So... did you mean Forest Walker... or that NABA guy in Seattle Frank?

Weirdly enough? Both. ...I have Frank on my fantasy team. It was a rough week for him.

I'm gonna apologize to Forest proper here soon. Guess I haven't kicked out of my flu just yet. Yikes.

Thanks for holding down the fort while I was gone though, Coach.

Sorry we didn't do better, but without a quarterback we really struggled.

..We'll get them next year, but watch out for that NyQuil, it's a real tongue twister.

No need to apologize. You all did what you could do under the circumstances. ...But yeah, less NyQuil, more water.

That said, number three overall next draft. We're definitely going to make some proper noise with that pick and help shore up this team some more.

Roger that. But until then, I know you and the staff have some well-deserved vacation time ahead of you and I hope you guys enjoy yourselves and hopefully North Korea doesn't try to fuck it all up again. We'll see you around, Coach. On your way back, can you send in Forest Walker to see me?

Hey Forest. Look, first and foremost, I owe you a gigantic apology for that snafu with the press. Screwing up names is not something I tend to do and I'm ashamed of that particular slip-up, it will not happen again. That said, the words do still ring true...I know you're probably as frustrated as anyone with the drops you had and come training camp, I'll definitely be ensuring you get some proper time with the coaches to work on your hands even more to continue using you in the offense the way we want to. Sound good?

Strike Guy, MY GUY!  It wasn't a beautiful season, the high octane offense still needs some work and it will get there, but you hit on 4 out of 5 goals... Not bad son.  You can be my wingman any time..

Thanks, Mr. Barone. The vote of confidence a few weeks ago on us being that much better come Year 2 once we're all fully recovered was much appreciated as well. Glad to have hit on some of those goals and now that we know our place in the draft, it's even more exciting. That said, with all of the circumstances with helping get our league's coaches back from that hell from last offseason brought us to needed expenditures and hitting on most of our goals for the season, I'd like to see if it would be possible if you were to pay our way into the upcoming season's combine.

I'll get to that when the impact bowl ends and we see our bottom lines, but I don't expect that you'll have to worry about that. I'll be giving you as much support as possible in the off season.

Thank you Carmine, I appreciate you crunching the numbers and I'll keep a tally on them myself going forward. Excited to get this show on the road. Let's get Maxx Vol on the line, if possible?

Coach Vol, as discussed in the past, I know you operate on 1 year deals...so I want to bring you back for another year under the "Minor League Head Coach" fancy title they've got nowadays. Would 1 year, 4MM do the trick?

In the meantime, Carmine, can you please get me in touch with Coach Mike Patricia, please?

Coach Patricia, this is GM Strike over here in Milwaukee. With Coach Stevens retiring, we are looking for a new defensive coordinator here in Milwaukee and your hybrid style of defense with its aggression has my curiosity - what exactly is your philosophy with running this particular style and why do you think it would excel at the HIFL level?

Man, it's just nice to hear someone say my name right for  change... anyways, Look at what we did in Miami, 4-3, a little 3-4 if the personnel works, nickle and 335 looks on passing downs, and a a lot of mixing up our looks...

Hey, I understand the sentiment with names...my mother's side of the family has their last name butchered almost all of the time, it's very annoying. The success in Miami definitely has shown itself, especially with the team you all had last season. That said, we definitely have a lot of work to do on the defensive side and I'm looking to bolster that this year - with that in mind, which position on defense do you consider to be the most crucial to your system and what kind of player do you look for in order to build that system?

The defensive line is the key, not just one player or position, but the D-Line is what you have to build on, they are the foundation of the defense.

Coach Cole, it's a pleasure to speak with you. Looking at what Ole Miss managed to do within a year, going from a struggling season to making the National Championship game...it's amazing, to say the least. A part of that definitely has to do with the defense that you put together and we're looking to interview for our Defensive Coordinator position here in Milwaukee. So for starters, what is your coaching style, philosophy and the kind of tempo that you like to play your defense at?

We go with an aggressive defense, we blitz, we play zone in the secondary, and we look for big nasty DTs who can penetrate the line and get back to cause problems.

This fits on what we're looking for with this team going forward. We're already an aggressive bunch on offense, so we're looking to have that identity be there as a whole.

That said, we're still a young team and we are growing. So Coach, is a long-term project as a coordinator something that you would be interested in tackling or are you looking for something more on the short term?

Understood. I appreciate you taking the time, Coach Cole. We'll be in touch.

Carmine, we're doing another interview...let's talk with Luis Brown over in St. Louis, please.

Coach Brown, GM Strike Guy in Milwaukee. I'm confident you've probably already gotten one or two of these calls, if not more, regarding the possibility of making the jump to a coordinator position. Having played you guys last season, I was really impressed with the work that Coach Tarr, Coach Thigpen and yourself put together plus how incredible that defense was in its first year ever. We're looking for something a little more aggressive this year on the defensive side and I'm planning to go after the defensive pieces to help run such a system. Hypothetically speaking, if we were to hire you and bring you in to help revitalize our defense, which position do you believe is the one we should focus on the most on the defensive side of the ball and why?

Hello again Bobby. So, for Mr. Dupre and with this being the 4th round, I was thinking to possibly do 3 years, 1.75MM?

In hindsight, I probably should have asked if you repped Mr. Wilson during the last call. On Mr. Wilsonís deal, would 3 years, 1.25MM work?
