Hall of Fame requirement discussion
« on: October 17, 2015, 01:09:27 AM »
Gentlemen,

I am looking to start working on the league's HOF (the sim has one but I have had it deactivated until we all started playing so we didn't start with HOF players.)

First and foremost I'd like some input.

1. How long should a player be retired before being eligible for the HOF?

The game has its own guideline for stat totals to be HOF eligible, but I want the HOF to be more of a US thing and not the SIM.  Now, historical players will be put into the HOF, so it won't just be full of your players from S5-on, but I want user votes to factor into my decision for the hall.

There will be a coaching and player win, as well as an owner wing even later on.

Anything about the HOF that you'd like to see?

Retired for minimum 1 full season.  So, for example, Larry Wright would be eligible Season 8 (he retired midway through S6, S7 is the full season to sit out).

I've also thought that once you're inducted into the HOF, you are basically unable to "come out of retirement" to play.  if you go into the HOF, you're acknowledging you're done, unless you coach/own a team later in life.

I agree with this as well.
