AFTER HEARING THE RESULTS GM FRANCHISE WANDERS BACK TO WHERE THE OTHER GMS ARE BUT NOW HAS A SIGN WITH HIM. IT SAYS "TO FIND GM REYA CHECK ROOM 135 AT THE HOLIDAY INN OFF OF EXIT 12" ON IT.

GM JON THINKS TO HIMSELF HOW JEALOUS FRANCHISE MUST BE TO CARE SO MUCH ABOUT GM REYA. THEN HE FURTHER THINKS TO HIMSELF THAT HE'D TAP THAT ASS TOO.

I wonder if his players are aware they work for a child. If that old man cared enough about his team, he'd set him straight.

THAT GM STRIKE GUY CAN BE NOW SEEN HOLDING A CAMCORDER, COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY FOCUSED ON GM FRANCHISE AND THE PLETHORA OF SIGNS HE HAS COME TO DISPLAY

...To post it on YouTube or to not post it on YouTube.

Commissioner, if you would, a quick word. First...apologies for the initial trouble with the league. I let my own excitement get the best of me, I'll make sure to not repeat anything like it. Second...what's the league's policy on exposing immature behavior like...

THAT GM STRIKE GUY SIGHS, ROLLS HIS EYES AND POINTS OUT THE GM FRANCHISE SCENE

...on the internet for everybody to see?

HE SHRUGS AND LOOKS OVER AT GM STRIKE

GM JON HAS HAD ENOUGH AND WALKS OVER TO GM FRANCHISE, WHO HAS DONE NOTHING BUT TAKE AWAY FROM THE PLAYERS AT THE COMBNE.

"Look, I don't know why you're here, James. But us other GMs are here to evaluate players. Not only that, but remember you not only represent Pearl Harbor... but you also represent HIFL. Keep that in mind while you continue to make an embarrassment out of yourself."

THAT GM STRIKE NODS

Appreciate your time, sir...as for you, Franchy...

THAT GM STRIKE GUY PASSES A HAND THROUGH HIS HAIR, AS IT SETTLES BACK PROPERLY

Perhaps you should concern less about the hairstyles of your fellow General Managers, let alone what they do in their own beds, and maybe focus on the fact you just made an ass out of yourself in front of the league and the players in this combine.

Oh, by the way? The last time you tried to have some fun, that thing known as the "Closeness Party" happened.

Hey Coach LeBlanc that one kid would be a great talent to send on blitzes right? You know the kind that QBs who are coming off injury shortened seasons just hate to see. It'd be a shame if the violent nature of football took its course with a player like that, not for us, for them you know.

FRANCHISE NODS AT GOOCH

"Let's talk in a second, homie."

HE THEN LOOKS AT GM JON AND LAUGHS AFTER HEARING HIS TIRADE

"The only embarrassing thing here is the fact that uptight GMs like yourself are showing your true colors the moment I trolled everybody. I did that for a reason. To see the reactions of certain GMs as opposed to others which I am taking notes on. It's all for strategy and tactics later on."

HE LOOKS AT STRIKE AND YAWNS

"Get back at me when you've actually done something in the HIFL instead of trying to be Alex Shelley videotape gimmick character of the league. The moment you talked to the commissioner about immaturity you made an ass out of yourself. Like I told Jon, I'm taking notes on what the GMs are doing as well as the players. Reactions, overreactions, etc. Very obvious who's more worried about getting other GMs in trouble than worrying about the combine. Makes it easier to know who to trust later on. Speaking of that..."

TURNS BACK TO GOOCH

"Let's go talk."

Pancho, I understand. He's a part that is valuable, but you understand my plight to want him. I'll improve my offer. How does my S6 4th rounder and S7 2nd rounder sound?

GM Metro looks at GM Pancho and GM Gooch.

"Man Gooch, guy needs to repeat. Has to get some talent this year. Michael Wood, Richard Collins and Tombstone's 4 this year for him and Long Beach's 6. Plus I might let your PR lady have a look at my I-Pad once or twice ..."

Well boys those are mighty interesting offers.  Gooch I'm afraid GM Metro is indeed right that the help is needed more this year than next.  Not exactly looking to make a project here in long beach but a dynasty.

But Metro ... offensive players?  I think we both know that the help I need is on defense especially in how the expantion draft is going.  Think you boys both need to go back to the drawing board.

And given the tension and course of conversation this group is taking I'm afraid I'm gonna need to take a step back and take a walk on the field for a bit.

---

GM PANCHO WORKS HIS WAY DOWN TO THE SIDELINES WHERE THE DRILLS ARE BEING RUN.  HE SPOTS A GROUP OF ACC PLAYERS HUDDLED TOGETHER AND APPROACHES THEM

How you doing boys?  GM Pancho.  Long Beach Mermen.

Honestly?   I have no problem working out but my agent advised me not to. He said too many top prospects have fallen to injury or a fluke mistake in the 40, so he thought I should let my film do the talking..

