Birmingham Rattlers

Owner: Mindy Cage
Team Assistant: Mr. Venom

Team History:
Mindy Cage was a very popular porn star in her heyday and she has turned that fortune into a basketball franchise.  Her first choice was not Birmingham, but she decided to finally settle her life down and get married to some rich old guy from Alabama.  She created the Rattlers organization to have something to do and to keep her away from her old perverted husband as much as possible.  With that being said, she is a firecracker and likes to crack the whip.  She is a "tough cookie" who expects results.

Season 1: 23-19
Season 2: 29-13 (Conference Finals)
Season 3: 22-20

I want to win and win now.  I will admit, I'm not the easiest person to work for, but if you have the testicular fortitude to deal with a strong headed woman then we can have some success together.  Is that you?

GM Black Death, I am Mr. Venom the team assistant.  Ms. Cage is excited to have you on board.  She can be a feisty one so be careful.  In the meantime, here is our current team sheet.

The salary cap is $85 million and we currently have $61.5 million committed.  We currently have 7 players on our roster and need a minimum of 12, but no more than 15.

Very good Mr venom...can you get me coach Rolle, I would like to speak to him

Coach Rolle , it good to meet you , I was looking over our team sheet and I had a few questions. It same that in season 2 we made the conference finals. But last season we barely made 500 win percentage. What was the difference between those two seasons and what holes do need to fill this upcoming off-season. What players do you need to make this a championship team

It's a pleasure to meet you GM Black Death.  We lost some talent to free agency in between those two seasons, especially scoring.  I believe we have a decent core but we could use an upgrade in the front-court.  A solid scoring and rebounding big man would go a long way to helping us get to the next level.  I believe Turner could be moved to sixth man, which means we need to upgrade the shooting guard position because I don't want Calvary playing there.  We need a shooter to help stretch the floor.

Sounds like a good plan to me...I will see if we get those pieces for you in the draft and Free agency in the upcoming days. Now are there certain players on other teams that you have your eye on that you would like me to try to get for our team

I believe we have a decent foundation so there isn't anyone in particular on another team that I've focused on.  With that being said, I'm all about improving the team so if you happen to find a deal that will do that, by all means I won't complain.

I like to run a motion offense as it allows to get more guys involved on offense and can lead to attacking the basket or attacking and dishing the ball outside when the defense collapses.

GM Black Death, I am glad that you realize the importance of my client.  With that being said, he is arguably the best player in the league and his story as a small-town kid to top professional basketball player is phenomenal.  Therefore we want a total of $5mm PR to promote him.

It is an extension ...  Your existing contract is 1 year 15 million with 1 million PR.

I have added 3 years on top of that with 7 million and  5 million in PR.

His new contract is now 4 years 22 million and 7 million in PR moving forward. Sorry for confusion ...I will clear it up with the league.  Do not worry your client is sign to us for a maximum contact as of this moment.

Coach’s Decision

Team Captains

Lloyd Calvary
Bernard Spink

PR

Bernard Spink – 3 million  -  A top-flight point guard in the league and one of the leaders of this team I believe. So I feel that marketing is going to have to go a full court press with him. I want his jersey sold at our home arena store and stores across the country. His home and away jerseys, caps, posters of the man in action.  Interviews on Espn, Fox Sports, etc. The main slogan on this campaign is “ Bernard Spinks+Basketball=Skills “ I want T-shirts made and sold nationwide with that slogan

Lloyd Calvary – 7 million- Lloyd Calvary is the best player in this league and he is our star. So we have to treat this man like the star he his. The slogan of this campaign is " Here Comes the Calvary" Billboards around town with him on is and these words next to his smiling face, t-shirts with this slogan on it sold nationwide. I also want jerseys sold the nationwide home and away jerseys. Plus, we need to get him on the TV. ESPN  sports center, Fox Sports, All the major networks. He not only going to be the face of the Birmingham Rattlers, this man is going to be the face of the SBA.

Also, I want his story told in a documentary that we will produce. The name of it will be " Lloyd Calvary: American Hoop Dreams " We are going to explore this man backstory. People his story is the story of America is going to love and once we're done they're going to love him... A small town boy with nothing but a basketball and dream to be the best basketball player in the world. Than achieving that goal. That is Americana, that the American way. We trace his life from all levels of the game from high school to now. We talk to his family, friends, and teammates.  Photos, game highlights from high school, college and pros and etc. We make him look good. Then I want him everywhere to promote it.  Here comes the Calvary … to get us a championship.

Troy Jenkins – 1.5 million –   Our top pick this season. Going to call him the  T-Rex. Why call him T-Rex, Because that basketball court is going to be Jurassic Park and Troy Jenkins is going to be the T-Rex eating everything up. I feel he going to be a future star for this team. Getting boards, jam home dunks off of the offensive rebounds and making life difficult underneath the basket for the other teams.  I want T-Rex t-shirts, caps, jerseys, the whole nine years for this man. Also, let get him on the sports shows. ESPN, Fox Sports, etc.  The T-Rex is here, going to make him a household name

Training

Troy Jenkins – Shooting
Luke Harris – Rebounding
Dionsio Quinn – shooting
