THE RULES - WARNING PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING!!!!

This game will be different than most as it will be played across two platforms.  The night portion will take place here on these boards using your regular user names.  Each day phase will be played in a different QT.  In these day phases you have been given ďusernamesĒ and those will be your names in the designated Quick Topics.  Any Quick Topic under any circumstance must use your given ďusername.Ē As much fun as it will take out of the game using your original QT name or hinting at your other name on any platform will result in a modkill.  This also means you cannot FORCE anyone to answer that question either in any way shape or form.  I understand this leaves some grey area so I will always be the final ruler on all modkill decisions.  Welcome to Tyranny. Welcome to PANCHO LAND!

Make sure to vote in BOLD and on a separate line of text to help the mod when compiling the votes for vote counts.
Remember in the QT world you should always use <b> .

There will be no secretive hidden text, donít try to hide crap in your posts etc etc.

No talking about the game outside of the game thread or your mod assigned QTís or day phases.

You are not dead until the moderator says you are dead, however once enough votes have been cast for a lynch, the lynch will stand! No amount of unvoting will save you; but who knows Ö something else might, so fight like hell.

Once you are dead, you are dead. Do not post anymore. You are NOT permitted a BAH post on any platform.

Night talking will be allowed and WILL BE A REQUIREMENT of the game.  Day Phases will be locked after the day phase has ended but all conversation can continue here on this platform.  You will be prodded if you do not post within 24 hours of your last post BARRING any special circumstance which should be brought to my attention before the skip [minus any and all emergencies].  I hate floaters and inactivity and it will be swiftly shut down Ė even if it harms my game.

If you have a night action you must PM it to me before deadline or it will not be counted.

Role/Character is STRICTLY forbidden.  It wouldnít help anyways. I made it all up. No ESPN User name may claim a QT name and no QT name may claim an ESPN User Name. Falsely doing so will result in the same punishment as if you actually claimed it.

Day Phases will vary in length at my own discretion.  Night phases will last a minimum of 48 hours.

Donít quote anything sent to you from the Mod. That includes role PM information or anything you may receive in a PM or QT from the Mod. If it is something I want everyone to know, it will be posted in the game thread. Clear?

Remember to have fun, avoid personal attacks, and donít take things too seriously. If someone is offending you PM your mod and I will talk to the player in question.  This includes in the QT Day phases where I know who you are!

I reserve the right to change the rules if a situation comes up that I have previously not covered.

IT IS NOW NIGHT ZERO - THIS WILL LAST FOR 36 HOURS OR UNTIL I RECEIVE ALL ACTIONS.  THIS NIGHT PHASE WILL NOT COUNT AGAINST YOU IN PRODDING BUT IF EVERYONE COULD AT LEAST CONFIRM THEY HAVE RECEIVED A ROLE THAT WOULD BE SWELL

WARNING - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR QUICKTOPIC NAMES AND FOLLOW HOW THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO YOU - FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN A MOD PUNISHMENT.  I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS BUT IF YOU ARE NEW OR CONFUSED PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME.

DO NOT POST UNDER YOUR REGULAR QUICK TOPIC NAMES !!!!!!!!!

Night 0

The results of the night are unavailable to you at the night.  After all you just got here.  Oh, Hi. Where are my manners?  My name is Pancho and this is my world.  My world consists of the things that bring me great joy and allow you to experience things on a whole new different level.  Well, at least that's the sales pitch I give every time.  You see I'm not to be trusted.  Not because I'm not trustworthy but because even I don't know sometimes what things happen.  You ever get that itchy cold feeling running down the back of your neck? I got that last night but I can't quite put my finger on it but SOMETHING is different. God this is going to bug me all day.

Anyways thanks for coming.  I wanted to introduce you to where our first trip takes us.  You guys ever watch The Matrix?  Of course you have and hopefully some of you were smart to avoid the sequels.  Now don't get me wrong they had some really good ideas but execution ... well that was a bit short.  However, credit where it is due.  It started me questioning everything around me - what was real what wasn't.  It lead me down a path of self discovery and philosophy the likes of which my family wishes I had never taken.  Philosophy became the foundation of what makes me ... ME!

So today we are going to take a trip into Mega City!

Maybe while you are there ... you too will be able to tell me what's so different.

WELCOME TO MEGA CITY

A new adventure awaits you. Please make sure to explore the grounds and don't forget the rules of the game!!

... BACK IN THE REAL WORLD

Did you guys enjoy yourselves?  It's quite the crazy thing to be anyone you want to be without any ramifications.  Or at least some of you thought you could do whatever you want without any ramifications. You guys are the lucky few who I get to share this experience with ... and some of you are not EXPERIENCING!

