I mean, none of us but Hodge are happy, and he is just in it for his stats... but plenty of dudes are just going through the motions and waiting for next season.  Just not playing hard.

I don't know what our money is like, but maybe a team get-away for a day or something.  Get out of practice for a day and just do something to get guys remembering we are all a family.

1. What happened out there this week?

"We're just running out of steam."

2. What is your take on the fallout from the Appeals Hearing this week?

"Honestly, I'm ready to move past the whole thing. It's a major black eye for the league and I'm tired of talking about it, to be honest."

3. What else stood out to you in the news this week?

"Powers termination in Tombstone and Justin leaving a seemingly good thing in Music City was a bit of a surprise."

4. Speak about anything else you would like to, as it relates to the league...

"Nope."

--

"Coach, unfortunately, I believe that was the nail in our coffin this week."

Perhaps.  I would want to sit and talk to my family about it before I decided if I would give it one more year here, but if you're still here I'd consider it at least.

GM Rebel, you have taken our franchise to the play offs in our first season as a 10-6 team.  Last year we fell to 6-10, and now this year we sit at 4-9, I need you to at least deliver one more win and show some fight as we move to the end of the season.. If you can not win another game for me this year, we will likely be parting ways after the season.

"I've got faith in you, Elijah. This team may not seem like it right now, but we do."

--

"Xenia, gather the team."

--

"Gentlemen,

We're standing at a fork in the road. This season hasn't exactly gone as we'd expected. We'd hope to be in a very different position but alas, here we are. I could stand before you this evening and come up with any number of reasons to explain why we're in the position that we're in. However, none of them would be good enough at the end of the day. You deserve more than what I've given you this season and for that, I'll take my medicine. I'll accept my fate at the end of the season... either I'm going to be here as your general manager or you're going to continue on fighting with that Warriors on your chest with another guy at the helm. The truth is: I wasn't good enough this season."

"However, as I look around this room - I see a group of men that are good enough. This team is every bit as talented as the others around the HIFL. From top-to-bottom, there is a bevy of untapped potential. Potential that I'd like to try and unlock. Every single person on this roster was put on it by my hand. I've had a say in every single one of you becoming a member of the Atlanta Warriors. It's special for me. Each one of you are special to me."

"None of you owe me anything. Each and every one of you have fought with me from the beginning and I'm truly thankful for the effort you've given me. Simply put, I'm going to ask you to find another gear. Find another level. Dig down deep. I'm asking you this man-to-men. Do it for me. Do it for Coach J. Do it for each other. Do it for the city of Atlanta."

"Can we make that happen?"

MEDIA QUESTIONS

1. Talk about this last week's game.

2. Losing Mario and Whaley this week to long term injuries is clearly upsetting, but what does this team have to do to win one of these final games to keep your job?

3. Talk about anything else you would like to discuss...

1. Talk about this last week's game.

"A big disappointment. We left last week all on the same page and ready to go. Unfortunately for us, we couldn't come through. These guys played their hearts out... no doubt about it."

2. Losing Mario and Whaley this week to long term injuries is clearly upsetting, but what does this team have to do to win one of these final games to keep your job?

"I'm gutted for Mario and even more-so for Whaley. That's not the way we wanted to send him out. Just have to keep fighting and figure out how to get a win."

3. Talk about anything else you would like to discuss...

"No more questions at this time."

--

"Coach, brutal game... not just the loss but losing Cavanaugh and Whaley. I'm sick."

They have been up and down, seems like they don't run the ball very well ranking 16th in the league, and on defense they are 16th in every single stat... unfortunately that's basically us on offense, so we just need Carr and Hodge to be on the same page and hopefully get some good runs out of Hood.

1. Talk about this weeks game.

"Big, big, big win for our boys. I thought our offense really opened up and we got a glimpse of our offense next season moving forward. I thought the whole team deserved a massive pat on the back."

2. Talk about Next weeks game.

"We've got Miami and hoping for the same result. Heading in to the offseason with a 2-game win streak would be huge for us."

WEEK 16 MEDIA QUESTIONS

2. Looking back, what grade would you give your draft class?

1. Reflect on this season, what went right?  What went wrong?

"We didn't get off to a great start and that definitely sent us back quite a bit. We dug ourselves an 0-4 hole and couldn't ever dig ourselves out. However, going 6-6 the rest of the way, with a few games that could have gone our way... we've got a bright future here in Atlanta."

2. Looking back, what grade would you give your draft class?

"Well, the class itself - I'd give us a solid B+ but myself an F for letting Maxley get away."

3. Who was the MVP for this team this year?

"Carlos Gallaraga. The guy makes play after play."

4. What should fans expect in the off-season?

"We have over 20 free agents, so we're going to have quite a bit of work to do. However, we've got a gameplan and ready to move forward."

5. Who do you believe will win the Impact Bowl?

"Anybody but the Dragons."

"You've got a deal, coach. Last question and we'll lock-in for the offseason. Vic LeBlanc was fired earlier this week by Oakland. I've got a tremendous amount of respect for him and would love to chat with him regarding our defensive coordinator position. I'm not sure he'd even consider that position after his success with Oakland but I think it's worth a phone call... unless you think he's not an upgrade over Collier."

"Life sometimes gets in the way, coach. I'm sure you're aware of that. I may have had to bow out but I also hired him and gave him his first go as head coach."

--

"Vic LeBlanc, please."

--

"Hey Vic, it's been awhile. I've got an open position for defensive coordinator and I'd like to see if you're interested in filling it. I know that things didn't get off to the best start between us... but life got in the way and unfortunately, I had to bow out instead of giving it a half-assed effort. I always knew you were going to be one heckuva coach in the HIFL and I think you got the short end of the stick in Oakland. I'm offering you a one year deal with a "coach in waiting" clause. When coach J hangs it up after Season 9, the head coach job is yours if you'd like it."

"So, essentially a one year deal worth $6m for the season, and we'll promote you to HC with renegotiated contract after coach J's final season."

"Can we agree on that?"

I am looking for a head coaching job before I consider going back to being a coordinator.

"I wouldn't blame you and I figured as much but I couldn't not make the call. I think we've got the ideal setup here, Vic, honestly... you get a chance to spend a year focusing solely on the defense, which is your bread-and-butter, and you can start to put your stamp on this team. And then when Coach J hangs it up in Season 10, you've got the keys to the Warriors' kingdom without having to start from scratch."

"Is there anything I can do to convince you? If not, can we give you a call later on in the offseason if you're somehow looking for a job?"

You can call me later, but right now I'm focused on getting another head coaching job.

GM Rebel, we have discussed the season previously.  You know we expect better.  I expect to see you make that happen.

"Xenia, can we get Darren Hall on the line in regards to our DC position?"

"You know what Darren, forgive me - I appreciate your willingness to take my call but I'm going to have to take another one real quick. Best of luck to you in your search."

"Xenia, we'll be in touch in regards to scouting directors soon."
