The Pitts brothers are legit, but we've got the squad to hang with them.  I think you're right on the money.

sounds good, we will go down that route, think that all, for now, I would like to speak to Coach Rudino about the offense and then we will lock in for the week. thank you again, coach

Can I speak to Coach Rudino, please

Coach, Offense looks good during the preseason, putting up 27 and 23 points in the two games, think we got a good one-two punch with Bell and Davis, how are the receivers gelling with Carr, any problems there?

Ray looks like he has good chem with him, but the rest are still working on it. Stands and St. Felix look good overall, but we just need them all on the same page.

SEASON 12 - WEEK 1

1. Discuss your first game of the season. The good, the bad, the ugly.

It was a hard-fought game, I love that we did not quit when we were down and went into the 4 quarter and score 14 unanswered points to win the game, the offense put together the score and the defense did its job also shutting them out in the second half. there were few mistakes here and there on offense, but I chalk that up to growing pains as the guys are learning to work together  and will see these problem get iron out

2. Talk about the news surrounding your team this week.

I think its great thing, gives the players an incentive to get that turnover to wear that belt at the end of the game. It's great idea by Coach Tarr

3. Was there a pleasant or unpleasant surprise that you didn't expect from your team in the individual performance category?

nothing that I can think of, I expected this team to win, but why they won was a surprise, it was a close game and they did not give up and that I like, team will not quit when the going gets tough and that going to something that going to carry them throughout this season

4. Talk about your week 2 opponent and what you need to do to win this week.

We got the Impact Bowl champion San Antonio Knights. This going to be a good test of where we are this season and I believe we are going to silence the critics of this team. I don't think much going to change for game plan for us, we gound and pound on offense and we play smothering defense and I believe that is going to carry us through the day

We showed grit this week, we didn't play our best but we clawed back and won.  That's what you gotta do to win a title, win the ugly ones.

1. Talk about your teams performance this week, where do you need to improve most?

The team played tough, it was a hard-fought game in which they refused to quit. that second half, namely the fourth quart you see there is a never say die attitude with this team. This going to serve us well when we are in the playoffs hunt at the end of the season.  I feel we just need to improve on getting our offensive flowing better in the early part of the game, it took almost three quarters for us to get going and once we get going you can see the kind of points we can put up.  Just need to work to get offensive to improve in the first half

2. Talk about the ATL/BAMA brawl, what do you think of the incident, the build up, the referees involvement, and the fallout.

it ruined was up to this point a damn great game, It was something that should not have to happen and case the league into a negative light, Don't have much else I could say about it. It was a damn good game

3. Talk about Marcus Mariota's situation, what is your take?

I can understand both sides in this, but it should have not got to this point in the first place.  really have to take a look at how it was handled in the past and not see the warning sign that it was headed this way. Martiota is a great talent and a team that gets him will be a better team for it.

4. Talk about your week 3 opponent and what you need to do to win this week.

Kansas City is next and this is a rivalry game, They din't like us and we don't like them , there not much else that needs to be said, We are going to just stick to our game plan , ground, and pound on the offensive and smother them on defensive to win

See here is the issue, this game is not about the GMs, it about the team, about the players, but GM T-bone wants to issue a challenge, funny that he feels this his team is a better team, when they have not won a game yet, while we have gone  through two hard-fought games were we won one , and another one we took the defending champions to the limit. this more of a tool to try to get his team motivated, I don't need such actions, for my team. they know their great

But we will accept the challenge and we are going to win. plain and simple. Just adds more fuel to the fire

1. What was your biggest takeaway from your team this weekend?

our most complete game as a team so far, it looks we are coming together as a team and had all phases of the game going at full speed.

2. Discuss the XFL's potential move to Sundays, do you feel they are a legitimate threat to the HIFL?  Why or why not?  Do you feel that the recent news stories surrounding GM Lucas in Atlanta, and other the rest of you GM's and your declining approval rating with the HIFLPA and its players is worrisome, and how do you fix the collective GM's image around the football world?

Don't really care about the XFL, they can do their thing and we can do ours if they want to choose to go head to head with us that their choice, but if they were smarter should just stay where they are and reap the success. trying to bite off more than they can chew.  To fix our image, we have to show the players that we care for them, they're not a product, but a person, it does not look to them like we care about them, that needs to change.

3. Where do you rank yourself in the league when it comes to your job as a GM, both in the win/loss department and the player relations department.  What could you do better?

middle of the pack to be honest, in both job and player relations department. I could be more engaging to the players getting to know them better , which might be something I try to work on.

4. Talk about this weeks match up, and also one other game that catches your eye.

We play Cleveland, nothing really changes for us, we stick to the game plan, smother them on defense and ground and pound on offense.  Atl vs Oakland might be fun to watch

Yeah, bad bet for him. Note to self, do not go Vegas with Gm T-bone

Cleveland is next coach, to be honest, have not thought much we need to change against them, don't think they can hurt us, We stick with the usual game plan, Ground and pound on offense and smother them on defense. Anything you need to add coach?

