If Forrest ends up working his way to 500 yards, that second year becomes a player option. We'll add an extra 250k to his salary and give him a chance to showcase what he's capable of in the preseason. Does that work?

Not too bad, I think we should look in the draft for an undervalued safety or linebacker who is sort of a hybrid, one who can play that floating role but also drop into coverage when needed.

We're working on it. The offensive line is strong in places but week in others, but Holcomb is a smashmouth Frank Gore-like running back, so I like what we are working with..

"I'm fairly happy with the way things unfolded for us here in Atlanta. We knew it was always going to be a challenging beginning for us building this team from the ground up but I truly believe we have some foundational pieces here and we're going to continue to grow as a franchise."

2. After seeing them in camp and in pre-season, do you think you have any stand out rookies?

"Matthew Grover played extremely well at WR and we're pretty ecstatic with the debut of Philip Sanderson. Edgar Reinhart had a nice interception against Long Beach."

3. Did you have any position battles in camp/preseason? How did they turn out?

"WR is going to be the most contested position on our roster. We've got some guys we really like there and all of them bring something different. I'm not sure we could go wrong put any combination out on the field."

4. What was the highlight, and what was the lowlight of your preseason games?

"Well, obviously beating Las Vegas was a highlight. Our guys showed the type of guts we expected out of them in coming from behind. The low was such a poor performance against Long Beach. But it's the preseason - we're not going to get too worked up."

5. What is this teams biggest challenge going into the season?

"Getting our offensive line to gel so quickly. We're going to depend them on a lot and they haven't spent a ton of time together."

6. Where do you predict this team finishes at the end of the season?

"I'd like to think we can compete with anyone in the league."
