Mr. Reigns , GM Black Death here. I am interested in your job opening , I feel you are going need someone at the role of GM that going to help your team grow.  HIFL is a different league than APL and your coach is going to need to focus on coaching.  It just too many duties for him and feel it going to hurt your team in growth.  I know my reputation is not great , I left my last job to do to severe illness , I am better now and looking to help a team become dominant  in this league. I believe i can help this team win if I am given the chance

Good evening Mr. Reigns, First let me say this is exactly what I needed a fresh start. The start of new era, one which I expect to succeed at the highest level and put Seattle on the HIFL map.

Thank you Ms. Bucks, you are the absolute best at what you do, Ms. Bucks can you get me coach Graham

------

Coach, finally we get to talk. I apologize, I came right in and after the talk with Reigns I got started on crunching numbers. I have a few questions so we are on the same page. This is your team first and foremost.
So I ask, after watching training camp where are our strengths and weaknesses?

Can we benefit from any specific position battles?

Our depth at receiver and talent at Quarterback are big strengths, plus Tubbs and Arreola on the offensive line are great players.

Our corners are our biggest weakness, Lambert is our best, but he is really a 2 or even 3 at best, but we can't do much about it this year.

I think our WR spots will be up for grabs outside of Dorian Chriscoe, who is clearly our top option.

Great to know, looks like we have a good foundation moving forward. I'll let you get back to business coach.

------

Ms. Bucks can you get me coach Harris and coach Goodman and assistant coach Johnson

-----

Coaches, wanted to introduce myself before we get into the games. Coach Graham told me about our strengths and weaknesses. He spoke about how besides Chriscoe that our WR core will figure itself out. I'm looking to establish a bit more consistency in our offense. Coach Graham also spoke about us being thin at CB. With that said I want to utilize my skills as a GM and your skills as coaches to the best of our ability so this is what I am thinking,

First from you coach Harris is there two particular WR's you would like to see battle it out for the #2 spot and do we have a slot receiver you prefer?

Second, coach Goodman, I see our corners can use some help. Not looking to make any drastic changes until we see what we really have but what do you think about adding some depth and bringing in a few practice squad corners to see if anything comes from there?

Third, coach Johnson I wanted to know which side of the ball do you specialize in, defense or offense?

Irwin is a natural slot guy, so I think he should be the slot option, but I think in the base set, he should be competing with Craven and Fox for the #2 spot..

Hilton and Scott are the only two corners even remotely worth bringing in but I'm not convinced they would be better than who we have already, Corner is a premium and not many teams are looking to move one.

I am a recently retired Strong Safety, so I work the defensive secondary, boss..

Wonderful input gentlemen.

Coach Johnson you are going to love working with Sam Rose as I know he will love learning from you

Coach Harris, we will see that battle in the preseason

And, coach Goodman, I'll bring one of those if not both in just to have some depth, it's a long season and you never know what diamond we can find in the rough.

Thank you gentlemen, I look forward to working with all of you once the season starts. Your input is invaluable. I'll let you men get back to work.

Ms. Bucks can you get me agent Molina on the line please

Agent Molina, good day, if your client Eric Scott is still available and interested I would like to make him part of the Seattle Reign. I interested in signing him to the practice squad for 250k.

---

Coach, I want to know your thoughts on our a few things, being new here and having just stepped in after training camp I would like to get some information about our defense alignment and our linebackers.

First, what defensive scheme do you see us running this season?

second, Who is our strongest LB?

third, Who is our fastest LB?

Our scheme was listed on the team report, we run a 4-3 defense.

Sammy Davis is our fastest linebacker and the strongest is James Gomez.

Coach, we are near ready to get this preseason going. I believe that if we have a solid special teams unit it can make a big difference. With that said,

First, who are our top 3 fastest players

Second, which two players would you consider for PR and KR

Chriscoe, Craven, and Irwin are our fastest players...  As for Kick and Punt Returns, I'd think a young guy like Clemente Williams, or Irwin/Craven, any of those guys can do the job.

