If you know a group has given a positive result, why not use them again until they don't? The more we open it up, the higher chance there is of using the wrong people.

I feel the opposite of Kirk. If it's the same people over and over again then the rest just become yes men which is not good either.

It's like playing golf and playing best ball...

Everyone is there playing but only the one guy's shot matters.

Using the same team over and over is just a hotshot to the end of the game and is kind of cheap, but if thats how you want to play, so be it I guess.

I've got no problem being on the team and voting in public, I've got nothing to hide.

Doesn't matter if they keep saying yes to successful missions

What if a mission is unsuccessful? Would that change the mindset or keep it the same?

Mission 4 has been selected!

Mission 4 requires 5 team members, and two fail votes for the Mission to fail.

Talon has 48 hours to decide on a team.

because we need twice as many failures to fail, and if we do use the original team it improves our odds of success since I feel good about those 3 as being successful votes, especially if Doug has me vote publicly.

I'm considering a team of Myself, Powers, Kirk, Dougie, and Pancho

Dougie has me vote publically, and Pancho has to vote publicly, that's money in the bank because if it does fail we know that both Doug and Kirk are scum.

If it takes 2 fails to fail the mission:

I vote in public per Doug's card I deal him.
Pancho votes in public per the card he was dealt from Powers
I've seen Powers' card, so I know he has to vote success
so for the mission to fail Kirk and Doug would have to vote fail.

So if the mission fails we know who the scum is, if it succeeds, we get the 5 man mission out of the way.

If I use the card, do I have to declare it before we vote on your team or just before the mission is accepted? If the group decides to vote against the team I want to use the card on someone from the next team.

Just in case, assuming your team does go through I do wish to use the card on Talon.

I dont think you have to use it until the team is voted through.

And DQ, no I'm not saying it clears me, but it does prove the other two are scum IF the mission fails, unless you want to include that powers could be scum since you havent seen his card.

That's exactly what I'd want to include. If it doesn't clear you, then it doesn't clear powers. Forgive me for finding your win/win scenario a little convenient.

I agree with this. I can see the benefits from Talon's point of view (both pro and anti resistance) but he's the only one who has seen Powers' card so it only helps him narrow options until someone sees his card. Also, does Pancho have to vote for mission succes in public? I thought he just votes yes or no to the team in public.

With the realization that Pancho does not have to vote on the mission status publicly, I'll swap him for DQ.

I nomination the team of:

Talon
Powers
Kirk
Doug
and DQ

Powers - Reject
Talon - No Submission
Gooch - Accept
Franchise - Accept
Kirk - Accept
Jon - No Submission
Pancho - Accept
DQ - Reject
Dougie - Accept
Black Death - No Submission

As this was not a majority of the players, this team has been REJECTED

Your new team leader is Gooch.

Gooch you have 48 hours to nominate a team. Talon has already distributed the Plot Cards for this round, and has already selected Mission 4.

Alright then. I still don't trust Talon, and it goes back to his not giving me a plot card. I showed you who I am, so you know that I'm blue. There is no logical reason to not give me a power if you are town. In fact, to my way of thinking, I should've been your first selection.

I will vote against Talons inclusion in any team.

I dunno, man. He saw your card, and opted to give to someone else. Maybe because he already had faith in you he did this as a chance to get information on others? I don't know. I'm having trouble following the game, but I just don't see any reason to really doubt him right now.

Okay, imagine that you're town. Town doesn't know anyone else's alignment except their own. Suddenly, you get a pm! You see another players card and know that they're town! Then, you are in charge of passing out abilities to players. Abilities that could be good for the town, or bad for the town. Do you take not 1, not 2, but 3 shots in the dark? Or do you give an ability to the ONE player that you know for a fact is town, while still taking 2 shots in the dark?

I don't get how I'm the only one to see this.

because the cards that were given weren't something that would ruin the town if they were given to the wrong people.

If I could show someone my card with a card, I'd have given you that so you would see that I was also blue, but that didn't happen.  Move on.

Powers has made the most valid point in this game so far, not sure why it's not being taken seriously.

I don't even trust him, but he has logic on his side.

Even if it's a staged argument between two spies, the point is still valid that talon didn't empower whom he claims is the only hundred percent resistance member in the game.

I'm thinking now that I would send

Gooch
Powers
Kirk
Doug
and Talon

Thoughts?

Interesting group. I still think that the groups need the be changed up with different players.

I'm still ok with going and using my card on Talon if you keep him in the group. I'd have to consider other options if you removed him.

A thought/question. If a player doesn't submit his succeed/fail, does it auto-fail or would the game be on delay til that player PM'd? I looked in the rules and there isn't anything about this.

I know its a minor gripe to bring up but we did have 3 players forget their mission accept/decline. Inactivity from a team member causing a mission to fail would suck.

Members of the Resistance MUST select Succeed (and must PM me, or they will auto-fail).