1. What was your biggest takeaway from your team this weekend?

It was a slow start, we need to get off to a better start in the first half, we get ourselves into a hole and have to dig ourselves out of the hole in the second half

2. How do you feel about your teams performance at the quarter-season mark.  What has been your biggest strength, weakness, and where do you hope to see the most improvement?

I believe we done well so far, 500 record is good, I think our biggest strength has been our defense ,  I think we just need to improve on getting a better start in the first half, we same to be a slow-starting team, just need to get a better start.  Weakness think is just our inexpensive working together

3. Which players around the league are really catching your eye this season both for the good and the bad?

honestly, I haven't  pay much attention to other players around the league, I been focus on my team  pretty much, and our opponents, could not tell you who doing good or bad at this point

4. Talk about this weeks match up and what you expect to do best against your opponent.

playing Lincoln, I expect us to run well on them, which will open up the pass in the second half to seal the game

5. What do you make of the news in Charlotte and the return of GM Kirk?

good to have him back, don't think he can fix that team this season is going to take a lot

1. What was your biggest takeaway from your team this weekend?

that we dominated from start to finish, all aspects of the game, offense, defense, and special teams were clicking and the end results were a victory. Rather convincing one too.  really love Taylor 71 yard punt return for a touchdown, that was a standout highlight of the game.

2. What do you make of the news of the league's expansion?

the more the merrier I say, I am always excited about facing new challenges. I welcome the new teams and new GMs to league and wish them the best of luck.

3. Talk about this weeks opponent, and what you expect from your team?

We got Winnipeg this week, Good, young team, I don't expect our game plan is going to change that much, We ball control on offense, ground, and pound and we come out and smother them on defense. I expect us to come out with a win.

1. Talk about last week's game. (typical what went right / wrong depending on a win or loss)

just could not get out of the starting block in that game. I was a hard-fought game, just a few breaks here and there we could walked away with the win.

2. What are your thoughts on this year's draft class as you head into the showcase to see many of them for the first time?

a good young crop of players, feel it going to be a good year of young talent

3. What are you hoping to gain from this week's Showcase?

I hope to get a better feel of of who these players are and who can help my team win in the future

4. What did you schedule for your players during the bye week? Training or a week off?

Give them a week off, this is a tough game and my team has earn the change to rest and heal up

5. Talk about anything else on your mind in reference to the league/sport as a whole.

I don't have much more to say at this moment, just looking forward to evaluating the future stars of this league

6. Discuss some of the hirings and firing around the league over the last two weeks, what surprised you most, and what did you see coming?

nothing surprises me at this moment in time ,  change over is  part of this game and nothing new, I did see the GM T-bone and GM Gates move coming  there team performances have slipped in the past few years after having much success

1. Talk about last weeks game. (typical what went right / wrong depending on a win or loss)

It was a hard-fought game, but we spotted them 24 points in the first half, just could not get going that half, it did not help that we were down two great corners, Porter getting hurt in the first series. We never quit, but it was just too big of margin to come back from, but I love the no quit in this  team

2. Talk about the news this week, and ALSO talk about the expansion GM's getting to begin their interview process now.

Strain relationships with an agent are never good, it doesn't help both parties. I hope both sides can work it and get past there issues with each other.  New GMs are going to be working hard to get it right, it never fun. But I wish them the best of luck and will; be happy to help if they come asking for advice

3. Talk about this weeks game and what needs to happen for you to come away with a win.

Playing KC, this week, it lost some of its lusters since GM Bone, not there. but we are not going to be looking past this team, they're still going to be playing hard, but we stick to the game plan, pound it on the ground and smother them on defense, it works the first game we play against them and will work again

1. Talk about last week's game.

It went like I expected it would go, we got KC number this year and we prove it on the field. I hated to see Carr get hurt. We are going to take some time and examine the injury. Make sure he ready to go and fully healed. But out RBs step up and really pounded them. That stat look really nice

2. Do you see your team being active at the trade deadline this week, would you be a buyer or a seller?

not sure yet what we are going to do at the trade deadline, but I will take stock of what we got to see if we can make any improvements, within reason of course. If I had to say something we would be a buyer.

3. Talk about the news this week, what stood out to you?

I can understand how Taylor feels, I will freely admit I could be more open to my players, show them that I have their backs, Which truth be told I have not. But I do not think it as serious as the headline make it out to be

4. Talk about this week, which position group needs to step up to help improve your odds of victory?

Rapid City,  Going to make challenge to our offensive line, Right now I am leaning toward letting Carr rest and going to have our back up in there. they're going to have to step up and protect him and we are going to lean heavily on our running game, just like last week.  We do that and our odds go up and we win the game

Hopefully we don't rush to lock in this week, huh?
