With some deliberation, I think Myles Jack deserves it. Despite Wilkinson setting a season record in sacks, I think Jack shows that he is a complete defensive player, contributing in just about every aspect of the defensive game. While there are other candidates who excel in specific areas, I think he comes out as the most versatile in all categories. Also, I think he was the X-factor in dragging San Antonio across the finish line ahead of Vegas.

Wilkinson. It's not just the sacks but the TFL's. He absolutely disrupts the game in both facets. I maybe put less value in gross tackles because if you've got a ton of guys who get to the ball you see a reduced total, versus if you only have one (see Oliver) they naturally rack up a ton. Look at what's happened to Goulet's tackle numbers since I added Hernandez and Carrier.

I voted Hagan to see Powers explaining trading away the defensive player of the year to his coach again. I'm still hoping to see a Hagan safety win the Impact Bowl against Michigan.
