There is no preseason games, the league doesn't deem it necessary.  Not to mention...the schedule still isn't finalized because they have some serious fucktards working at the corporate office.

Anyways...go ahead and handle your business, sir.  Let me know when you're ready to lock in.

I'll let you do whatever it is you need to do in order to prepare the team. Send Brian Rohwer and Tahric Ward to see me, please.
---
Lads, the new season is slowly drawing near and I tihnk we've got a good chance to make a lot of noise. In order to do that, I need you lads to lead this team on the court with your voices and your actions. You two are fundamental to how this team will play and the rest of the lads will be lookig to your example. I'm excited to have you as captains and to see what we can do this season.

Both players accept your challenge and are ready to lead the team.  Your acknowledgment and encouragement increases morale.

Brian Rohwer was player of the game in 4 out of the 6 games we played in the first two weeks and you're asking me about Long. Only two teams played 6 games and Jacksonville were crushed under that workload, but you're asking me about Long. Ales Long is an important part of this team and will win us plenty of games during the season. I'm not going to judge his worth after two weeks but I'm confident that everyone will agree that he was worth every penny when we lift the championship trophy. Seriously, what did you expect me to say?

Rohwer is a 3 time All-Star and our starting PG. Isenhour was his backup but he was making three times as much money. It was a daft situation and an easy decision to go with Rohwer. The move also freed up salary for signing talent right through the squad.

My thoughts exactly. Are we going to have to adjust the minutes on these busier weeks? I saw Long missed a game entirely and Ward played a lot less that I expected in some games as well. I assume that was tired legs.

Long actually got sick the day before the game and was unable to play.  In regards to Ward, there were a couple of games where we were up big and down big so his minutes got curtailed based on the flow of those games.

I could have shut the press up for a week or so with that information about Long. Hopefully he shrugs the effects of his illness off and starts dominating on the court. I'll leave the lineup and minutes as they are for now, then. You can get back to the guys. Send Long to see me.

Doing a whole lot better coach.  Had flu like symptoms that kept me out a game and was still feeling the effects in a couple of other games.  But I'm good to go now.

The team performed well in practice and maintained focused, despite the lack of work the last two weeks. It's a tough opening schedule to go from being overworked in the first two weeks to two weeks of idle time and then switch back on for another busy couple of weeks. Thankfully, the desire to avenge our loss to Olympia is good for keeping our guys reved up.

As for our plans for the upcoming weeks, we plan to put on a show for our fans in our three game home stand and then head to San Diego and kick some ass in front of a hostile crowd as well. We've got to keep playing solid basketball and keep pushing ourselves if we want to keep pace with the top teams in the league. I'm hoping that we'll be the ones setting the pace after this next set of games.

With the way the schedule is set up, I think top spot will keep swapping around as some teams are more active than others. The goal is to be top at the end of the season and I think we've got the team to do that.

Tarquin Oldfield, British entrepreneur, heir to a Fortune 500 company and here to show you that us Eton-bred, ostentatious Chelsea boys have the tools to succeed. I may be fairly new to the world of GMís, but what I have shown is commitment to a franchise, hard work and an ability to mould a team in the right image.

Wonderful. I have kindly been handed over the team sheet and a quick evaluation of each player and I can see the squad runs pretty deep, especially at 1 and 4. How are we for minutes? Any players being over used or any guys wishing to be given more of a chance?

How do you feel about your team at this point in the season?

I feel I have inherited a great squad here in Albuquerque. Beating Denver peaks twice and leading to a GM Wong meltdown is always a bonus, but what impressed me most was the comeback in the first match, which shows great fight and heart. There are things we could improve on, our perimeter defence and our  3 point conversions are two that come to mind, but all in all we have the look of a top team. Thanks Kirk!

What is your strategy going forward?

Iron out a few kinks, ensure the boys are all singing from the same hymn sheet, make the playoffs. Simple.

Who has been the biggest disappointment thus far for your team?

Iíve been here a week so this question is more for the other teams out there. That being said, Greta the tea lady makes one weak ass brew.

Do you have plans to make any trades?

No trades would send the wrong message. These players deserve a chance to show what theyíve got.
