Robles for sure.  Yes, everyone else was impressive, no doubt.  But the man had over 300 yards in a game.  Let that sink in....OVER THREE HUNDRED YARDS.  He broke the single season rushing mark.  He single handedly saved his GM's job, and took Alabama to the playoffs.  It's Robles and it isn't even close.

It's easier to have a 300yrd game when you take half a season off.

I voted Robles but I believe a strong case can be made for Hagan. The sacks and TFLs speak for themselves but 108 tackles from a defensive lineman is crazy.

I went with Merv Patton. Consistent throughout the season. The numbers are there. The team success is there. Without him they are nothing is there.

Bama without Robles is still a damn good team.

EDIT: With that said, Robles is obviously not a wrong pick. He's the sexy pick for sure.

Fair points, but Bama doesn't make it either without Robles.

True Justin. 100% they are not a playoff team without him.

But they were a team on a 6 game losing streak with him too.

It's a close call between the two for me. But I'm going to side with the guy that was consistent all season and led his team to a divisional crown despite dealing with injuries on his side of the ball for a good chunk of the season. I didn't GM Orlando, so I can't really speak to the specifics of those injuries without having to go back and research it... but I'm sure GM Cory can comment on that.

But like I said, not wrong chosing Robles.

But I have it MVP for Patton, OPotY for Robles

No qualms with those reasons whatsoever. Patton is definitely worth a vote.

I chose Robles but that's because I'd have taken Daley over Patton. You look at how much of a difference there is in San Antonio this year and that too me shows how valuable Daley is.

Patton is the most valuable player at the most valuable position. While other players didn't play "half" the season and others are hired mercenaries that move from team to team to whoever the highest bidder is, Orlando is where we're at because of Merv Patton, year in, year out, game in, game out. Injuries on the offensive line to our starting guard throughout the season, long-term injury to our breakout candidate at WR and having to make a hail mary trade on Joseph Hickson....it felt like no matter what combo was out there on offense Patton not only elevate their play but his leadership helped maintained and develop their play throughout the season. Patton also had to work with an OLine that's young and developing with two rookie starters playing all season.

We finished with a 12-4 record despite having 100pts more scored against that any other double-digit win team...that's because of Merv Patton.

For me it's easily between Patton and Hagan for the award, however:

- St. Paul debatably makes the playoffs without Hagan....luck of the draw that he chose their team to play there this season, who knows where he goes next year.
- Merv is paid what he is because he's our team, he's the franchise QB, he's the franchise. I'd say we'd have maybe 5-6 wins without Merv, MAYBE.

I hear what you're saying, but it's MVP of THIS season bro. Hagan's nomad status and Patton's consistency with you over the years means nothing in this context.

I feel that quarterbacks have had seasons as good as Merv's. But I don't think any running back has been as good as Robles has the season. Even if it was condensed into the last half of the season.

At the end of the day, the quarterback always has his hands on the ball on offense.  Sure, he can hand the ball off...but at the end of the day he has the ball every play and has the option to audible.  For Robles to did what he did....he put Bama on his back the last 6 games or so and balled the fuck out and led them to the playoffs.

I think everyone knows my pick....

Our team was maxed out with Cardale. We were good, but a second tier squad. Keenan immediately changed that. We've got a shot at a championship because of Keenan.

Robles ended the regular season on an amazing roll. No doubt about it. He's easily OPOY. But their record was worse than last year. And a 7 game win streak is great. A 6 game losing streak is not. Daley led our team to 5 and 6 game win streaks and only lost half as many games.

To me it's one of the QBs. Daley was better in completions, comp %, and yards. Patton better on TDs. Daley more wins, Patton won the head to head matchup. I don't think there's a wrong choice between the two, but I'm rolling with my guy...

x2 CRW Tag Team Champion

I voted for Smith again. I just think he is out there on his own at that position. I went for Robles as OPOTY, it was close pick but I agree with the half season opinions, yes it is hugely impressive what he did in that time frame, but, at the same time you have to evaluate how he did in the first half of the season.

Robles single-handedly dragged a drunken Pancho from the unemployment line and into the pent house. Has to be him.

All the reasons people are bringing up not to vote Curt Robles are the EXACT reason they should be voting for him. QB have their hands on the ball at times - so robles does more with less then. Like Talon said itís EVEN MORE impressive he did it in half the season.

It seems the reason most people are voting Patton is not his production but the position he plays. Like the award should auto default to the best QB.

If you do better than the consensus GOAT at the moment - and beat his records - you should run away with the MVP vote

Sincerely yours from the Penthouse, Pancho.
