They are riding a high after that win in Boise. I don't think I've ever seen our clubhouse in such cohesion.

Discuss the latest series. Did anything surprise you?

Nothing surprised me. The talent we have, the morale were riding and ability of our pitchers meant I was always confident of a clean sweep this week.

Talk about at least one piece of news

Congratulations to  Chris Roque for his pitcher of the month award. Itís a joy to watch a man in the prime of his career showing just how talented he is.

Which player on another team has impressed you the most?

I think it would be hard to ignore the exploits of Justin Blanton this week, the Wiley old veteran rolling back the years and showing everyone heís that form is temporary, but class is permanent.

Talk about your opponent this week. Which player will be the key to win the series?

Jacksonville are a better team then their 4-8 record shows, and have players that can really take the game away from an opponent. However, I would back my team against anyone in the world right now, and we will be aiming to try and cement our spot as a divisional leader.

This is what our scout report says. The Hammerheads are playing .333 ball this season, compiling a record of 4 wins and 8 losses. They are in 4th place in the Atlantic Division, 7.0 games behind the leader. Their number of runs scored of 46 rank 8th in the Coastal Conference, their .300 batting average ranks 2nd. On the other side of the diamond, they have given up 65 runs (6th) with their starters compiling an ERA of 6.34 which ranks 8th. Their bullpen sports an ERA of 4.06, ranking 4th.

Discuss the latest series. What was one thing you loved and one thing you hated?

As I mentioned last week, I believe Jacksonville are better than their record shows, and as such, I am delighted to get the series win and continue our early season momentum. What slightly disappointed me was our potency with the bat, particularly the second game, but there was plenty to be delighted with. Roque, Medina and Sais continue to show just how good they are, while our run scoring on two out show the players mental nerve.

Talk about at least one piece of news

I was interested to see GM Powers unconventional pitcher switch. Having your best pitcher in game 3 makes a lot of sense, as players will have their eye by day 3 and be seeing it like a beach ball by then.

With all-star voting underway, what is one name that surprises you towards the top and what is one name you feel is not getting enough love?

I think the coastal list accurately portrays the players start to the season with few surprises. Perhaps Cruz is the biggest surprise in the Heartland list. Iím terms of whoís not getting enough love, I felt Medina may have been in the pitcher list. Iím also slightly surprised Virginias Beachís newest acquisition Tokujiro Maeda is not leading at short stop.

Talk about your opponent this week. What player on the opposing team do you have to worry about the most

This week we take on GM Franchisesí Aeros. Form would suggest further victories are on the horizon, but theyíre are no easy games in the PBL and with dangerous players like Carlos Maldonado, we must remain focused to get the job down.

Not right now coach, but I certainly think itís an interesting plan B down the line. Right now I feel the pitchers are nicely balanced and Roque being the form guy at 3 works.

How do you feel the series ent? What about the back ups that came in?

The series went well, anytime you can take 2 of 3 from the defending champions, its a good thing. As for the backups, i think we need to adjust the lineups so they are not batting in the top half. Losing Mandy and Cummings for a game a piece might hurt us more if we continue. Might need to look at a better way to get them in without losing our quality bats.

Discuss the latest series. Was it how you expected it to go?

Although sweeping the series isnít something you bank on, it was expected. I knew fully well that if we played to the best of our abilities, the Aeros would have no answer.

Talk about at least one piece of news.

I am delighted to see the buzz that surrounds next weeks match. Traveling to London will be mixed feelings for me, hailing from the SW3 postcode myself. I will look forward to seeing old friends and family, but will be disappointed if I return to California with anything less than a series win.

Who are cheering for to win the College World Series?

I am a firm believer in having a good foundation with the local universities. Seeing as the vermin down in San Diego will be more local to Fullerton, I will be cheering on UCLA.

Talk about your opponent this week. What will you need to improve upon to take the series?

This week will be our toughest test yet, and rightly so the hype for such a series is off the charts. If these talented chaps are to progress to that next level, these are the seriesí we need to win. Through optimal concentration and skill in all facets of the game, especially our pitchers continuing to all impress, I am confident in victory.

Discuss the latest series

An epic series in which baseball was the true winner. I was devastated to lose such a hotly contested tussle but are immensely proud of the guys, particularly how they managed to pull it back in the second game. Although London have clearly set down a marker as the team to beat this year I think we showed what we can do, leading in both games we lost. Bouncing back will be vital, and I full expect us do that after our first series defeat.

Talk about at least one piece of news

I was disappointed to see the entire league in jeopardy due to GM apathy. I believe we owe it to the fans to show full commitment.

With the creativity some teams have explored such as starting your ace in Game 3 and using an "opener" approach. If you've used one of those strategies, will you continue them? If you haven't, will you start? Why and why not?

Iíve spoken about this previously and itís is still something Iím open to explore in the future. Baseball is a constantly evolving game, and seeing new tactics revolutionise the game is exciting to see.

Talk about your opponent this week. Which one of the games is the most important to win for your team

This week is another huge one for us as we travel to another high flying team in Thunder Bay. Here, consistency is key. We have shown brilliance in periods, but if all facets of the game can come together in one series, I am positive we can bounce back in style.

Gut wrenching, but to go as long as we did without a series loss was an impressive run. Thunder Bay is going to a tough team in their own right though.

Gut wrenching indeed coach. It would have been lovely to make a big statement but ultimately their stingy pitchers made the difference.

I have never been a fan of wide scale changes after a loss, I instead would like to see the guys show their determination and mental strength by bouncing back. I have every confidence in our line up, but would appreciate your opinion and feedback on the series.

The only minor change Iíve thought about is switched Morales and Mandy around. Having a left hander coming in second increases our chances for steals, and Mandy has good enough bat control to avoid ground outs and double plays. Only question is would Morales, as a rookie, could he step up first?
