The man I'm about to mention should be no stranger to the people of Nebraska. I'm giddy as a baby on swing to announce Adam Wrong as the first GM of Omaha!

You might want to consider calling an audible on this team, boss.

David Hernandez please.

David... could this be any worse? Is it easier to ask who to keep as opposed who to cut? I'm probably going to start with Farrell and Barragan but anyone else? What about your coaching system? Keep or cut?

Well, good to meet you too? So you want to start off by cutting people? Our first and second round picks from last season? Are you being serious? And are you asking if I should be kept or cut? I know you're the new boss around here, but if this is how your going to kick off our relationship, well then... chupa mis pelotas.

Forgive me for my bluntness but I'm more no nonsense than your regular General Manager so forgive me if I dont invite you round for tea and scones. I'm looking at a team sheet that doesn't instil me with amazement so when I see 12 million being spent on people rated at F and D+ and now I discover that they are apparently 1st round and second round picks, I have questions to ask about their position here.

As for the system, I'm meaning more your staff and whether there is space for them here and whether they are going to contribute positively to the success of this franchise

COACH LUINSTRA

What did you do with Coach? He looks pissed. As for the team, I can't speak too much about pitching, but we're sitting pretty nice as far as hitting goes. We are one of the younger teams in the league, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us make huge improvements in our record this season with a GM.

We could use improvement at first and second base. Outside of that, I think we're alright.

Hey boss, we have ourselves a solid pitching staff now that Barragan has been called up from the reserve roster. Although, I heard you're wanting to cut him for some reason.

I think the team is going to be a work in progress, but we have a great piece to build around in Wolfe along with some solid complementary players. As for spring training, I think it's easier to just roll with our starters and maybe toss some of our reserve guys in there a few games too.

POST SPRING TRAINING

1. Talk about how you feel spring training went. Who impressed you the most? Who did you feel under-performed?
I felt that it went really well. Splitting the difference was a positive sign and as a team on the rise, it's nice to see young talent performing well.

2. Are you going to make any roster changes before the first series of the season?
No. Not at all.

3. As the season gets underway, where do you project this team to finish in the standings?
Pre season is a lucky dip for many teams so it's hard to work out who will perform thanks to using some reserve talent. I'd like to see us just put out decent performances week in week out.

4. Talk about your first opponent and the key to beating them in the three-game series
We start with Mexico City who had a mixed start much like us. It makes for an interesting game. I look forward to the challenge

WEEK ONE

1. Talk about opening week. What did you take away from it?
It was a defeat but only a narrow one. We have a lot of learning points to take from it and develop on and we are feeling positive.

2. Any news stories stick out to you this week?
Brandon Wolfe is an absolute discovery and his performance this week showed what vision the coaches have here in Omaha so all credit to them.

3. Do you think there is PEDs in the game right now?
It's baseball. I think that's a given but if I were to discover it in my franchise, there would be directed consequences

4. Talk about your opponent this week. What will you have to improve to take the series?
We take on a very tough Thunder Bay outfit. If we keep the momentum going from last week I am sure we can make it a tougher fixture than they had last week

1. Talk about the last series. What was the highlight of the weekend for you?
Another series defeat which was tough to take after what was easily a Highlight of everyone's weekend where we won a thrilling game two.

2. Talk about the incoming draft class, do you feel it's too early for players to have to choose this soon into the season on college or the pros?
I think it's a little early to discuss the future of talent at such an early juncture of the season as well as it being too early for youngsters to bet on their careers at this early stage.

3. How do you feel about the potential changes the league is looking into?
It will be interesting to see what's on the horizon. I hope it is for the betterment of baseball.

4. Talk about any other news that sticks out to you?
Another injury for the veteran after one pitch for two games running... That's unfortunate.

I believe any solution to the PED issue that has plagued the sport for years is a good thing for all.

5. Talk about your opponent this week. What will be the key to victory?
It's a prime time match with New Orleans and we are hoping to have a successful weekend.

Two series losses against quality opponents, but I hate that we couldn’t steal one of them. New Orleans presents a tough challenge as well. I think this is a series we can take in front of the prime time audience.
