Mr. Billingsley, welcome to the Stars. You're going to be starting for us alongside some realy exciting young talent. GM Franchise keeps going on about his geriatric monsters, but the HIFL is in for one hell of a shock when you and our other young guns step on the field together for the first time.

Ms. Morningstar, I need to speak to Mike Maker.
---
Mike, I know you're busy with the draft but I need to let you know that I'm going to use the amnesty clause on Kenneth Harrell. I tried to find a trade for him and I even contacted the other leagues to find a team for him, but I couldn't find a team for him. It's nothing personal, I think he did a great job on a poor team last season, but I'm building a new, younger offence so I need his roster spot. I'm doing it now so that people know he's available and can factor that into their plans for the rest of the draft and UFA. I'm sorry.

What type of contract restructure could we do to keep Kenny here in Tucson?  He's a team player and wants to stay if possible.  What can we do?

I have 5 RBs and I need to sign a QB and starting TE, so it's difficult to keep Harrell, but I appreciate his desire to stay and I do think he's a good player so I will shuffle things around for him. To keep him on, first I'll need to send Finlay Hogg (your client) to our minor league team. I wanted to give him his shot this season, but I think he'll get more out of playing in the D-league than he will from being #3 or #4 on our roster. I'll discuss better terms for him to make up for it after the draft. I would also need Kenneth to drop his salary to about half what he makes now. Say, 1 year $4MM and I'll add $1MM bonus and make it fully guaranteed for being willing to make a sacrifice to stay on the team.

Just to be clear, it's also agreed that I will move Finlay Hogg to our minor league team to make room for Harrell? I don't want to confirm that with the league and piss you off over a misunderstanding.

He was RB3 last season, only making $1MM and didn't get on the field. He'll be RB4 this season. I'm offering to triple his salary and to play in Yuma, where he will get significant playing time. He gets a pay rise for the last year of his contract and he can point to his stats in FA instead of how warm he kept the bench. It's a win-win deal. I get the roster spot I need and he gets more money + playing time. If he impresses the coaches in Yuma, he could even leapfrog one of the other RBs and get real playing time in the HIFL.

Ms. Morningstar, I want to speak to David Ames to see if John Livingston would agree to move $1MM from his salary to bonus money. That would be a new 2 year deal for $5MM and $1MM bonus.

I also want to speak to Anthony Campanelli to ask him to adjust Wesley Garrett's contract from 3 years $8MM to 3 years $6MM and $2MM bonus.

If they both agree, we will have a complete roster and can start on prep for our preseason camp.

PR CAMPAIGNS

$500k Fabian Vardy:  Prodigy
$250k: PRODIGY online ad campaign showing his development outside of the US system and highlights from his time with team GB. The highlights should show different aspects of his game and point out that he is a Natural Passer, Natural Leader etc. before declaring him to be a PRODIGY (as described by ESPN)
$250k: PRODIGY billboards of Vardy in action poses

$500k Christopher Boatwright:  Top of the Class
A short film released on your favourite online video websites titled "Top of the Class" that is a dramatisation of Christopher Boatwright's road to becoming the #1 overall pick, with Christopher playing himself and famous GM Kirk lookalike, Sean Bean, playing the GM who drafted him. Think Kevin Costner's Draft Day, but much shorter, less corny and filmed on the latest iPhone (because apparently doing that is a thing). In a shock twist, Sean Bean survives the movie.

$250k Ian McIntyre: Pride of Scotland
Pride of Scotland line of Stars merchandise sold in McIntyre's clan tartan. Particularly boots, gloves, scarves and jerseys.

$500k Steve Wright: Wright On Time
$250k: Wright on Time online advert from 1st person perspective as a RB is running at a gap in the line. His helmet has a visor with a HUD that shows a timer counting down to when he’ll be through the gap and into the open. Just as the timer ticks over to 0:00, the player gets crushed by a bone-jarring hit. The camera stares up at the sky for a second before Steve Wright leans over, smiling down at the RB as he checks a timer on his wristband, nods and says “Right on time.” The ad closes with the caption.
$250k: Steve Wright merchandise with a clock ticking to 0:00 and the Wright on Time caption.

$250k Harry Abel: Ready, Willing and Abel
$250k: Ready, Willing and Abel billboards with Harry Abel breaking up a pass. They will be a set of three in a row: 1. READY Harry in his stance, 2.WILLING Harry busting a gut to get to a ball, 3.ABEL Harry making a leaping PD as the WR has his hands out.

$250k 2Face Obaje: Here Comes the Thunder!
$250k ”Here Comes the Thunder!” advert to be played during HIFL broadcasts. You see a child in the concourse of a stadium running around in a Thor costume, complete with plastic hammer. His father calls him over and as he reaches the foot of the stairs he lifts his hammer in the air in triumph and, to everyone’s surprise, thunder crashes as he does. The boy stares at his hammer as the father and son walk up the stairs and into the light of the stadium and suddenly realize where the thunder is coming from…the sound can be heard again as Obaje lands another thunderous hit on a player. The boy instantly throws away his hammer and cape and grabs two Obaje branded thundersticks (available at the first home game of the season) and bangs them together, grinning from ear-to-ear. Ticket information appears on screen as the child watches his new hero.

MUSICAL LICENSES

1. Thunderstruck (AC/DC) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2AC41dglnM
Played whenever 2Face Obaje makes a sack or TFL

2. Starman (David Bowie) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRcPA7Fzebw
Played during the 2 minute warning TV break in the 4th quarter. The lyrics will be displayed on the big screens for the whole crowd to sing and clap along as one and make it a powerful anthem for the team.
