All 3 of these guys are deserving, but I ask that you take a close look at Storm Woods production relative to his playing time. He backed up one of the best running backs in therror league for half the season, so his production was mostly done in half a season which speaks to the offensive weapon that he is.

Only one of these players took his team to the playoffs. What's the point of stats if winning doesn't come with them?

Elliott dropped almost as many balls as he caught. Woods wasn't considered worthy of a starting role for a big chunk of the season. Ortega's QB rating is under 100 and he rushed for less than 1000 yards: he's not a particularly good QB or RB, he's just kinda "meh" at both. Haradaway is the only one I can't think of criticism for other than the position he plays.

Jose Mackey rushed for 4.2 yards per carry and he is the GoAT

Ortega rushed for 5.4 yards per carry as a QB.

If Ortega ran the ball as often as Mackey he would have rushed for 2260 that would be a rushing record.

Yeah he's just a meh as a runner. I know you don't value QB much Kirk the way you let talent at that position slip but don't lie to yourself.

QB, being the key here. Ortega is a RB playing at QB. He can't be the best if he can't play his position.

Besides, he only got 5.4 yards per carry because he runs on trick plays. He wouldn't get anything like Mackey's numbers as a real RB, which is why he plays this hybrid position. Maybe he'l prove himself down the line, but right now he's just Ronnie Brown and that doesn't deserve any awards.

If the award was for the Rookie of Half the Season then I can see an argument for Ortega or Woods. Unfortunately it isn't. Woods wasn't deemed to be good enough to start at the beginning and Ortega was a punchline. They've both come a long way and they have the potential to win awards in years to come but they've not done it over the length of a season yet. I agree with Kirk on Ortega, too. To a point. I do think he's been a little unfair but if Ortega was here as a RB... well he'd not be anywhere near this list with those stats. As a QB... 19 interceptions to 24 TDs isn't good enough to be on the list either. I've seen first hand what's he's capable of at his best but that hasn't happened enough this season. For me the award is between Elliott and Hardaway. I think an argument could be made for Hardaway being the best LT in the league this season though. Could similar be said for the others? He's performed like a seasoned veteran all year, which is perhaps the best thing you could say about a rookie. 0 sacks allowed is huge for a rookie LT but what these stats don't say is that his team is also ranked 2nd in running offence. You can't do that without quality o-linemen.
