Hey there!  The name is Ian Paul-Allen, but you can call me Mr. IPA!  I love a stout defense and a hoppy offense, so lets not lager around here, if you think you can build this team into a real thirst quencher, give me a call.

How are you?  Mr. IPA is it?

My names Andre and Iím fairly new to this sort of thing. Iím really more of a numbers guy and well lately thereís been this push to give analytics a bad name. I tell you I canít go a day without watching some vet of the business talking about back in his day.

Iím here to bring some young blood into a sport thatís stuck in the dark ages.

So I want to prove that this is the future of football. What did you want out of a GM candidate?

GM Andre, it's very nice to meet you.. I've not heard your name around the league but not many had heard mine either until my fine selection of craft beers were flooding the streets of every pub this tide of the Mississippi river!

You're a stats man huh?  Analytics, well I've heard GM Gooch in St. Paul's of that mind set and he flipped a team rather quickly, so I think I'd like to go outside of the box, or the "can" for all puns sake and lets see what a new fresh face can do with a nice clean canvas shall we?

I think fresh ideas and a smart analytical approach is exactly what I'm looking for here, and someone who understands the value of developing a player and not just tossing him aside after a bad year, or going after a man just because his name sells tickets or jerseys.. I want someone who can find the diamond in the rough, turn a 6th round pick into a 6 time champion.. If you're that man, you should have a lager and come get to work!

Your secretary's not got her make up right just yet but she can do anything ya' need her to as far as making calls and bringing people in, she'll be happy to help you get up to speed on things here.

We heed to hire our head coach, coordinators, an optional assistant coach (which is generally a recently retired player just getting into coaching) and a scouting director.

Make that your priority right now.

Hoppy Head? Hi I'm new here.  Names is Andre.  I guess we'll be working together.  Mr. IPA gave me some marching orders and I need to hire a head coach.  Do you have Ron Jacksons number?

Mr. Jackson sir nice to meet you.

I donít have much of a reputation around here but my name is Andre. I am also aware of what I lack and thatís experience on that field so I wanted a coach who knew the terrain and help guide me. I also wanted a coach who had a little something to prove and just needed that opportunity.

Doing my research I have seen youíve interviewed a lot with teams but never been hired. So I wanted to give you the opportunity here. As an expansion team we are an open book and are really looking to mold the team in tandem with its coach and GM.

My philosophy I preach is efficiency. As a stats man Iím looking for an offense that takes calculated risk but doesnít mind settling for a sure thing if itís consistently there. I expect my defense to take that same attitude.

If given the chance what would you build a team around and what is your philosophy that you would apply.

I like the way you've laid out your style, I respect that.  Here is my game..  I love the ability to rely on the run game.  I am not a "run or die" coach, but if you can't get 2 yards on 3rd down with a run, why are you on the field?

My ideal offense features a talented and efficient quarterback, someone who makes the throws but knows its more important to avoid the turnover.  A running back that can handle the load himself, or a pair of similar backs who don't mind sharing the load.  I don't want a "thunder/lightning" combo, I want two guys who can go out and do the same thing, interchangeable parts.
A strong and smart offensive line, and on defense I like a group that can get after the quarterback with a mix of blitzes.

I agree completely. Iím not looking for a flashy offense that can make the Sports center highlight. It seems offensively we sync together quite well as avoiding turnovers is a big belief in my system and with a power back or tandem we can control the clock and keep other flashy offenses off the damn field. I want to harp controlling the time of possession at all times.

Iíd love to offer you the position.

I want to offer you a 4 year deal at 8 million. This is going to be a lot of work and I need a coach who is committed long term.

I respect the offer, but I can work for about that same price and have only half the work to do, you'll have to shoot for $9MM or $10MM if you want that contract signed right now.

Fair enough. We all have to stay in our lanes.

Hoppy can you call Dan Rhodes.

Hey Dan we are looking at emphasizing a run based offense.  As our head coach put it "If you can't get 2 yards on 3rd down why are on the field?" I myself want to emphasize time of possession.

How does that mesh with your coaching philosophy?

Alright. Awesome.

Hoppy weíve only got one more to go letís call Linden Justice.

Linden we are looking for a DC whose looking to get after the QB and can do it in a variety of ways. I know you run a 3-4 but defenses are so much more complicated than that. Tell me what are your key positions for your defense and what kind of blitz ratio do you like?

I am a firm believer that speed and explosiveness from the safeties is the key to a dominant blitzing attack, and I like to blitz about 65% of the time.

Welcome to the franchise coach. Pleasure having you on board.

Hoppy looks like we have a full staff except for the scouting director. Let me speak with Ryan Styles

Ryan I see your specialty is quarterbacks. I want to know two things. One when it comes to QB what specifically are you looking for and what kind of skill do you favor?  I would also ask the same about other positions as well in general.

I look for power and speed, a blend. Nobody wants a plodding power back who can only be used on 4th and goal at the 1, I want a powerback who can run on all 3 downs and push the pile anytime for a big gain.
