What's the point of a tackle if it's for a 10 yard gain. We have to look past basic stats and look at impactful stats. Only two players have 20 tackles FOR LOSS. Only two players also have 20+ sacks along with those tackles for loss. In the case of Timothy Cobbs 60% of the time he was bringing a player down it was FOR NEGATIVE YARDS. He want just stopping momentum. He was sending you backwards.

That's where your votes should go.

Only 2 defensive TDs, so he could only have won two games by himself at best.

Ed always speaks in hyperbole. You just have to find the legit info in what he says, and 18 picks is legit...

And 27 sacks is a common day achievement?  Reward those who play on the line that's physical smash out football.

But inversely If you needed to gain just 1 yard .... If Cobb just tackled you 60% of the time you would fail. That's mind blowing.

I feel like I'm arguing the importance of .OPS versus RBI

So many people just look at stats and don't look at the intangibles that really matter beyond the great stats.

Larry Stevens is more then a tackling machine. He is the anchor of the D.C. Cobras defense, a team that won the tough SouthEast Division. He is the Captain of the defense. He is that sure thing that you never have to worry about. He is the type of player that has his nose on just about every play. There is a reason Larry Stevens was the ONLY defensive player nominated for league MVP. He's the best defensive player in the game. Period.

You can't just write off the players in the secondary because they're not getting tackles for loss. If a tackle is missed on the line there is likely to be another tackle coming. Miss one in the secondary and that pass/run can go from 10 yards to 50, 60, 90 TD. An interception is an instant turnover, too. A sack could easily be followed by a TD pass. You can't just say that sacks and tfl matter more than INTs and tackles in the secondary.
