idea to put Zambrano in the slot or would J.Pitts be a better option. I think Zambrano has the athleticism to be a home run run threat from the slot, what do you think?

John Pitts is an outside receiver by trade, so I think Zambrano is likely the smarter choice.

Great, it looks like we are ready to start moving things along. I'll let you get back to the field coach. Thank you for your input.
