"Well, I can't blame them.  There were things going on in my personal life that hindered me from doing my job effectively.  Rather than give a halfhearted effort, I believed it in the best interest for Oakland fans if I stepped aside and GM TJ's done a tremendous job building that team."

"However, I'd like to point out the job that I did in such a short time building that roster.  If you look back at my first and only draft in the HIFL, almost all of those guys are contributing in big ways for the Silverbacks - guys like Christopher Allen and George Britt.  Franchise building blocks."

"I hope my resume, both in a brief stint in the HIFL and my FBL championship, speaks for itself and fans will see that we're going to put together a franchise that Atlanta can be proud of.  This is blue collar town - we're going to put our hardhats, dig our fingers in the dirt and run through the guy in front of us."

Good work with the team's first press conference Mr. Rebel.

I'm going to be at home preparing for the start of our first season, I'll be back once teams start gearing up for the draft, I'm looking forward to seeing who you bring in as coordinators.  See you on Draft Day!

"Ted Collier, please."

"Coach Collier - last time we spoke, I mentioned you'd be one of my first calls when we could begin negotiations.  We've got Coach J under contract as head coach and I'd love to see you lead our defense.  Are you still interested?"

I would be interested in hearing an offer, but I do have other teams I have interviewed with, so I would not be willing to commit just yet.

GM REBEL SLIDES A PIECE OF PAPER ACROSS THE TABLE IN AN EFFORT TO POSSIBLY KEEP NOSEY GM'S FROM HEARING HIS OFFER.

"I understand your not wanting to commit right away - you have every right to interview with other franchises.  I think you'll find our offer to be agreeable when the dust settles - what do you think?"

"Could I please speak with Ron Jackson regarding our OC position?"

---

"Hello, Ron - thanks for meeting with me.  We're in the market for an offensive coordinator and I'm a big fan of your work.  The Warriors are in the market for somebody who is going to help craft our mammoth OL up front and then ram the ball down the opponents throat.  Do you think that would be something that would fit well with your philosophy?"

As a tandem?  I'd say I'd love to pair Michael May with Jose Mackey.

Individually, I'd say Crawford at QB and Robles at RB just for the versatility.

Now if we are going "off the radar" I think Kenneth Benjamin has the potential to be a stud, and a younger QB like Caleb Smoak is a keeper.

It depends on my QB, if we have a good one I am fine running about 60% of the time but if I have one who needs to be protected, then I'd run it around 65-70% of the time..

I'd be looking for a 1 year deal for about 75% more than that, since I am really wanting to be a head coach more than being a coordinator, but since you are wanting to run my scheme even before I arrived, I'd do 2 years.

I don't think expansion teams can sign players yet.  ...besides, I hear the Premier League has SERIOUS hate for anyone who signs a player from them, some folks just get tunnel vision.   Jose is signing with Vegas for a record breaking contract.

GM Rebel welcome back to the HIFL.

We will not hear anything on the free agency front until after the first day of free agency passes by, but once we know something the agents will contact you.

Remember, we have 135MM in salary and are projected right now to have 25.5MM in PR with our Coaches under contract...

Enjoy the off-season.

Actually I do.. Jason J Fredrick.  He was one of my best players in college.  College Hall of Famer at QB, just didn't really transition to the pros. He'd be a great offensive assistant.

Well sure, I started for 4 years at Duke and helped us have some of our best seasons as a pro.  I never got to make a start in the pros, but I did play a valuable role as a back up in L.A.

I'm now trying to cut my teeth in the coaching world with the plan to be an offensive coordinator one day.  I work well with QB's and their WR's on route concepts and helping them play well together, but I also work with the rest of the offense. I'm just trying to add what I can to the team I'm working for.

I believe in a balanced yet powerful offense. We need a QB who can maneuver in the pocket but he doesn't have to scramble.  I think the Run game and the pass can complement each other.
