Changes to the Hall of Fame Voting process
« on: January 19, 2017, 12:31:24 PM »
I have decided that we will have a change to the way the Hall of Fame will work.  No longer will you have to nominate a player and have him go through a nomination vote and then a final vote.

We're going to do it like the MLB.

  • ANY GM who has ever played in the HIFL will have the option to submit a Hall of Fame Ballot when the period opens.
  • Any player who has been retired for at least one season is eligible for the hall of fame.
  • Each Hall of Fame ballot may contain up to TEN names.
  • A player must received 75% or more of the votes from the voters to make it to the HOF.
  • The voting period will be announced on the boards, but will likely come after the Impact Bowl, and run through the end of the ERFA period.
