1. Talk us through your Week 12 Game, What did you like, what didn't you like?

Very good win for our squad. It may be a down year for Tombstone, but you still have to get the job done each and every game. Offensively we had a very balanced game. An efficient passing game, and our best rushing game of the season. Defensively we did a nice job with passing and rushing as well. Seeing our guys getting to the quarterback with 7 sacks was nice. And Heflin did a nice job in his first HIFL game. All around I'm pleased with our team's work in this game...

2. Talk about anything interesting you around the league...

The playoff races this year are tremendous. Almost nothing is certain at this point, and that is great for the league. Having drama down to the last week of the regular season will help the popularity of our league. For us, I obviously have a close eye on Vegas' results each week... and they continue to win. If we are going to get that division title, they are going to make us earn it.

3. Talk about your game this upcoming week, what do you need to do to win?

Oakland plays hard and tough. They will not make it easy for us to get a win. But we need to go out there, play our brand of football, and get the job done. We need to focus on winning and getting ready for the playoffs...

With the division winners getting a first-round bye this year, we definitely want to win the division, the schedule is favorable, but at the same time, it is for them too.  We do our part and it will come down to that final game of the regular season, winner takes all.

A bye would be tremendous. I know we can't learn a whole lot from a game like this, but how does Heflin's play look compared to our other guys who've been in that spot? Any tangible positives you picked up on?

I thought it was a strong performance, he didn't let McIntyre beat him deep, which is a big plus.

Yeah, I think he could be a nice fit at CB2 for us.

I never feel like we can learn much from a game against a weak team, so I really don't have much else to add on that front...

Any sort of concerns heading into the Oakland game?

1. Who was your star player this week? Who disappointed?

We win and lose as a team. This week was a tough one, but we got the job done by grinding out a tough win against a solid Oakland squad. I wouldn't say anyone disappointed. We had some offensive struggles, but most of that can be attributed to the weather, and in the end we made the plays we needed to get a victory. Giving up 7 was nice of defense. I thought Doyle Brady played a nice game tonight. He and Jack are a great pair in our linebacking corps.

2. How would you evaluate your team over the last few weeks?

Not everything has been pretty, but we are winning. That's what you need to do this time of year. We've got some fine tuning we can do to be at our best the rest of the way, but we are going in the right direction, as we have been all season.

3. With three games remaining, what is the plan to end the season on a high note?

If we win the next two we will have a winner takes all game for the division in the final week. That's what we are looking at right now. We aren't looking past Tulsa and Long Beach, but we have a goal that can be attained in a few weeks, and that is in our sights...

4. What do you have to do to win the game this week?

Play our football. Tulsa has some good players on their team, but we should win. It's as simple as that...

1. Talk about this weeks performance from your team.

Another week, another win. Solid performance. Offensively we had good balance. Keenan was throwing great passes all day long, and we got over 5 yards per rush in the running game. Defensively we were solid as well. We gave up 10 points in the fourth, but the game was in hand by that point. We're doing what we need to do. Win the games we should and get to the Vegas game close enough to win the division and get home field...

2. Talk about your team's news this week.

Christopher Connor played a great game this week. 10 tackles, a sack, a tackle for loss, 2 forced fumbles... if he can continue to play at a high level it will add a new dimension to our defense going forward. I'm very happy to see his production this week.

3. Talk about at least two other news stories of interest.

Tombstone is the big story of the week to me. Any time a pro sports team moves it's a big deal. It's a shame they've fallen from Impact Bowl participant to the bottom of the league in just a few years, but I guess that's the fickle nature of the business. If only a former GM didn't get rid of Smoak... Mr. Crowley seems like a good guy so I hope he finds a situation for his team that suits him.

On the field the story has to be Curt Robles. Damn that guy is on a roll. If for some reason Keenan Daley doesn't get MVP of the league the trophy better go to Robles.

4. What do you have to do to win the game this week?

Keep doing what we're doing. Long Beach has started another rebuild so we should be able to take advantage of the changing landscape within their team. Win this one and we get the Vegas showdown the way we want it...

1. Talk about this weeks performance from your team.

Got a win, as we should have. Long Beach is rebuilding, and we're a contender. We should win that game. Nothing overly spectacular this week, but effective...

2. With the playoffs coming up, what do you hope to achieve in this final week?

Win the game, the division, and get home field advantage. This game couldn't be any bigger as far as a regular season game goes...

3. Who scares you most in the current pool of playoff contenders, who do you hope misses out on the playoffs

No matter who makes the playoffs, we can beat them. We'll take on any and all challengers.

