GM Combine Workshop
« on: May 20, 2018, 10:56:10 AM »
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the HIFL's first ever General Manager Hiring Combine and Workshop.

Today we have hundreds of prospective general managers gathered for a series of interviews and exercises that will help determine who belongs in the front office of a HIFL Franchise, and who would be better suited for a job in the AAF or XFL.

We ask that each of you head to the stations around the facility and complete each task and submit it to the proper representative, once the combine concludes, our experts will confer and you may hear from one of the team owners around the league if they decide to offer you a job, or wish to continue the interview process in a more team-specific manor.

Good luck everyone.

TASK ONE
Mock Press Conference
Answer each question individually, read the scenario for each before answering.

1. Your team just lost the first game of the season in an upset on a last second field goal after your quarterback threw an INT on 3rd down
"How do you insure your team bounces back after this disappointing start to the season?"

2. You are 9-5, with two divisional rival games remaining to close the season, each team is tied with a 9-5 record with only 1 playoff spot remaining.
"With two weeks remaining, how confident are you in your teams abilities to make the playoffs?"

3. Your star player was just lost for the season due to injury, your team is on the fringe of playoff contention despite high expectations coming into the season.
"Who has to step up now that you've lost arguably your teams best player?  Who do you look to now to lead this team?"

4. Controversy has struck!  Your team finds itself in the midst of an off-field scandal that could see your head coach forced to resign from the team.
"With news of your head coach's possible ties to sports betting and organized crime, do you feel that it is better to be proactive and terminate him or will you wait for him to step down?"

5. Your team is 15-1, and division champions.. Now you have lost in a blow out to a lesser team in the Conference Championship round, missing your bid to the Impact Bowl...
"Would you consider this season a success or a failure and how do you keep your team focused headed into the off-season now that you have completed such a magical season with such a crushing finale?"