Coach I got some ideas for the preseason games and tell me which you like more if not all

first idea, I think for the preseason we should go for it every time we have a fourth and 4 and shorter just to see how we respond

second idea, all starters the first game, all back ups the second

or the third idea, Blitz nearly 90 percent first game and drop back nearly 90 percent the second game

which of those do you think we should experiment with just for preseason?

Well I can't actually set a number to go along with going for it on 4th down, I wish i could, but I cant... I like the 3rd option best, lets blitz heavy and then play coverage and see what we do better.

Excellent coach, I want to thank you for all your input, you have made my transition go very smoothly. I look forward to all of us working together this season. I'll let you get back to work.

---

Ms. Bucks can you get me CB Higgins please

----

Mr. Higgins, it's a pleasure to meet one of my captains. I know you are a busy man so I won't waist time with small talk. I would like to talk to your about something. Things were put in place before I showed up and I was wondering how you felt. I know you were brought in for 1 year and then the captain label was put on you. Now the last time I worked with a talented CB like yourself he was not happy about being the captain especially since he wasn't told about it. He didn't want people looking at him for answers. He just wanted to play his game and concentrate on being the best. That year he went on to become the HIFL interception leader. So I ask you, do you feel like the captain label would suit someone else better. I am one hundred percent fine if you wanted to concentrate solely on your game to try and become as marketable as possible in the off season.

S8 PRE-SEASON RESULTS

1. How did it feel to be traded away from Orlando a year after guiding the team to the playoffs?
2. How do you avoid making similar mistakes in Seattle that you did in Orlando?
3. How did you feel about the pre-season?
4. Who is the one player you believe needs to "step up" to help this team perform at its best?

First question, Well it was bitter sweet. It seemed like when I arrived in Orlando I was always trying to wipe away all remanence of the previous GM. I think I got so caught up into making that team %100 my entire brain child and I didnít take a step back and let things play out. Well, first itís bitter because I know I left behind a real good team and would have loved to see this season play out. Itís also very sweet because I always love the challenge and I needed a fresh start. I wore out my welcome in Orlando and I needed a clean slate where I could be the best GM I can after a rough two years in which I really learned about myself. Lets not misinterpret anything here, I am here now and I have the same expectations and even more desire to win now that I am here in Seattle. In all Honesty. You are going to see a different GM Phoenix.

The second question, I just have to take my time and have patience. Let things play out and concentrate solely on what I was brought in to do. Put the players in place and let them play, give them time to gel and let the coaching staff do their job.

To answer the third question, I thought it was informative and very encouraging. We have some talent on this team and I canít wait for these men to display it. This preseason probably was one of the best I have had as far as really learning about the type of team we have and how we should go about coaching them and preparing them. A lot of spots were filled by some amazing play and a lot of spots have shown that we might need to really concentrate on supporting those players in those spots.

And the last question I will say this, for us to be successful we need to understand that these men are all playing with one another for the first time, so I would say as a whole the entire team and staff needs to step up. It wouldnít be fair to put that on one player. These men are all coming together for the first time. There needs to be a gelling period, we donít know who needs to step up. I mean look at the preseason, rookies did exceptionally well, third year guys found there footing, veterans are showing great play and leadership, you can't ask for anything more. But I will answer your question, the one person who needs to step up isÖ..ME! I need to become a GM and stop trying to coach, stop trying to be a psychologist and stop trying to fix problems that donít exist. I need to step up and be the very best GM I could be and get out my own way.

If there are no more questions I am eager to talk to the coaching staff about what they saw this preseason.

Coach, I felt like the preseason was very telling for both our offense and defense.

Who were you most impressed with on both sides of the ball?

Who are you worried about on both sides of the ball?

Earl Craven impressed me on offense, 9 catches for 232 yards and 2 TDs, that's great production.  On defense Sammy Davis' 10 tackles and 3 sacks were great to get early in the season. I expect a good year from him.

Vern Fox on offense wasn't nearly as impactful as I expected and Scott Brent disappeared on us on defense..

Great points coach, let me ask you,

Do you feel we should be more aggressive and blitz more often or do you think we should balance it a bit more?

Seeing what we did on offense do you like a more heavy passing approach or balanced approach?