4. What do you need to do to win this next game?

Play our football. Don't let Vegas dictate the game, force our will upon them. We did it once this year, and it's time to do it again....

We've done our part up to now, we're a legitimate power in the Western Conference and everyone knows it.
We've beat them once this year, lets do it again and make sure the road to the Impact Bowl runs through San Antonio.

Agreed. We can make a statement with a win this week. We've made our way this year by basically lining up with what we've got game in game out and rolling with it. I'm thinking we go with what brought us here and don't change anything, but I was curious if you had anything you'd like to tweak this week...

No tweaks, its not the time to get cute.  We know our team, we just have to hope Keenan can handle his first true clutch-game and get us to the #1 seed.

1. With the playoffs starting, what is your number one priority as the GM?

As the #1 seed in the West and the team with the best record in the whole league, our goal is to win the whole damn thing...

2. Who was your regular season MVP for the league, and also on your own team?

Same answer. Keenan Daley. Seeing some other GM's comments I'm pretty sure he won't win, but he should. I'm not sure how you win MVP with a six game losing streak during that season... The culture of our team completely changed when Keenan got here. We had maxed out on how far we could advance. Now we can win it all. Keenan changed that...

3. Who do you expect to face next week when you host your first playoff game?

A team that will challenge us. Seattle is a greatly improved team with one of the league's top GMs guiding them, and Rapid City are the two time defending champions. Either way we'll get a fight...

4. What do you plan to do this week, will your players get some time off?

I'm going to consult Coach Action and see what he thinks. He's the one with Impact Bowl experience so his guidance will be quite helpful as the Knights look to enter new territory...

1. Talk about your exit from the playoffs, what does it mean for you and your team going forward?

It's a disappointing end to the season, but overall I'm happy with how things went this year. Not many teams can get to 13 wins with a rookie quarterback, but we absolutely found out that we drafted a franchise changer. The present hurts, but the future is bright...

2. What is next for this franchise?

Continue to surround our key players with guys that can contribute and get us to the next level. We don't need to look for a bunch of stars, just some productive guys.

3. Do you think you played your best football this week?

No, we did not. We were sloppy at times, but I don't want to take anything away from Rapid City. They took advantage of opportunities that we presented them, and did what they needed to do to win.

4. Do you expect to make major changes in the off-season?

No. I am always willing to listen if someone has an idea for a big trade, or if we can lure a big time free agent, but my goal is to re-sign our key guys and add depth at other positions.

5. What could you have done differently as a team to advance to the Conference Title game?

Played a better second quarter... that 15 minutes killed us. We had the momentum, then Rapid City turned it on us. Our sloppiness on offense played into it, but we needed to stop the bleeding and just couldn't do it. When you get to the second round of the playoffs you need to be sharper than we were...

It was hard to watch, Coach. Such a good year undone by a single quarter...

I guess we have to look at next season now. My main focus is going to be on adding some depth at a few positions, maybe a solid backup TE and some more quality O-linemen, plus adding some defensive pieces. I'm thinking we look at whether we need to find a new LB3 or if Connor can fill the job, look at our DT spot to see if we want to stick with what we've got, and add depth to our secondary, especially another CB who can potentially be a CB2.

Would you like to add anything you want me to look at/go after?

I like Crawley and Longoria at TE, so I'd lower that on the priority level, but that's the biggest needs I see right now, but after the Impact Bowl people start to retire, so we'll see then.

Yeah, I'm curious if we'll have all of our vets back next year or not...

Any player or players we should absolutely get rid of?

That's good to know we don't have too many negative spots on the roster...

Are there any issues you'd like to address I haven't brought  up?

No, I think we had a great season, we just had that lapse that cost us our entire season.

Don't you dare trade away Daley, I hear the jokes, and if that happens the only joke is gonna be how fast they fire you.

...good work this year, lets get them next season.

I'd trade myself before I'd trade Daley...

See you soon, Coach.

Sir Digger of Graves!  #1 in the HIFL in the standings, a first for this franchise! Something to be celebrated if not for our failure to turn it into even one playoff victory..  I am saddened by this, it is unfortunate that we are not the ones preparing for a chance to play in the Impact Bowl, but your bold decision on Keenan Daley was magnific!!!

You are the one to lead this group of Brave-Knights, which is why I promote you now to Lord Digger of Graves!

Next season we shall slay the next dragon in our way!

Let's talk to Coach Brigham.

Coach, I wanted to touch base with you before the offseason kicks into gear. Are there any changes you'd like to see made to our offensive personel this offseason?