Drew's always looking for an advantage.  Well I got to say it's a shame not being able to see you in person but my office and staff will be in touch with you about an interview.  Thanks for giving me a few minutes of your time.

----

GM Pancho walks away making sure to say his goodbyes to the other ACC players. He walks over to where his group of coaches are looking out over the field/

Coach Seau, Coach Thompson pleasure to see you both here.  So looking over our budget we've got the ability to do 2 combine interviews and 1 film study.  If you don't mind Coach Seau I think we got to talk to the Wilkinson kid.  He just told me him sitting out is an agent ploy.  Coach Thompson I want you to take a look at some of the OL.  I want your imprint on this version of the Mermen coming into this season.  Any names pop out at you?

GM FRANCHISE DIGS INTO HIS BAG AND PULLS OUT A COPY OF THE BLACKLIST SEASON 2. HE LOOKS OVER AT GM GRAVEDIGGER AND ASKS HIM IF ITS HIS FAVORITE SHOW TOO.

THE ENTIRE CROP OF PLAYERS CONSIDERED TO BE FIRST ROUND TALENT LOOK AT GM FRANCHISE AND DECIDE THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN SIGNING WITH PEARL HARBOR UNLESS THE PRICE IS OVER WHAT IS CONSIDERED RIGHT.

CONSIDERING HE DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO SCOUT OFFENSIVE LINEMEN AT THE COMBINE, YOUR COACH SIMPLY SHAKES HIS HEAD... FOOL

THE VERY LARGE GM GOOCH COMES OVER TO A LARGE GROUP OF PLAYERS, ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED FIRST ROUNDERS AND THEN SOME ARE TAKING A BREAK FROM DRILLS. HE DROPS AN ENORMOUS ICE CHEST AND OPENS THE TOP AND STARTS TOSSING WATER BOTTLES TO PLAYERS. THE BOTTLES HAVE HIFL LOGOS AND VARIOUS LOGOS OF ALL THE TEAMS. AFTER ALL THE PLAYERS GET A BOTTLE OF WATER, GOOCH SPEAKS UP.

I just wanted to take the time to congratulate you young men. You have put in years of effort for this combine and to say you have performed well would be an understatement. I know several of the GMs are just as impressed as I am. I am glad you have chosen to bring your talents to the HIFL where the best players come to play football. I am the GM of the Missouri Bruins and I love good football. Some of you may play for my franchise or one of the teams logos found on your water bottle, I just wanted you to know that you have chosen the best league. We have coaches that work very hard and GMs, even if they act funny, that are very competitive. Your hard work is appreciated, I hope this water cools you off some. Just know its not only your friends, family, and fans that are pulling for you...GMs like me are pulling for you too. Shake off any nerves you may have and do what you have proven you are, be great football players who have devoted years to their craft. Proud of you guys, you have made this combine a treat.

GOOCH MOTIONS THAT IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS WATER THAT THEY CAN GET IT.

GM GRAVEDIGGER APPROACHES GM FRANCHISE WITH AN ANGRY LOOK ON HIS FACE. WHEN HE GETS CLOSE, HE SMILES AND EXTENDS HIS HAND FOR A HANDSHAKE.

I do like the show, Franchy.... And I deserve the ribbing.

GM JUSTIN ARRIVES TO THE SCOUTING COMBINED FLANKED WITH TWO SCOUTS.  HE'S NOT CARRYING A MAN PURSE NOR DOES HE HAVE ANY HIGH-TECH GEAR WITH HIM.  INSTEAD, HE TAKES THE OLD FASHION ROUTE WITH A YELLOW LEGAL PAD, A STOPWATCH, AND A PENCIL.  HE SHAKES HANDS WITH ALL OF THE GMs BEFORE MAKING HIS WAY DOWN TO THE FIELD TO WATCH THE RECEIVERS UP CLOSE.

The Sports Channel Cameras spot GM Phoenix pointing at GM Goocher and throws him a thumbs up catching the eyes of the few watching Phoenix alone in the corner. They see Phoenix get up and start doing the cabbage patch then the running man but Phoenix gets so into it he grabs a security guard and starts to do the train dance and leads the guard. The security guard grabs an Usher as now all three men are doing the train dance around the seats, they go up the steps and grab a police officer, the officer then grabs a reporter who screams "THERE ISN"T ANY FUCKING MUSIC" All participants look at each other, then look at GM Phoenix as they walk away embarrassed and disappointed

GM Pancho stares out wondering what he has seen.  He blinks a few times making sure he saw who he thought he saw doing what he thought he was doing. He chuckles to himself and then shares a joke between his coaches.

"Some people just can't handle the combine."

THAT GM STRIKE GUY, AT THIS POINT, CAN'T HELP BUT TO ROLL HIS EYES AT THE SCENE IN FRONT OF THE OTHER GENERAL MANAGERS, LETTING HIS COACHES CONTINUE TO DO THEIR WORK WITHIN THE COMBINE

So, GM Pancho - congratulations are in order for the championship win. We would have had you on the podcast but Primo is fairly adamant about NOT doing it. Still not sure what's his beef...