Pancho's eyes suddenly go black. His teeth elongate into sharp fangs and his nails extend outward.  He howls at the sight of the moon glowing in the now dark sky.  His skin breaks apart in pieces as his overgrown chest forces his body to get down on all fours to support it.  The sound of skin ripping and bones breaking echo's through the night.

"JESUS CHRIST, HE'S A FUCKING WERE ---"

It's not wise to talk during a great werewolf transformation

MODKILL - JustinP - ONLYUSEmeBlade - Town Day Cop - Inactivity

The Wolfman Howls like crazy as he is now fully nude with the blood glistening in the moonlight

"HOLY CRAP - WOLFMAN'S GOT NARDS!!

Nobody likes a perverted peeping tom.  #MeTooHowl

MODKILL - Franchise - Lord187x - Town Day Vanilla Cop - Deleting Post

Pancho - The Wolfman launches himself running off into the darkness ... his howl echoes in the moonlight. No one dares make a sound to attract the attention of The Wolfman.  Once enough time has passed everyone gathers around in a circle with their backs against each other to get a 360 degree view.

"I guess we're on our own for the night guys ... what the hell is going on around here?"

NIGHT WILL LAST FOR 48 HOURS - DO NOT FORGET THAT NIGHT TALK IS NOT ONLY ALLOWED BUT A REQUIREMENT OF THE GAME. NIGHT PHASE WILL TAKE PLACE HERE. THOSE OF YOU WITH NIGHT ACTIONS DO NOT FORGET TO SUBMIT THEM ... DEADLINE WILL BE SATURDAY 9:30 AM PST

Gets a result of 'Vanilla' or 'Not Vanilla' when investigating a player.

Ahh, thank you.

Based on the two modkills, it seems logical to assume there are other cop variants around. I hope all cops take that into account when deciphering their results.

Wonderful for the town to fuck itself on day 1. Powers directing people on how to interpret their night actions is scummy as hell, but it doesn't matter because I wouldn't know who to vote for in the quicktopic.

Voltron3030 was the first to push for a vote and then went for the safe vote of a guy about to get modkilled. That seems scummy. I say with us not knowing anyone we just commit to a guy to lynch and do it. I'm for Voltron3030.

Based on the two modkills, it seems logical to assume there are other cop variants around. I hope all cops take that into account when deciphering their results.

This says "don't worry about detective work in the day phase because there are loads of cop roles." It also says "if you get a guilty read on me or my scum buddies, you should assume your role is faulty."

Powers is saying that we should rely on cop roles (that we don't know exist) but we shouldn't trust them. That's not town behavior. Speculating that there are other cop roles our there just because we've seen two is not helpful or a particularly reasonable conclusion to make. It's equally likely, from the evidence we've seen so far, that there are two cop roles and they're both dead. Speculating on how many of a particular role are in the game or how a dead role works is not useful for the town but it's great for manipulating the way we view the game.

A more useful conversation based on the deaths would be about whether Franchise did anything in the QT to suggest if he found anything with his cop role.

Franchise usually favours the omgus approach to the game, and he did that a little with a FOS but then he voted for Stallion for jumping on a bandwagon. Not sure that you can read anything about his cop result from that.

I could get on board with lynching Voltron. I understand the frustration with inactive people, but they are almost always town so focusing on voting out inactive players disproportioniatly helps the mafia.

Leave it to Kirk to always get the opposite of what I'm saying from my posts.

I said that, with 2 flipped cops already, it is likely that there is another/are more around. The fact that there are multiple types of cops, some with a negative utility to their roles, should be taken into account by players with those roles.

Basically, a cop shouldn't come on and say "vote for X, they're 100% scum" because it is not that cut and dry this game. They should (in my opinion) take measures to ensure the reliability of their role - things like targeting themselves, targeting a dead player, etc.

It does make sense, I agree. But could that not also come off as scummy? Mafia knows who the other mafia are, correct? Would it not be wise to push for a lynch on a username you know ISNT scum if you ARE scum?

I'm not sure I'm feeling a vote in any direction right now with the points that have been made.

I picked a name of someone active and pointed out their activity. Unless there is a cop who can match names to people we will never have a lynch in the QT. That's all I'm saying. Just applying logic.

You're right there, which puts the town at a distinct added disadvantage because we currently can't lynch a player based on what is said here in the night thread because we can't confirm QT Username identities.

The scum is also liable to try to appear different in regards to posting habits, activity level, and or grammar/expressions than they do here as to protect themselves if they get caught in either day or night phase.

The scum typically get a QT of their own, so they would be able to match QT names in there, wouldn't need a cop...

This is logical, but unless someone gets info with QT names attached it's kind of a crap shoot on town's end no matter what...

Fair enough. We're just already down 2 town... seems hasty to me to be pushing for a vote without any real, substantial information. Hopefully someone will come forward with something that is actually tangible and not just throwing shit at a wall and praying it sticks.
