No, I think we're all set.  New Defense this week with our new boom-man, that'll be fun to watch and boom!

Damn right it will be. Time to get a win....

Have a good week, coach.

--------------------

Let's talk to Coach King.

---------------------

Coach King, first off thank you for coming back. It shows your character that you can look past last week's events and decide to keep coaching here. Again, I apologize for my actions.

The reason I'd like to speak with you is that I'm curious about Melvin's progress. How has his bulking up gone, and would he be ready to use at linebacker if possible or necessary?

It has gone well. He's up to 220 and I think he'd be a Shaq Thompson-type for us right now.

Excellent. Thank you for the update. Have a good week, coach.

----------------------

Let's talk to Coach Diaz.

------------------------

Coach, I won't take much of your time. I know you're installing your defensive strategy this week, so time is short....

I had Coach King begin to work with Melvin Williams on bulking up so that he could play safety or linebacker for us. He's a kid that wants to do whatever he can for this team, so hopefully we can find some playing time for him, whichever position it may be.

I won't dictate any of your decisions, coach, but I wanted to put in a good word for Melvin. He's the kind of hard worker the Knights need....

No problem. I know you're busy coach, so that's it for now.

I look forward to seeing your defense in action this week.....

----------------------

Let's talk to Burton Tibbetts.

-------------------------

Burton... great game. That's the guy we signed in free agency. Those first few weeks looked rough for you, catching short passes without a chance to really make plays. But the spread allowed you to get into space and show the world that you're without a doubt the greatest receiver in HIFL history...

Yes... yes you can.

Again, nice job this week. Keep it up.

--------------------------

Let's talk to David Putman.

----------------------

David, I just wanted to touch base quickly this week. Early in the season, you and the rest of the defense has had a lot of pressure on you to keep us in games, but with our offense taking a step up it should get easier on you guys.

As our defensive captain I wanted to let you know that the defensive effort has been greatly appreciated, and even though we haven't spoken about it yet it has not been overlooked....

---------------------------

Let's get Bobby Shapiro on the line.

-----------------------

Bobby, how have you been? Hope things are going well.

The reason I called is that I'd like to discuss a contract extension beyond this season for your client, Ross Dockery.

I'd like to offer him a 4 year, 6 million deal with 1 million PR, starting season 7...

Finally...

This group of players has deserved a win every week of this season. They've played their hearts out, and given everything they have to this team. But now we have a win, and it's just the start as far as I'm concerned.

Music City played just as hard as us today, and I commend them for the effort. When you look at expansion in this league you see four quality football teams. We've all done our part to strengthen the league, making HIFL even more of a clear cut choice as the greatest professional football league in the world.

Our offense wasn't perfect today, but we got the big play that helped us win. I think that's what the spread does for us. It gives us the threat of a big play at any time, allowing us to catch up or take the lead on a single play.

Defensively it was another strong effort. We made the switch to Coach Diaz's system, but our guys didn't skip a beat. They will make sure we are within striking distance, or hold the lead, in every game....

I'll open it up to questions at this point...

No. He's had fewer carries the last few weeks in the spread, so we can't expect as much yardage out of him. Once we get the new offense completely settled, I think we'll see Willie's carries rise and his production go up as well.

I think if I have to pick one guy, I'd go with Burton. He's scored 4 touchdowns, and his big play ability has been instrumental during our transition to a more potent offense.

I think the commissioner's office handled both situations well...

When it comes to DGB, the HIFL has done well in cultivating a positive image, especially in comparison to other professional football leagues. When a player has a public display that makes the league look bad, I think action is required, beyond a fine of just over $11,000...

As for Cotter, he should feel fortunate that 2 games all he got. There isn't a place for PED use in this league, and hopefully the kid gets the message. He's very talented, but seems to create chaos around himself. This might be his wake up call...

Let's talk to Coach Prince.

-----------------

Coach, I wanted to check in again about the running game. There's something I'm beginning to wonder about with Willie....

Is he not fast enough to be the back in our offense?

He' faster than St. Paul's Joe Davis, but I just don't think he's handling our offensive scheme well, I guess...

I don't know either, coach. It seems like he should be getting going better, but hopefully he'll come around. At least the passing game has improved in the new system...

If the running game doesn't get better soon I may need to look for an alternative, but that's down the line.

Have a good week, coach.

I think we're ready to go. This is a big game with Rapid City...

Same setup as last week.

Coaches to make decisions.
